Personality

Nora was raised outside the brutalities of war. To most she will come across as wide eyed and naïve as she is easily amused by the many wonders and mysteries that have yet to be explored. Nora is charismatic and personable, though doesn’t seem to bother with much with speaking as she is more prone to just doing. She may enjoy meeting new people and gaining friends and allies, however, she is reserved in sharing personal details.

She can be described as confident and courageous, though in combination of jumping into action, she can be prone to recklessness. Nora is hard on herself when criticized and often come across as dismissive when critiqued, her pride may come first which can get her into trouble. Her Master described her as strong willed as she would push her own limitations to accomplish what she wants, however, with secret of her isolated upbringing has come to light, Nora has begun to explore more in her mistakes and inner doubts.

Biography

The disturbance brought her back home. Everything was just as she last saw it, though there was no sign of anyone, even the insects and the birds were silent. The air was cold and there was a darkness that seemed to weigh the rising sun. Home was supposed to be safe.

The end has not come…

Nora never knew her real parents, she was raised by a Jedi Knight, whom Nora affectionately called Papa. He loved her just as his own and raised Nora as his daughter and his Jedi apprentice. Nora understood from a young age that they were different from others in the village. Besides being tucked away in the Outer Rim, they also lived very isolated lives. Secrecy and discretion were valued and Nora was taught it was to keep them safe in a chaotic galaxy. Distrust kept the Knight weary, though as Nora grew older and seeing her happiness with others, her Knight caregiver became more relaxed, eventually taking up different roles within the village.

You have everything you need…

Her first lessons of the Force begun with her abilities of tracking and hunting. They followed unwanted beasts who scarred livestock or harassed farmers, using their senses to lead them to the source. Nora was taught the importance of the Force’s guidance, listening and feeling for the right choice to make. Though it wasn’t without consequence as Nora was taught early about life and death and the cruelty of man and beast. She learned the galaxy would not be a forgiving place, but she could forgive and it would be all that matter.

Nora was taught how to defend herself with a blaster and favored a quarterstaff against the Knight’s expertise in lightsaber combat. The power of the Force was limitless at Nora’s fingertips, however, with the current state of the galaxy, Nora was also taught to defend herself without its power to avoid detection. Even with the Light’s strength, the dark side of the Force was a heavy shadow and as Nora grew, so did her vigilance and understanding on how to confront its temptations.

You are ready…

Nora’s training intensified into her teens, the war that swept through most of the galaxy was nearing the footsteps of their homeworld. The pull to move further from home grew stronger as she became older, the Force called for her to help in places she had never seen. She begun to pick up jobs in neighboring systems, earning credits while utilizing her skills just under the nose of the Exile armies. She never questioned her Papa’s decision not to join the other Jedi and fight the Exiles, but knew their battle against the darkness would come soon enough. On her 18th birthday, Nora was gifted with the title of Knight and encouraged to follow where the Force would guide her.

I am ready…

Home was no longer safe as the darkness grew stronger, heavy, yet familiar in an unnatural sense. It kept her pressed into the earthen floor until like a bell chime, she heard her name, shattering her into start dust as she drifted helplessly into the shadows grasp.

Skills & Gear

Hand-to-Hand Combat: Even without a weapon, Nora is able to defend herself…while subtly using the Force to give her the upper hand.

Hobbies: Nora had found an inner peace by tending to her Master’s garden growing up. While tending, she had learned about various plants and the creatures who preferred them. In addition to gardening, Nora enjoys working with her hands and is talented in carving small animals or figures from wood.

Languages: Nora is fluent in Galactic Basic and various dialects of Huttese. Though cannot speak it, Nora is able to understand Binary and Shyriiwook.

Lightsaber Combat: The Jedi had trained in lightsaber combat since she was a young child. She had started with the basics before moving on to more advanced and complex maneuvers in her practice. Nora favors the quarterstaff and while adopting the basics of lightsaber combat, had incorporated inspirations from the movement of water.

Force Abilities: Nora is a very capable Force user, able to channel its energies to overcome feats and make her enemies succumb to her will. Knowing the powers of the Force are limitless, Nora is able to use its energies to move objects, boost her mental and physical strength, bend wills of the minds, and use her senses to detect abnormalities in the Force caused by the Dark Side. Due to the nature of her work, Nora uses the Force frequently to hide and track, sensing intentions and using the Light to guide her on course; but the girl does struggle in more passive applications such as healing.

Gear: Nora carries only what she needs. Her belt holds a leather pouch in order to carry her datapad, illuminator pen, grappling spike launcher, and enough credits to get her out of trouble. She also has her blaster carried in a holster on the back of her belt, a durasteel 6" knife, and wears a comlink brooch on her cowl. Nora finds armor to be stifling, but wears the phrik plated bracers with her field garb allowing her to blend in with the undercities of the galaxy and allow for limber movement. Due to the scaring on her face, Nora has become accustomed to wearing a cowl and hood to cover her face. Nora's lightsaber and staff are sheathed with an over shoulder strap to carry along her back.

Relationships

Vivek Harari: Nora's Master who took the girl into his care when she was infant and trained her to become a Jedi Knight. Vivek and Nora had a falling out after the girl encountered her biological mother, Ursa Grazioso, but their relationship was repaired following the Jedi Trial of Alais Drast.

Liam Valros: A mysterious Jedi who had taken interest in Nora. Knowing her mother, Liam had searched for the girl in order to help her overcome her doubts and to continue to follow the Jedi ideals. Liam helped show Nora why she needed to return, but their lessons together were short lived as Liam was killed while defending the Jedi Listening Outpost on Devaron.

Jon Reukli: A Jedi Knight who had taken a liking to Nora who viewed him as too idealistic. His compassion for others remains with Nora even after his death.

Alais Drast: A former Jedi ally, Nora witnessed the debacle of her Trial and later encountered the fallen Jedi on Devaron. Alais was responsible for scarring the Knight's face and deep into her soul with the darkside.

Kal Vox: Once a trusted ally within the Shadows, Nora relied on Kal's experience and knowledge to assist in finding the missing Shadow Councilor. Nora's trust within the former Shadow resulted in being critically wounded by him at the Devaron Outpost.

Dennys Waszyllla: Nora's BADASS Friend. After waking up from an evening of excessive booze and spice, Nora found herself with the man on their way to Jakku for Base Diving, which almost ended in disaster. Nora's quick thinking and her powerful abilities in the Force managed to turn their encounter into a lasting friendship.
