Before the prospect of being a Jedi even revealed itself as a viable option, Liere was on the route of performance. With a flexible build and petite frame, the art of dance came easily to the young Hapan. Her family was quick to encourage their little star, pushing her to be the very best she could be and then some. Soon, just being good wasn't enough. She had the talent, they reasoned, why shouldn't she aim to be the very best? Practices became more and more frequent, becoming daily, meals were skipped in attempts to maintain a small form, a single misstep lead to all sorts of needless lecturing.
And yet, she was thriving.
Then, all of a sudden she wasn't. A bad jump in the midst of a recital, a wrong twist of the ankle, and her dance career was over. By scientists' accounts, it should've been over some time ago yet something, a power no quite within Liere's control, aided in her endeavors. Of course, such an explanation did little to satiate her parents, who'd gotten so enthralled with winning, they could scarcely look at the broken girl that'd been left behind. All at once, Liere went from being their pride and joy to their wretched little secret.
With so much of her life already dedicated to an art she couldn't take part in and parents that were more than willing to toss aside that which can no longer benefit them, Liere was in an awkward position. For a while, things weren't looking good for the young Hapan. In fact, it seemed simply being in the right place at the right time would bring about her salvation.
One with an inherent tendency for self-sacrifice, Liere was quick to put herself in danger in the place of others. Allowing herself to be captured by pirates in the stead of some friends, she narrowly escaped a less than savory fate when Jedi intervened. It was in this encounter that her force sensitivity was discovered. Given the opportunity to train and become a Jedi herself, there wasn't much stopping her from saying no.

PERSONALITY.
Determined yet relatively passive, almost serene, Liere is one that genuinely believes in doing the 'right thing' solely because it's the right thing to do. A childhood of competition has programmed her into having an almost cutthroat approach to a problem, with failure being something she takes personally. While she had the determination and skill to survive the competition, she didn't really have the initiative to compete for the top. She's much better suited for a supporting role than center stage, though that early competitive nature sometimes has her acting otherwise.
In situations of high-stress, Liere's almost always one to adopt the peacemaker role, opting for politics above violence. She'd much rather find a compromise than hurt anyone, even if they're marked as an enemy. Get her in a fight and she'll act accordingly, yet she'll almost always attempt a more diplomatic approach even in combat.

Liere still moves with all the grace one could expect from a dancer. Her combat style is inherently defensive, opting to deflect and distract before slashing and slicing. For those reasons, she's stuck to mastering the more basic forms and then going back to meld them all together in a way that best suits her skill. She has flexibility, she has agility, and she has the intelligence to use them.
POWERS-ABILITIES.
A diplomat before fighter, Liere's taken efforts to learn force-based abilities centered around persuasion and subversion. She has the basic abilities down as to be expected by a knight of any caliber, one might even expect her to be slightly better than the average knight giving that her focus has been more force-based than combat.

Lance was always a bit of a problem student among the Jedi. Such was the territory for one whose survival depended on the loss of others. While he was taught compassion, nature dictated he waltz with tragedy, dipping misery in the dance we call life. Coupled with a cynical disposition and a tendency to spar the same way he’d hunt prey, he was far from the most pleasant student. But they couldn’t just leave him to his own devices, could they? They couldn’t just train the beast new tricks and set him free to the feast.
The beginnings of the 100 Year Darkness were his first exposures to real darkness. Before such he’d been dubbed as a bit cooky, in need of a closer eye than others, but otherwise still a valued resource. His eating habits were unavoidable, his masters recognized that. The mysterious beings that were Anzat were not something they were keen on studying. Rather, they tried to direct the hunt, encouraging the apprentice to make his meals out of those already on death row. What they hadn’t recognized was by feeding him such criminals, some monsters in their own right, only fed the inclination to malice that had taken root in the boy. Looking back, one could say they created their own monster.
Sheer animosity would not save him from the Exiles whom the Jedi had quarrel with. His generally poor personality and unwillingness to work with others left the boy severely undertrained in comparison to his peers. With no real defenses, he was captured in the battle of Malastare. Beaten, tortured, and nearly starved, they just about broke the poor boy, relenting only after a fit of rage and poorly fastened restraints led to an Exile become the boy’s next meal. From there, there was no going back to the light, the Exiles and the boy's hunger made sure of it. Trained even further in manners of stealth, Lance would soon learn just how addicting the soup of fellow force sensitives was. Those who sought to control him would take advantage of just that, promising the boy the soup of captured Jedi who couldn’t be reasoned with.
The years went on and Lance continued to be a semi-loyal member of the Exiles. Eventually, he garnered a fairly secure position within their organization, becoming a feared entity known among the Jedi only as a being from the shadows. That all changed when the Anzat took a bite at a bit more than he could chew. A crushing defeat left him grievously wounded. While his body healed relatively quickly due to the Anzat’s regenerative capabilities, his mind was another story. He remained comatose for some time and in a catatonic state even longer, only eventually regaining his motor abilities. His memories, however, and abilities outside of sheer instinct, were lost to the world.
In a horrendously slow process, Lance has been building himself back up to the monster he used to be. Not because he harbors some deep-seated anger. No, his short fuse is directed at no entity in particular. If anything, his rage is driven most by the vague inklets of memory that give hint to what he used to be - a being his current self could hardly be considered a shell of. And most importantly, being stronger means more soup for him.

+ Font of Youth: An Anzat is very rarely ever pressed for time. Some of their youngest would be considered ancient by other terms. If given the chance, they will easily last several hundred years, not even being considered old until they reach their eighth century. Truly, they have the time to kill.
+ Sensory Organs: It’s only natural they have a means of picking their prey.
+ I’ll Heal: Extremely resilient creatures, they are beings that are far from easy to kill.
+ Vampiric Charm: At best, Anzat are physically as strong as a human in peak physical condition. That’s fine and dandy but brute force is only a fraction of the whole equation when it comes to trapping prey. The real killer is their innate telepathic abilities, capable of ‘charming’ their victims, keeping them docile when an Anzat is close enough to strike.
+Now You See Me: The perfect assassins, natural predators, silent killers, the majority of what’s known about Anzat centers around the mystery. Stealth is one of their greatest assets, especially giving that what reports there are of the species indicate they have no pulse, no heat signature. Coupled with startling reflexes and an emphasis on stealth as youth, they live up to the reputation of silent killers.
- Stuck at the Kid Table: To the majority of the galaxy, 124’s getting up there in age. To an Anzat, that’s barely scraping adulthood. It’s a point of contention that’s kept Lance distant from his people for quite some time.
- Nothing Else Matters: There’s nothing quite like the kill. Really, that’s all that matters to the Anzat culture. Names are chosen, not given, and centered around what would blend in best among an individual’s chosen prey. Anything surrounding anything beyond the hunt isn’t deemed unnecessary to practice, rather it’s needless to spread. Why even procreation is something of little consequence to beings that can potentially live forever.
On my own (character-specific)
+ Eagle Eye: When someone gets up close, they’re food. When it’s from far away, they’re just sport. Lance’s taken up knowing the ins and outs of long-range combat, particularly with throwing knives and the occasional blaster.
- Are We There Yet: A life with little observance of time isn’t one that suits Lance. He’s much more inclined to the live fast die young lifestyle. Patience and him hardly get along. With this lack of patience also comes an incredibly short fuse. He’s prone to outbursts of anger, often leading to the replacement of more supplies than he’d care to admit.
- Pain is all the Gain: He’s endured his fair share of pain. Worse yet, he’s inflicted more than his fair share of it. One would say he’s almost too entertained by causing others anguish.
- Caged Bird: Kept loyal only because he’s aware of his current lack of power, at least in comparison to the masters, he wields resent and an air of listlessness about him. The leash that keeps him under control is a loose one, but there nonetheless.

Lance is the type to strike hard and fast, relying on his stealth above all else. If he can’t get in close quick, he’d much rather attack from afar. With a lightsaber introduced to the mix, he favors Niman, prefering to sacrifice not being particularly good at something in exchange for not being absolutely horrible at something else.The real killer is when he does get in close, especially when he’s hungry. With those telepathic tendencies only growing stronger the closer he gets, it’s a near impossibility for weaker individuals to escape his grasp. Now when temper gets into play and he's pushed far enough, reason is abandoned for sheer animosity and force. He'll take those reckless attacks, lose himself in the fight, treat it more like a hunt regardless of the context of the battle.
P O W E R S - A B I L I T I E S .
A being centered around mystery though not out of his own intention, the majority of Lance’s skill set is based around stealth and maintaining it. Whether it be augmented by the force, boosted by natural ability, or just his general lack of presence, he’s certainly one who finds sneaking in and out of areas to be a relatively easy affair.
His force abilities are quite stunted in comparison to where one would expect someone of his age would be. That fact of the matter is one he doesn’t like to bring attention to, often grumbling some form of an excuse and trying to escape the conversation when it does come up. He’s got your basic push/pull down fairly well, and telepathy is backed by more natural means. Beyond that, however, he’s pretty clumsy.

Come one, come all. Get your ticket, buy some snacks, sit back and enjoy a night filled with amazements and wonders beyond your wildest dreams! We of Noah's Ark Circus have been spearheads of entertainment, oddities and fresh talent gathered from the far reaches of the galaxy all to entertain you, good people.
A collection of misfits and performers of the nonconventional sort, the Noah's Ark Circus made its debut almost a decade ago, featuring a group of then-teens and young adults, each with a particular skill set not necessarily useful in conventional means. Since then, the Circus has grown, setting the precedent for others of its kind. On the surface, it's a pure attempt to entertain and make a living of doing so. And for the most part, that's its purpose. Sure, there's the occasional primodona convinced they'll be discovered by a more legitamate entertainment troupe, but for the most part, entertainment is their goal. However, no matter how pure an idea might be, it has to get funding somehow. The Circus, particularly its higher caliber performers, are bound by the will of their benefactor, obligated to make his visions reality, even if that means sullying ones hands.
While maintaining a fairly loose dogma of 'do what you want, so long as the show goes on', the Circus has a very clear class system of sorts. They're roughly characterized as a family both in and out of the show, and that's for the most part true, but there's still a bit of separation. This is a system based on competition and yet, there are severe punishment for interfeering with another's act, including dismisal from the production entirely.
The Circus scarecely stays in one place more than a week or two. If crowds are good, they run as many as six shows a week, taking a day to recover and then getting right back to it, either preparing for more shows or packing up for the next location. The Circus goes where the people are, or at least where the people will follow. They might not be good enough for the big city, but you won't see them on a barran wasteland, either.

History:
Like many great things, Noah's Ark came from humble origins.
It started as a daydream, really, from a youth whose idea of entertainment was a bit too obscure to become reality by conventional means. There was the need to entertain, yes, that was to be expected. But your standard plays and artwork were just too boring for the young man's tastes. No, he wanted something more daring, something that drew in a crowd and left them wanting more. He made friends in like minded individuals, many of which couldn't share in the joys of standard society due to multiple reasons. Deformities beget exclusion, highly developed but otherwise useless talents beget isolation.
It was only to be expected that relative exiles would find refuge in each other, especially when the majority of this small band had a flair for the dramatic. It started as just good fun, making little skits and tricks to fit their odd talents, but soon it became apparent that they could make something of their skills.
There was no easy start, though. The public wasn't quite ready for what this group had in store, nor was it exactly easy to fund from nothing. On that end, this little crew had no choice but to seek help from outside their group. For that, they looked to the Hutts. It certainly wasn't ideal, they'd much prefer to stay far away from the Cartel lest they get pulled into who knows what, and yet this potential show hung in the balance.
Getting an audience was the first step. Then came impressing the Hutts enough to prove themselves, followed by establishing why they'd be better off an independent group rather than just meant for the Cartel's entertainment exclusively. The road to semi-independence was a difficult one but, after months of negotiation, when things looked as if they'd never work out, they received an offer good enough to work with. And thus, the Noah's Ark Circus opened its tent to the public.

There was no easy start, though. The public wasn't quite ready for what this group had in store, nor was it exactly easy to fund from nothing. On that end, this little crew had no choice but to seek help from outside their group. For that, they looked to the Hutts. It certainly wasn't ideal, they'd much prefer to stay far away from the Cartel lest they get pulled into who knows what, and yet this potential show hung in the balance.
Getting an audience was the first step. Then came impressing the Hutts enough to prove themselves, followed by establishing why they'd be better off an independent group rather than just meant for the Cartel's entertainment exclusively. The road to semi-independence was a difficult one but, after months of negotiation, when things looked as if they'd never work out, they received an offer good enough to work with. And thus, the Noah's Ark Circus opened its tent to the public.

The Master
Assets:Owner of the Circus and, perhaps most importantly, the credits that fund it. Most members of Noah's Ark have never actually seen the Master's face, only know him as the mysterious benefactor from somewhere in Cartel space. Higher-tier performers would know him as a Hutt vaguely entertained by the Circus and its allure to other sentients. What the Master says, goes, even if that includes capturing audience members for a slave trade or something of that sort.
Low-TierMostly stagehands and wannabes, almost every newcomer starts in the low tier. Very rarely do these people actually see the spotlight, rather, they're the ones operating it. By day, they're working maintenance, perfecting their act in their spare time. By night, they're stagehands and ushers. Their work is by no means glorious but those with ambition have every opportunity to work up to higher tiers. This is where your standard 'I'm gonna run away and join the circus' starts out. Before even being granted entry into the lowest tier, they've put through a series of tests to determine whether or not they actually have talent. If said talent is there, or they demonstrate interest in working only as stage hand and never as performer, they're given a stage name and bunk assignments. From their, a more experienced cast member is assigned to help them get used to the way things work, make sure they quite literally know the ropes.

Here you have your sideshow acts and group numbers. These are folks that have proven themselves as performers, yet aren't either good enough or trustworthy enough for the responsibilities of holding the spot on their own. The more talented of these folks can be expected to go on as understudies should anything happen to the top-tier performers. While not exempt from the day's work, their labor is reduced significantly to allot for more practice time and recovery. After all, they've earned their position.

These are your stars of the show, the ones that feel the full brunt of the spotlight each night. Seasoned performers, most of which knowing each other since the Circus was in its early stages of conception, the majority of the Top-Tier performers grew up together. Others that managed to get to the top have been indoctrinated into the group through a long process involving displays of their talent and getting on the good sides of other members of the top. If there are any secrets to be had, any less-than-legal activities ordered by the Master, these will be the people to carry them out. These folks are exempt from the majority of the labor of the day, though they are not forbidden and sometimes encouraged to still lend a hand. Often times, their days involve working new acts, mentoring newcomers and understudies, and preparing for the next show. It's not uncommon for a member or two of this tier to be absent for a few shows, out completeing the Master's commands. For this reason (also to give further insentive to work up to this tier) these people have quarters separated from the other tiers.

Make no mistake, the Circus is a business before it is entertainment. With that, comes a core group, mostly non performers, that make up a little hierarchy of their own. While they have little to do with the show itself, they still have a fairly big say on what goes on.
The Master - Overall owner and benefactor. He's not actively involved with the circus or its administration, yet all of the administration's efforts are in some way dedicated to keeping him pleased.
The Bookkeeper - Toydarian male, about as shrewd as they come. He's not exactly interested in the well being of Noah's Ark, only how it fills his pockets.
Marketer - Also not a performer and probably not particularly interested in the circus itself, they've been hired to stake out potential shows and business partnerships before the circus sets to moving to the next site. While there's a group of performers who have been tasked with securing shows, this is the one to get that initial audience.
The Ringmaster - The original mastermind of Noah's Ark, while he doesn't have an act himself, he's the public face of the group. Overflowing in charisma, skilled in the arts of exaggeration and embellishment, while advertisements fill the seats, he is the narrator that keeps people in them. He, along with a handful of top-tier performers, others who were among that original group, head the advertising department. They've found it's better to send the more experienced performers - both due to their vibrant acts and personas that have been perfected to appeal to any crowd, but also for safety's sake. Younger performers don't always excel in reading situations, when to back off and when to see yourself out of an encounter and whatnot.
Franny - Head costumer and don't you dare let her hear you disrespect her work. While not a performer, she's mastered the art of drawing attention with her colorful handiwork.
Doc - Super unoriginal name, he knows. He still refuses to give the performers something else to call him, but he's well aware of the generic name. If one couldn't guess, he's the main medical personnel the Circus has to offer its performers and on the rare occasion, guests. He's by no means a miracle worker - rumors say the Master picked him up after his medical license was revoked for malpractice - but when one lives on hardly anything as is, you take what you can get.

Very much a 'pack up and go' establishment, Noah's Ark is fairly limited in assets. They have no official place of lodging, only five 35-series Light Freighters to transport both crew and equipment from one system to another. With the loss of these freightors, the Circus is next to nothing. Sure, depending on how successful they are as performers, their benefactor may be inclined to replace the essentials, but that wouldn't make up for countless props and costume pieces made unique for the performer, nor any sort of trinkets and whatnot one might keep for sentimental reasons.

Intent: Who doesn't love the circus? A lot of people, actually, but let's ignore them right now. The circus provides a colorful out for those who wish to avoid typical dark versus light, Exiles versus Jedi versus Hutt Cartel, while still having plenty of opportunities to get involved in the tension. Not force-affiliated whatsoever, maintaining independence from the Cartel (sort of), this has the opportunity to be the Jack-of-all-Trades organization, a place someone can go if they have an appetite for the light-hearted. At the same time, a traveling circus brings plenty opportunity for espionage as well as potential for a much darker element.
