BIOGRAPHY
Oedipus Menelaus was a Juvexian prince during the Force Eternal era. Born the second son in the royal line, it was not expected that he would ever rule, which seemed to present as more freedoms for the young prince.
Raised in a brutal, loveless family, Oedipus was forced to rely on his own wits and charm to get ahead of his brother's schemes. The young man formed a close personal relationship with his mother which seemed to be unique in their family, but while he wouldn't always escape her cruelty, every so often he might receive special treatment. Oedipus fiercely considers any man that gets too close to his mother as a threat to his position as second in line for the throne.
It was not entirely uncommon for family members to die in battle, a fact that had been drilled into each generation of royalty. While a death of the monarch would certainly bring unrest, conflict and other schemes into light, it would also provide opportunity. Oedipus was quite aware that if, by the gods, his father were to take ill and his elder brother fell in battle - then the heavy responsibility of the crown and by extension providing for the family, would fall to him.
Skills
Oedipus has extensively trained in order to maintain a peak physique, including several weapon classes. His preferred weapon is the spear, although he is also quite the shot with a pistol.
