Once again Sumas found himself in Underworld. In Underworld there was no such thing as law or factions. No Sith, no Mandalorians, no Republic. The only people down here were the ones trying to survive. They didn't have a say in much, they only wanted to survive. Crime was rampant, murders were numerous and gangs were constantly getting into trouble. To think that he called it home at one point was strange.

Not that he minded, though.

Places like Underworld, Corellia and Taris made a man out of him. It made him believe that he earned his tattoos as a Zabrak. And despite having joined the Mandalorians, he kept contact as best he could for moments like this.

Things were going slow for him right now, so doing odd jobs here and there helped pass the time and fill the pockets. He had gotten in contact with a guy in the Bounty Hunters' Guild that said something about a psychopath that needed to be put down. Supposedly a bounty hunter, but he didn't seem to have an issue killing off civilians. Sumas could definitely see the issue with that. So he signed right up to help out and decided to drag along a rather depressed Shistavanen that literally got his backside tazed in the tournaments.

"Don't worry. We'll go in, shoot the guy, leave, then get stinking drunk in one of the other drinking holes down here." he explained to Skylar. "Who knows, maybe we'll be able to pick up a chick or two." he added with a shrug, smiling behind his T-visor. He didn't dare take it off down here. He had a fair share of friends, sure, but he also made some enemies in his time as a mercenary down here. "You look like some company could pick you up." he continued as he looked ahead of them.

"The target is in the bar up ahead. Hopefully we don't get spotted right off the bat and get the jump on him....I just hope it goes better than last time." he said as he walked, recalling the time he got the Silent Badger shot in the chest. It was starting to become quite clear to him why the guy was always to salty around him...

It wasn't just that he had lost badly and in a humiliating way in the tournament that was causing Skylar's depression. The entirety of the Mandalorian people had progressed while he was still just where he was, making feel useless and that he could never catch up to anyone. Even Sumas, who had invited him along out of seemingly pity, was held in far more esteem and had many victories to show for what he had done, despite how his peers seemed to treat him like a joke. Skylar had hated what had happened to Medriaas, what had happened to Mandalore, and that hatred burned in his veins. He hated himself most of all, though, feeling like he didn't even belong with the rest of the warrior race. He'd only gone along because he couldn't afford to turn the man from Clan Solus down, that would have really put the nail in his coffin.

"Understood. I'll start looking around for him." Skylar was glad no one else could see his face under the helmet he wore, the less people who knew of him the better. He didn't even care if he died during this excursion, or any other. No one would miss him, no one even knew he really existed. Maybe something would come of this mission, yet he doubted it. He moved to stand against the wall of the bar, looking over the place for either their mark or someone else acting suspiciously. Suspicious usually meant dangerous, and with what Sumas alluded to happening last time it wouldn't hurt to be on the lookout.

"Copy that. Keep in touch." Sumas said, tapping his commlink on his vambrace to indicate what he meant. He could tell the guy was depressed to Mandalore and back...hopefully something exciting happens. Otherwise Sumas was going to have to spend his money to get the guy to cheer up. Why was everyone so depressed?

They entered the bar and Sumas broke off to the left to get a different perspective while indicating to Skylar to move to the right. He kept as low a profile as he could, brushing the chin of a girl that seemed to check him out. But he kept himself in check. They needed to kill a guy. He kept along the sides and moved through the crowds of people. Despite wearing Beskar'gam, they managed to avoid any unwanted attention. In all honesty, they blended in quite well among the bounty hunters, mercs, gangsters and other undesirables.

Sumas kept moving until he asked a waitress for a pint of beer with a straw. She seemed taken back by the request of a straw but she did as he asked. "Skylar, you see anything?" he asked as he waited for his drink. They had a picture of the guy, but finding him in the crowded bar wasn't going to be easy.

As much as he believed he was useless, Skylar's talents lay perhaps not as much in combat as they did in engineering. One of the big requirements of that field was problem solving, needing a keen eye for detail and quick reflexes for when something went wrong. It was because of that skill that he spotted their target fairly quickly in the bar, while he himself was still in the darker part of the building. It seemed the man was quite cocky despite his notoriety, or perhaps because of it, having many glasses in front of him and not a single piece of weaponry at his belt. He was quite drunk, a small burst of luck for the two Mandalorians. Regardless of him being an honorless cur, he was still dangerous in a straight up fight. Without a weapon, though, that danger decreased a fair amount. "I've spotted him. Third table from the stage, next to the colorful tourist couple. He appears drunk and unarmed. I'll keep watch and have your back."

As Sumas' drink arrived, he immediately started sipping on it through the straw. His eyes scanned the floor as his mind contemplated throwing a grenade behind the bar counter for selling stuff this horrible. It was so hard to find a good beer these days. Skylar's voice perked up in his helmet, making him drink the beer much faster despite the awful and watered down taste. "Copy. Keep an eye out for any friends of his. I'm closing in." he said over the commlink, thanking the gods for the unbearably loud music that helped not to make him look like an idiot.

He placed the glass down and made his way through the crowds towards the man. When he got there, the target was utterly wasted. "Hey man, you work for the Guild, right?" he asked the man casually. "What's it to you?" the target fired right back rather irritably. "I have a target and I'd like to hire you. Come on, I'll buy you a proper drink somewhere else." Sumas said, keeping his cool and sounding rather genuine. After a few seconds the man agreed and rose from his seat. Sumas led the way and the man followed him outside the bar. "Skylar, watch our backs. Taking him outside." he spoke softly into the commlink to prevent the man from overhearing.

Hopefully they were in the clear...

This was all going too good to be true. The target was following Sumas right to his own execution with a smile on his face. Well, he had his own part to play, so play it he did. He waited around a bit after the two had left, making sure that they weren't being followed from within the bar. For all they knew this could have been a trap and their target was more crafty than either of them had expected. As no one followed, Skylar came to the conclusion that he was just a jackass. Oh well, one less murderer in the galaxy. It was when he turned to leave that things got complicated. A fight broke out right at the entrance of the bar, two patrons breaking some bottles and doing the deadly drunk dance right in the way of everything. It would give them away if he drew a weapon to break things up, especially in full armor, so he had to wait for the situation to calm down. The good news was that Sumas wasn't being followed. The bad news was that it would take time for him to catch up. "You're not being followed but I've been held up at the bar. I'll be there as quick as I can."

Sumas was having a hard time believing things were going so smoothly. Compared to the last time he did this, this was the polar opposite. Unfortunately Skylar got help up on the way out with some guys fighting right in the doorway. "Just keep a low profile. No need to let the bouncer catch you." he spoke over the commlink, taking note of the enormous Trandoshan by the door watching the fight. Thankfully Skylar wasn't as high profile as the rest so he should be fine.

Outside he led the drunken killer into an alley. "We'll take a shortcut through here." he explained to the man as he walked. In the alley he kept walking until he came to a halt beside the dumpster. "Here we are." he said casually as he turned to face the man. Before he could even process what was happening, Sumas buried a wrist blade in his chest. He held onto the man as he slumped down, watching as the life drained from his eyes. As soon as the man was dead he hoisted him up and dumped him in the dumpster, closing it up. "Target eliminated. What's your status?" he asked Skylar as he stood by the corner to keep an eye out. The kill was clean and there were no witnesses or cameras. All that was left was for Skylar to catch up then they can go drinking.

He really hoped they were home free. Watching from the corner of the alley, he got ready to help Skylar out if things got messy for him. But the Shistavanen was smart. He would get out of there without much issue, Sumas was sure of it.

Skylar saw an opportunity to get out of the bar and took it. He was about to answer Sumas, turning on his commlink as he was exiting the door, when a thrown bottle smashed against the back of his head. On it's own it wasn't damaging, however the force caused him to knock his head into the door frame with enough force to cause his head to ache and to make an audible sound on the commlink. "Oww...Sorry about that. Exiting the bar now. Where do we meet up?" Again, while Sumas had effortlessly taken out the mark with the skill of a trained assassin, all Skylar could do was be clumsy and embarrass himself in front of someone with higher esteem than him. He didn't let this leak into his voice, though. Then he'd just receive pity, which would hurt even more. Still, it seemed that this trip had been less deadly than the last time Sumas had been down there. That had to count for something.

Sumas couldn't help but chuckle as he saw a bottle hit Skylar in the back of the head, sending him tumbling into the doorframe. Skylar probably caught it over the commlink as well. As the kid emerged, Sumas made his way over to him. Once he reached him he threw an arm around the guy's neck and pulled him along. "Right here! Now that this mess is behind us, let's go celebrate on a job well done!" he proclaimed as he led the way away from the bar. "I know this other place down here. Miles better than this dump. The drinks are cheap but good, people keep to themselves, and the women don't look like they're going to give you ten different diseases as soon as you touch them." he explained as he walked with his arm around the kid's neck.

"Then after that we report back and get back to crusading. I heard you're a pretty solid mechanic. I think I'll need your eyes on my ship, the thing's acting up." he continued, finally releasing the Shistavanen's neck. "Plus then you can tell me what's eating you up. I can see right through that T-visor that you're feeling lower than the dregs on this level." he said as he gave Skylar a nudge.

Oh, great. Sumas had noticed, though of course he would notice. ANYONE would notice. That's why he hadn't been around anyone else until he took this job. Well, no reason to hide things anymore, or try to. "What crusading? You're the only one acting like a Mandalorian." The bitterness was directed at himself, not at Sumas. He sighed as he followed the other man, not really caring where they went. He didn't drink, didn't like the taste of alcohol, but forced himself to drink it when he was expected to. "I can at least take a look at your ship. It's really the only thing I can do well. The only other time I did anything it was...Well, I suppose that can wait for the bar." He didn't know if this was going to be a good or bad day, even with how well the mission went. At least the physically hard part was over, and a murderer was dead thanks to his own hubris. He'd take the small things.
