In the Cazalzan City on Onderon it was raining. It had been raining for days. It was perfect for the harvests of the outlying farms that rested beyond that supplied the city with lush and fresh fruit that would be collected only a few weeks away. For those poor souls that dwelled in the city it meant slick steel streets and hazy lights. Dim fog rolling in and damp clothing that would bother anyone that was cloaked or covered in any form of fur.

For Vako this was no so much a problem. Toydarians dwelled in dry or swampy conditions, so while the rain made flying a bit more difficult, it was a welcome relief on his naturally dry skin. If humans liked having their skin moisturized, a creature like Vako was in absolute bliss. He reveled in feeling the droplets absorbed by his pores, giving him the pure hydration that he dreamed of on his homeplanet.

Yet for all of his enjoyment, the rifle in his hand was more the figure at the forefront of his thoughts. He was waiting for a quarry to finish a deal. A well struck and easily handled dealing that would be of no true issue.

The bad broker, Gayazo Juzatt, a Hutt by species and broker by trade, lived in a high rise there in the Cazalzan City on Onderon. He likely had a pair of body guards a security system in that penthouse he lived in. But a Hutt like that likely didn't call the police. If he did he would likely be as arrested as fast as the perpetrators.

Ironically Juzatt didn't work for the Hutt families. He was more of an independent party as Vako understood it, and the Black Sun wanted him dead within the month. The public offering would be in two weeks, but Vako was granting a chance to a handful of Mandalorians.

"Let's see if legends are true." He thought as he stood there.

He'd opened up his position for them to meet, it was just a matter of when. Once they'd arrive he'd lead them to the place, let them do what they did, and then give them what they wanted. What they desired lay in the landspeeder behind him, manned by a pair of Weequay fools that barely knew which end of a blaster to hold.

And so he waited in the rain, rifle in hand, for the Mandalorians to appear so the work could begin.

Rakiss walked at a slow pace, he was coming up on the position he was sent to meet with Vako. The deal now was to be rid of a target the black sun wanted gone, Rakiss was just happy to be on the hunt again, it had been a while since his last job.

After a few minutes Vako was now in view. Rakiss slinging the long range blaster rifle he had on his back to talk to him. “Looks like I’m the first to show, I’m glad we came to the agreement we did. The others will be along shortly and we can get down to business. But how are you? I do hope you made it here in good health.” Rakiss said to make small talk.

He found it best to pass the time to just talk a little, helped to loosen things up since the last meeting they had. Besides he was a partner now in business, that meant something to Rakiss.

He then sends a message to Laren and Cass over his arm bracers screen. “Made contact with Vako and will remain at the meet point for your arrival, the sooner we start the sooner this will be all over for us to collect the rest of the Cubs.” As for his cub he was on his ship waiting for him to return.

The little one caused a little trouble here and there but Rakiss understood he was young and needed time to adjust, so for the time being would keep him safe in his ship until he could come back and train him further.

Laren arriving noticed his brother was here already. He landed beside where the coordinates pointed to. The Mando had been setting things ready for take off later after. In case the thugs get trigger happy. He looked down to his little companion BD-3 in the copilot seat and said,

“Stay with the ship. I’ll be back soon. I promise.”

Then the Mando had began to leave the ship when his Tac droid, Cryptic, spoke,

“You’re probability of success is 82% would you like to know-“

Laren ignored it as he left the ship and walked towards Vako. The Toydarian stood with his goons. Of course Laren had to make sure the packages were on the speeder.

“Let me see that they are here.”

Laren stood with one thumb tucked in his belt with a slight tilt of the head. His firing arm free and readied to quick draw if needed. Patience was there, just very little. He was ready to go in and kill the target and then claim his packages. The Black Sun run things much worse than the Hutts did.

The Mandalorian appeared in the rain almost out of nowhere. Not together either. He had expected them all to be in a team, but they were already spread out. Either that meant they weren't connected, or they were already preparing to stalk the target. In a way it was exciting to watch them work, but he was more excited with what the outcome would mean if everything went well.

"Good health?" Vako answered. "Seems so, but situations are always..." Vako noticed the second ones arrival as he was speaking, appearing right out of the rain in the dark. Had he been stalking Vako, he probably would not have all three fingers on each hand at the end. "... fluid" He finally finished his sentence.

Upon the request to see the Nexu, Vako didn't hesitate. "Gycha! Nukchu'wo'wana' tona." He barked the order to one of his thugs, who quickly opened up the back of the Landspeeder. There was a guard watching the very same cage they'd been in before, and there remained the two Nexu. They were a little more active as Vako was looking to hand them over. He could save the sedatives for other things and the Mandalorians didn't seem as fond of them.

Vako held out a holopad, and projected an image of a building. "It's that one there." Vako said pointing up at it. The building was before them, but the Hologram gave a projected layout. "Upper floors, probably a few friendly guards and some wired security system."

Vako handed the holopad to them, easily replaced. "I don't know much about bounty hunting, so if I don't know that I'll be much use up there, but I can watch feeds out here and give you a heads up if there's trouble."

That was not something Vako anticipated, but it was something he was prepared for. He was not looking for an angle to betray these Mandalorians either, he just had a feeling that one bird with a rifle that had a reputation for open confrontation was not going to get the job done any easier.

Cas touched down around the same time that Laren did. Like clockwork, they had retained communications enough to coordinate. Unlike her counterpart, however, Cas’ droid was attached to her as she exited the Winged Pike. A Scout Droid was not good for much if it was not able to scout, after all, so it piggybacked on its master.

[“It’s rainy, Captain.”] Rawl beep-booped.

[“That’s because it’s raining, idiot.”] Cas confirmed.

Spotting Vako and the Vanos, she ambled up with a simple nod of her helmeted head in greeting. As before, Cas had come with rifle in hand, along with sword and pistol and grenades and other cozy things.

“Well I guess that’s everyone,” she assessed before looking toward the Toydarian. “On to the mark, then.”

Rakiss heard Laren approach, he then heard the tone given to Vako. He then turned to Laren and placed a clawed hand on his shoulder “Slow..... down....I get why you want to see but you can’t be brash to our partner here, we are mandalorian our honor and tradition is kept because we do things different. Besides that, if we want this to go smooth you have to play nice. This is their product leave it to them to not hold their end.... focus on the target.... prey comes first, remember I take the hunt serious Laren, don’t forget that.”

Rakiss wasn’t mad, he just wanted to remind Laren that we didn’t have to like anyone outside the group but at least treat them as equal until otherwise proven. At the same time Rakiss had already looked to see if they were here.

from what he could tell they were but now it was confirmed. He then took his hand off Laren and looked away from the group to Cass who had arrived “Seems so Cass, the hunt is on. You seem ready for the occasion.... let’s hope it’s not a bland hunt, I do hate stale prey. As for Vako he seems to be helping quite nicely at current so let’s give him a show to remember”

He then unslung his rifle, Laren had his brute strength and ways with a blade. Rakiss loves a cold knifes edge but wasn’t as physical as his younger brother. Range was his game and he so loved to pick targets from afar, he looked over the weapon making sure everything was in order. As he spoke to Vako again “Unless you want this done a certain way..... me and the others are capable of hashing this out, the help you can give I’ll take, makes it interesting for us to have eyes where we are not.”

Laren listened to his brothers empty words. Honor comes from being respected. The only way to earn respect from thugs is to show you are the fighter you claim to be. Yet, come to think of it.. Laren hadn’t done any wrong.

“Brother next time you try to set me in place, it won’t be pretty. I say that out of respect and love for you. Had you been a rando, well, you know.”

Laren turned to walk backwards with his face to Vako, then lifting his arms. He clacked his fists together and lifted his middle fingers right after.

“Welcome to the party!”

Having a little fun with it he began to kinda dance backwards as he did a 180 degree turn to face the direction they planned to go. He hadn’t cared much to talk at the moment. He only wanted this target dead.

Rando. Mando. Friendo. Cas grinned behind her helmet at the brotherly exchange between the Vanos. She would have expected nothing less.

She had told Laren about her own brother way back in that cantina they had gotten drunk in; about how she had threatened to throw said brother out an airlock if she ever caught him stuffing himself with spice again. It was a weakness neither of them could afford, nor their family.

Rakiss had been enthusiastic enough to receive his Praxor friend. “Always ready,” Cas nodded his way. “The three of us have been giving a show to remember so far. I don’t think this time will be any different.”

Laren felt the same as he did a 180 and danced along. Cas could not help but chuckle. “Nice moves, vod.” She was just as much amused by what her non-Mandalorian party might think of their antics. After all, not everyone took the serious business of death and destruction as playfully as these three Mandalorians did. It was just...in their nature?

Arriving at the building, their target was revealed to be on the upper floors, which was no surprise. Why wouldn’t he be? “Someone get a schematic of this building,” Cas motioned while busying herself with another avenue. “I’ve got a Scout Droid who can give us a different visual…”

After summoning her servant through internal communications, Rawl appeared a moment later and beep-booped for all to hear if they understood droid.

“I have come as bidden, Cas.”

“Great. I now bid you to scale the building and report on your findings. Shoo.”

Rawl was up and away. It wouldn’t be long before he made himself useful.

The Mandalorians were off. The situation on the ground in many ways was just as similar to that in orbit. Perhaps it was the brashness of youth or the innate confidence of Mandalorians, but they were proud and aggressive with each other in ways that Vako thought was best to just stay out of the way of. It was important for the business relationship that toes not be stepped on... and Vako kept his airborne to avoid that altogether.

He waited at the vehicle and scanned local authority channels. There was not likely to be any interference at all. And even if there was, Vako and his goons were likely to either distract, or interdict them long before they got to the target. Vako could handle local police, but he was not interested in letting the bounty get away.

The Mandalorians would have several ways to get into the building. There was a roof access, the main lobby, or any number of hard duraglass windows. Once inside they would no doubt find the bodyguards on that Hutt's payroll patrolling those hallways. It was probably not many, and there was a chance they were not even awake.

The Hutt's slept hard, so they'd have to find their way into the bed chamber. The entire suit would be filled with finery and items that evoked the Hutt's stature. But if awakened, he could potentially trigger an alarm calling forth cops and potentially more guards.

Laren and the others made it to the building that the target would be in. The rain was making this whole shindig peaceful for the second half of the Vano brothers. He stopped his dancing of course, and then pulled up a holographic map of the building. It was rather large. But not too large. It was durable and the windows would be the fastest way to the target if they knew what floor they were on, but they would have to play the waiting game to figure that one out. Cas' droid would have to find the target location and then the Mando trio could attack without taking out unnecessary targets.

On the other hand, have you met Laren?

Killing endless goons then a boss was exactly up Laren's alley so of course he would turn to face his friend and brother. There was only one thing on his mind. Death. If there were 'bad guys' to kill, then you can count Laren in on the action. Whether the others felt the same, Laren figured it would be a bigger discount for killing every last Hutt guard in the building as well. Then he had a plan form in his brain and began speaking to them,

"I will enter through the main lobby. Rakiss take the roof entrance. Cas once your droid has a visual, go through the window of the room and secure the target. He might have something of value to us."

The he turned back around as he walked towards the main entrance. If there were questions they could use their comms. He wasn't slowing down one bit. The targets were waiting for their numbers to be called, and Laren was the one with the drawing bucket.

At Rawl’s return, he confirmed what Laren’s map had expressed, namely that there was a whole host of windows to choose from if not taking the roof. A Scout Droid proved useful in pinpointing how to open such hatches quietly while the map showed where they were.

Neither proved useful in pinpointing the exact location of the bounty, though this was to be expected; the Hutt’s room would not be so easily discoverable from the inside or the outside. He surely had his own jamming devices as much as a plated window.

The little droid did, however, narrow the floor down which was easy enough upon cross-referencing multiple windows with multiple guards; a denser cluster of them on that floor. It was all that the droid’s master would need. Her mind was made up even as Laren began relaying his plan before Cas relayed the floor number.

“Give ‘em a good show, Vanos,” Cas encouraged as she checked her weapons.

With Laren taking the main lobby and going in guns blazing he would provide the main distraction. Meanwhile, Rakiss could clear a path from the roof to the Hutt’s floor and further relieve Cas of reinforcements from above. By that point she would have the bounty in her possession. And dip back out the window, ditch the Vanos and claim the prize all for myself… It was a tempting thought as she eyed those brothers behind her visor. But not tempting enough.

“Praxor’s up and away!” With that, the Mandalorian kicked her jetpack into gear and took off, concealing her ascent by taking a corner of the building that was mostly durasteel and duracrete without windows for prying eyes.

Rakiss sighed as he was about to make his way to the roof entrance now seeing Cass fly by with her jet pack. The mandalorian not having that kind of hardware to call his own, instead using his grappling cable to attach to the higher floors and let it retract to pull him up as he would make his way to the roof.

“That would be nice right about now....” he muttered over the teams coms then came again saying “Cas.... kinda making me look bad here hehe..... I’ll have to make up for it now that you’ve shown me up a little, I think I’ll make an entrance of my own.”

Rakiss humored himself with the comment, knowing full well what the others would likely do, but he had his own ideas. Finally making it to the roof moments later he looked over the edge to see cas trying to slip through a window “Show off...” Then to Laren about to bust the front door in like he always did “Little too mundane for my liking....”

Rakiss then looked as he saw a door leading inside the building, giving the handle a giggle it was found to be locked. Rakiss rolled his eyes in his helmet and too his knife out and started to pry at the lock. After a few moments of tinkering with the door it came open. “Can’t believe that worked... well guess I’ll let myself in then.” Rakiss then stepped inside and coming down a few flights of steps before him. Choosing one floor to start on as he snuck around.

“I’m not seeing anyone.....” He said as he opened a door finding nothing then opening another being cut short by what he found. “This is awkward.....” He would say as he now found himself on a sort of break room of about 6-8 hired guards about it, relaxing from a guard shift. Now all of their gazes on the lone mando, he looked around a bit and noticed something about all the guards as they stood up slowly. “Seems like none of you have blasters..... not allowed in here I would guess?” “No” one spoke up while some readied to fight with their fists and some pulled their blades. “But you seem to have a rifle in your hands, but id say you can’t take all of us, your stuck with us now.”

Rakiss chuckled, “That or your trapped with me..... guess we can find out.” He said pulling the blaster up and putting one in the front guards chest. As he fell others came for Rakiss but before he could shoot again they were too close for the space they were in and managed to knock it away. Rakiss thought to go for his blaster pistols but had already received a few blows to his helmet from the guards. Staggering him back now he traded blows as he went. Avoiding blade and fist both on this uphill battle.

He was finally able to get a hold of his own knife and start to really take on the group of attackers not knowing his coms was still open for the others to hear him struggle “Why couldn’t it be Laren in this mess!” Then taking a blow from a chair that could be heard on coms “That meat head could like this better then me, I always favor......” He lost his knife and pushed off his attackers just enough to draw both his blaster pistols. A volley of blaster fire could be heard through the coms then a silence. A few moments go by without another sound.

A few moments go by and Rakiss could be heard taking a breath in and sighing “Having the range on my mark...” He then caught his breath and hoped it wouldn’t draw too much attention. The mess he made was not an easy one to clean, hearing muffles through his coms he couldn’t tell if they were laughing or what was being said at the moment but adjusted it to hear clear.

“Oh..... didn’t realize this thing got turned on during that.... let’s agree not a word of this. Laren what ever you heard I don’t take back tough love brother, catch me after this if you’d like me to knock you on your hide again..... Cas if anyone asks or you retell this story let’s agree...... there were 30, and they never laid a blow on me agreed, I’m even up to buy your silence name your price, Laren it’s easy to shut up, but I feel you are more tactful with blackmail, take it as a compliment.” He picked up his blaster rifle and stretched a second before going out the door to continue his room clearing, but just a tad more careful.

Now he was on his way again looking for their mark, as he continued he wondered how the others were getting along, since he had already found a way to get himself jumped. “Onward for more I suppose.”

The Toydarian remained where he was. He did not have any connection to the security feed, but somehow he had the impression things were going well. He got random clicks from the comlink and heard blaster fire and a struggle through it. Without the overwhelming chatter of someone being injured he was working on the assumption that the Mandalorians were winning. He would not know until they came out... but somehow, Vako knew that who ever was in front of them was not long to remain living.

Once Laren entered through the main entrance he noticed it was empty. Typical, most places don't have staff just sitting about like they're supposed to. So the Mando made his way to the double doors at the end that led to stairs. As he ascended each step quietly he heard voices. Guards were placed in front of a door to the end of the hall. Must be something pretty important in there. The Mandalorian drew his blaster and aimed down the sights around the corner and shot two shots. Each made their way to the dome pieces of the poor guards.

"And that's how it's done."

Laren was sure there would be more after those shot so he waited outside the door with a fragmentation grenade in hand. The door opened revealing a Zabrak thug ooking him in the face, well visor. The guard immediately went to reach for a blast but Laren reacted quickly grabbing their arm and twisting it, as he screamed in pain the Mando stuffed the grenade into the Zabrak's mouth and spartan kicked him back into the room with the other guards. Laren shut the door and dove to the ground in case the door blew off.

The explosion occured and knocked a whole in the building. Fire building slowly. Laren took a quick scan of the room after reaching his feet, and found some loose credits, and some valuable gems. After placing it all in his satchel he began to move on to the next floor. Surely the area of the explosion caused some faults in the stability of the building. Laren wondered how the other would fair after his actions.

“Relax, vod,” Cas had commed back toward Rakiss about making him look bad. “We are the greatest warriors in the galaxy. And we don’t need jetpacks to prove it.”

A moment later and she was trying to slip through a window. Cas had to be stealthy about this and had no reason to be otherwise. Her two compatriots were making the noise above and below, taking on the heat and distracting enough hostiles to where she could grab and bag their bounty without getting caught.

‘Caught’, however, is exactly what one Rakiss Vano had become. The only female in the threesome heard the whines and moans over the open com as she continued onward, hiding behind this wall, sneaking behind that foe, ducking into that room and distracting this guard.

All in all Cas was not going to retell the story she had heard over her helmet’s comlink. Not yet, anyway. Will save it for another game of shots. Laren had enjoyed the last one. So had Cas. Rakiss, however, had yet to play. And what better way to have a threesome?

“Just keep it up, Rakiss. As long as you keep them away from me then you just might get a kiss.”

Right now those words were all he would get. For now, Cas was hiding behind a potted plant; makeshift cover, no doubt, but it was the closest thing to an emergency and its red and yellow leaves did kind of blend with her own armor so hey.

A few guards rushed by, oblivious, yelling something about the explosion everyone felt and how there were two Mandalorians raiding the building from top and bottom. ‘Two.’ Cas grinned. She had heard enough.

She let the guards rush onward, thanked her bundle of nature, rounded the corner into a corridor and stood face to face with a lone guard. He looked left, looked right, struggled whether to raise comlink or blaster. Cas decided for him.

Her fist knocked the comlink from his hand and her other snatched his barrel just as he lifted it. A quick kick to his knee sent him to both knees before her free hand found his throat. “Gayazo Juzatt. What room?”

“R-R-Room 512!” There were no lies in his eyes. Just fear.

“Thank you.” Cas squeezed his throat and those eyes closed over. Then she relayed her status to her two companions and marched onward.

Rakiss didn’t hear a reply from Laren, good that he kept his bought to himself. After Cas had spoke however, he paused in the middle of the hall way and proceeded to think about what she said.

At this moment anyone who could see his face beneath that helmet of his would see it blank but red.... very red. Rakiss had never been one experienced with talk like that wether joking or not. In terms of that he was stiff and stood like a statue. A few moments go by and another pair of guards come out of a room ahead, seeing Rakiss now they call out to him.

“Hey! Who are you?!” They said as they came closer and closer, Rakiss still stood still spaced out in a way, as they finally came closer to the point they could touch him. Both their words not making it to Rakiss, who snapped out of it as he saw a hand come to grab him. In almost an instant slapping the hand away and kicking the other guard on the chest. Pulling his blaster to the first one and unloading blaster fire into his chest at point blank range.

Now looking to the one on the floor, trying to use his communicator to get more help, but for him it couldn’t come soon enough. Rakiss let him finish his rant for assistance then kicked the communicator out of his hand. The man looked scared, unable to move, Rakiss tilted his head slightly. Not a word was said from him, the guard began to beg but Rakiss gave a quick kick to his head to shut him up then stomping down to finish the job. Rakiss looked around for anyone else, then talking to himself.

“Now that’s out of my system, I’ll keep clearing till I find the.... others.” Rakiss paused and looked to his belt, charges were set on it and soon the idea hit him. Placing a few on the floor he was on. “I’ll keep this for later, placing these in the right place would make I seem like a big accident. As well as it gives me something else to do.” Then he continues on, waiting to see what else he would uncover.

Laren was on his way up the next flight of stairs when he heard his brother speak of wanting Laren to deal with the brute he was dealing with. Then about how there should 30, and he was untouched. Laren couldn't help but laugh at the thought. This time his brother is trying to make up stories to sound impressive. How sad, Laren was sure it was only a hand full. So Laren decided he was going to reply to his brother's comment a little late.

"Now you are wanting to make up honorable stories? Be honest with your accomplishments brother, it's not honorable to lie."

Then the slightly younger Mando had made it to the next floor. There was damage on the other side of the building thanks to his nade. Doors were open as thugs were looking at the damage wondering what happened. Unbeknownst to them that the Mandalorian had his blaster drawn and aimed down wind.

"Sorry boys, it's time take a forever nap."

Laren began blasting to his pleasure. Laughter filled the halls as Laren was dropping thugs left and right. The Mando was moving down the hall to clear every last thug when one grabbed him from behind. Laren didn't fight at first, no. He simply kept firing at the other guards while he used his left hand to pull out his saber and pressed the emiter on the mans body behind him, then he ignited the blade. After the man felt the heat of the blade enter his body, he dropped. With the sbaer still ignited the man was split in two.

Laren retracted the blade and set it back on his belt. The halls were clear, as well as the rooms. This barely a challenge for the beast of a man. He had made it to the next flight of stairs as he was om his way up to meet the rest of the crew.

(Sorry, I'm havin' a lot of trouble keeping up with things these days. I'll just say finish the mission without me just so I don't stall up your credits and big cats)

Vako waited outside by the speeder. The traffic over the coms was such that there was certainly fighting going on inside, but not such that it sounded like the defenders had even a prayer. There was no sound over the police alarms either which gave Vako every confidence that they were in fact completing the mission exactly as requested. In the end Vako was probably coming out the furthest ahead given this headache was being taken care of, but that said it was still a good place to be sitting with new Mandalorian friends.
