Taris: Sith Champion Onasi
The Kel Dorian Sith that goes by 'Onasi' had been spotted on Taris in violation with The Expulsion Order. ISB confirmed that he did not pledge his loyalty to the Empire nor turned in his lightsaber. He is rumored to be hiding in the large sewer network of the city-world in an attempt to take control of local gangs and challenge the Imperial authority over the planet. Take him out. No need for an arrest.
Participants: @Levik Karn and @Grin

Lieutenant Karn held his rifle loosely in his hands as he looked down upon a bruised rodian that was handcuffed and beaten down on his knees. "Where did you see him?" the lieutenant asked through the newly tagged helmet of his Imperial Peacekeer uniform. The alley that lead to this particular sewer entry was crowded with other peacekeeper officers that were under Levik's command. A few aliens lay dead, scorchmarks on their torso, and multiple facial fractures. Lieutenant Karn wasn't holding back to eviscerate the gangs that seemed to be under the sway of the Kel Dorian Sith Champion. These gangs had also been at odds with the Freem Gotra, so taking them out was helping a friend and that was an added bonus to an already promising mission.

The rodian whimpered, one of his antennae had been broken -on purpose- but he couldn't reach it due to the handcuffs. "Onasi in Frumping Musks headquarters inside sewer," he cried, giving Levik and his men the information they needed. "Load the last known location of the Frumping Musks headquarters into your personav-" he ordered as he did the same. Luckily Taris ISB kept tabs on all the sewer gangs and the last known location of their main spots. "-once Lieutenant Grin shows up with reinforcements we'll move in."

Back when the Empire was still the Sith Empire, Grin thought peacekeeping missions were usually the most boring ones he could get. No conquest, no big battle, just making sure people within the empire fell in line, which was often not difficult because of the ruthlessness against desserters, traitors and criminals...Which meant the only fun part about it was watching the bodies drop.

Now, however? Well, sith were on the menu and the Verminion couldn't help but be excited at the prospect of hunting down the assholes that thought themselves better than all of them and had treated him and his compatriots like garbage on more than one occasion, hell, he felt giddy about today's mission.

As an imperial foreign legion squad led by a Verminion, it was no wonder that Grin had been chosen to help the Peacekeepers in an operation that involved getting a sewer network, a dank, dark and disgusting place...It would feel just like home to him and it would allow for some close quarter combat action, it was an ideal place for him...Save for the shit, he would need to be careful about that one.

Grin would arrive at the scene, wearing his usual armor and carrying his usual weapons, most of them not issued by the Empire military as they would expect. His unit, comprised of only aliens of many types, which included things such as a couple other Verminions, a Weequay and a Wookiee, it looked more like a mercenary group rather than an Imperial one...Save for the Imperial Foreign Legion insignia.

"I see you've got the party started already" He would say, letting out one of his terrifying smiles as he looked at the handcuffed Rodian, which would look away as he recoiled in fear as a result...Not even a minute in and Grin had already witnessed a great amount of violence done by the peacekeepers in the time it took him to get here, they would get along. "Grin reporting for duty, you must be Levik."

"Grozztatha, go ahead"
The Wookiee was carrying a crate with her, which she then opened and showed to the lieutenant and his troops, it had filter masks in it...why? Because that same Wookiee was also carrying a flame projector "Doubt its flames will extend enough to the point it'll be needed in the sewers, but just in case" The Verminion explained before taking out his scatterblaster and looking at the entrance "Let's get goin' then, shall we?"

Interesting. Levik had read Lieutenant Grin's file. Imperial Foreign Legion, Verminion. Noted proclivity towards extreme violence and impulsivity. In other words; he was a Sith without the Force powers. The perfect one to blame an evisceration on while keeping your hands somewhat clean. "Good you're here, Lieutenant Grin," Levik said as he attached one of the filters to his helmet and stepped away from the crate the let his men do the same. "You and your men take point. In these sewers everyone can be regarded as an enemy to the Empire," he handed the Verminion a personav with the pre-loaded coordinated of the Frumping Musk headquarters.

Added bonus was that if there would be casualties to the Imperial side, then most of them would be aliens from the Imperial foreign legion. This was the way the Empire worked and no doubt Grin -being a Lieutenant- would understand it.

"Peacekeepers form up. We're here to cover the foreign legion's rear." some of his men notably relaxed a bit. Not everyone was eager to hunt down and face a Sith Champion in the sewers, but as always the foreign legion's reputation had preceded them and having them go against the Sith, either killing it or tiring it out as fodder, meant the chances of survival for every peacekeeper had significantly increased.

By now, Asher was becoming rather accustomed to Sith-hunting expeditions. Since Atheir expulsion from the Empire, rogue members of the Order had lingered to cause havoc acros Imperial territory - from tormenting civilians to entrenching themselves amongst the local criminals on different planets, clinging to their lost influence. It had become somewhat routine to root out such malign actors, and the Lieutenant didn’t expect that his mission to Taris would be much different from the half-dozen that had come before.

Equipped in his crisp Imperial uniform, Asher began to make his way down from his shuttle - tailed by members of his platoon. His dark hair was combed neatly into place, while the scent of earth cologne hung in the air around him. A rifle was strapped across his back, alongside his usual loadout distributed in his utility belt.

As he approached the men assembled, Asher nodded his head towards the fellow Imperial leading the expedition. “Lieutenant Teric,” He said in introduction, gesturing for the rest of his platoon to take up position amongst the other Peacekeepers. They’d all overheard the previous orders, even if only just arriving on the scene.

Asher himself moved into position beside Karn, glancing over to regard the Imperial. “Ready to move out on your signal.”

When reinforcements arrived, Levik was reminded at how serious the New Empire took the warmaster's expulsion order. Another peacekeeper platoon to bolster Levik's own forces while the foreign legion took the brunt. It meant the Empire didn't take any chances to eradicate the Sith that didn't comply to the ultimatums to leave its planets immediately.

As the only local, Levik wasn't about to relinquish overal command though. This was his shot to become a commander, after all. "Lieutenant Karn," he paused before pointing towards the foreign legion's lieutenant, "That's Lieutenant Grin, foreign legion. They'll lead, we'll follow."

As if on cue the foreign legion breached the sewer entrance and headed in. Lieutenant Karn then signaled his men to ignite their headlights, took his rifle to his shoulder and stepped into the reeking -yet very familiar- Taris sewer system. With the numbers they were showing up in today, which were unprecedented in terms of Imperial presence in the sewers, they could've simply eradicated all sewer-based gangs on the planet. There'd be casualties, sure, but no less than when facing someone adept at using the Force.

Minutes passed as they navigated the sewer pipelines and followed their personavs towards the Frumping Musks headquarters. With every step the foreign legionnaires seemed to be more hyped up as they got closer and closer to their shallow desire to massacre and wreak havoc amongst the gangsters and to face off their talents for destruction against the talents of a Sith Champion.

When they rounded the last corner, Lieutenant Karn turned towards Lieutenant Teric. "Let them take the brunt of it. That's their job." he reminded the other peacekeeper of the foreign legion's role; to die for the Empire.

Despite having been on Taris before, Kalique hadn't had the pleasure of venturing into the sewers yet. Obviously, it immediately reminded her of her mission with the Imperial Warmaster on Raxus and maybe she even found dealing with the infamous odor a little easier this time. It was still an experience everything but pleasant, but she wasn't even grimacing as she marched on, adorned in her uniform and the lightsabers clipped to her belt.

Following three platoons and their Lieutenants into the sewers, Kalique watched her step as she kept going, hundreds of footsteps echoing through the reeking pipes until the Lieutenants came to a halt. While Lt. Karn had ordered the foreign legion to take the lead, the other two Lieutenants were waiting for their time to spring into action and so was Kalique, as she was hear as support against the Force sensitive scum who still called himself 'Sith'.

"Lieutenant Teric, Lieutenant Karn, I'll await your command. I can't sense him yet, but I assume he's hiding behind all the gang members". If he was masking his presence, she'd still find him soon enough, for as a Sith, he was probably so pressed on his own survival that he wasn't going to risk engaging the platoons just like that.

The Foreign Legion placed the breaching charges and stepped back, looking at their lieutenant for the order. Lieutenant Karn used this moment to motion for the Imperial knight to come over. "You, knight-" the disdain in his voice was clear, for according to Levik any former Sith was still a Sith in his book. Them wasting lives to kill one, just so they can let another wear an Imperial uniform? Hardly made any sense at all. "-you take the one with the red lightsaber. His name is Onasi. He's Kel Dorian, so shouldn't be hard to spot among the Frumping Musks as they're mainly rodians."

He had barely said it when an explosion shook the sewer system and the foreign legionnaires roared and charged into the gang headquarters with the zeal of mindless zealots. "Peacekeepers on me," Lieutenant Karn ordered as he shouldered his rifle and headed for the entrance.

Inside the battle was raging. The rodians had placed defensive barricades around their sewer-based hideout and overheated their poorer design blasters at the foreign legion. Many of the hired Imperials had already died, but not before breaking multiple of the barricades in the process. They were crude and ill-trained, but expendable. It wasn't until almost all of the foreign legion had perished and Levik was just stepped through the breached doors that a red lightsaber ignited. "Without the Sith-" a mechanized voice rose over the chaotic battle, "-the EMPIRE IS NOTHING!" the Kel Dor Sith swatted away blasterfire and decapitated a legionnaire before spotting Levik, who, in turn, stepped aside to offer the opportunity for the Imperial Knight to enter. "Get him!"

Kalique respected the Imperials and absolutely knew her place, however, immediately getting confronted with a hint of disdain in the first Lieutenant's voice was nothing she appreciated. Obviously, she was neither going to bring it up nor even let her slight internal discontent slide through otherwise, so the perfectly controlled features just nodded behind the visor.

"Yes, Sir" she confirmed verbally, gaze shifting back to the front while one thing still lingered on her mind. Why was he still in possession of his lightsaber? Apparently, the subject hadn't been part of the great embarrassment of Junction, but it didn't matter much. She was versed in lightsaber combat and excellent with the Force. Letting one lightsaber snap into life, she moved in, deflecting the first blaster bolts that where coming at them and hurling them right back at the gang members inside.

Staying alerted with all her senses, she followed deeper inside, supporting the battle that was raging within and proctecting the Imperials wherever she could, until the Champion's presence was finally palpable. Kalique wasn't exactly close to Lieutenant Karn who had already pressed on, but as soon as she first sensed, then heard the Kel'Dor cry out, she was sprinting over, cleanly decapitating another gang member on her way.

There was blood shed all around and their own men fell, but funnily enough, she even seemed to care more then Karn, who was now diving out of the way to avoid the Sith. "Theatrical, are you?" she snapped at the Kel'Dor who had finished his dramatic entrance and was glaring at her lightsaber for a moment. "You forgot about something" she added, referring to the Knights of the New Order and the reason for his imminent death.

Keeping her eyes on the Champion, Kalique feigned breaking into a sprint and rushing over as if to meet him with the lightsaber already, however, as his focus laid on the incoming Knight with the orange Saber, she was reaching out to Force-Pull the trunk on the ground next to him over swiftly, intending to swoop him off his feet before engaging him, or at least to interject an annoying distraction for him for her upcoming next attack.

As the Imperial knight used the Force to pull a trunk against the Kel Dor's legs, Levik watched him not only seeing it coming but also somersaulting over it. The red blade becoming a blur before the Lieutenant having to duck for cover to avoid a blaster shot from a nearby rodian. The battle was too close for proper use of his rifle, so Levik ditched it on the ground and pulled his blaster from his holster. "Provide cover for the knight!" he cried as he rose and aimed his pistol at the Kel Dorian Sith, firing twice before having to duck down again.

Onasi was terrifying as he pulled a rodian from her cover and used her as a living shield from the Imperial barrage of bolts. Perhaps it had been able to provide some distraction for the knight to capitalize on, if it hadn't been for the sudden frag grenade going off in Levik's vicinity. Cries from the wounded echoed through the sewer as several peacekeepers got hit with shrapnel to their arms, legs and even their face. One foreign legionnaire caught a frag grenade straight to the chest and his entire torso all but exploded outwards, covering the immediate area with blood, gore and intestines.

The blaster fire directed at the Sith immediately stopped and that allowed Onasi to toss the rodian's corpse towards the Imperial Knight, after which he charged her with his lightsaber up high.

Dramatic and acrobatic. A fitting combination, but a little frustrating for her to watch. It was fairly obvious that despite not having responded to the new Dark Lord's calling on Junction, Onasi was versed with the Force as well and made it fairly clear as he ruthlessly acquired a meat shield.

Blaster bolts rang all around and Kalique even had to swipe one of his course with the Force, so that her own diverted attention made her lose enough focus for her to not being able to pull the perforated Rodian off her course. The grenades that rang off left a ringing in her ears as the confined space made each and every explosion rang all around, so that not even the helmet offered enough protection from all the noise.

The fight was raging on chaotically, but after having received the lifeless Rodian's corpse, Kalique's full focus was back on Onasi, so that after carelessly tossing the body to the side, she was ready to meet his Saber from above. Orange collides with red, sending sparks of fizzling energy overhead.

He was strong, but she could push against it, not allowing him to press down much further before she Force pushed him off to gain some distance and to offer the Imperials another chance at shooting him. "Again!" her voice bellowed, specifically directed at Karn who was in charge and in command, but the opening wasn't wide as the Sith already had another foul maneuver ready.

Conjuring a Sith lighting, Kalique was immediately forced to parry it with her lightsaber while the Kel'Dor manically laughed, right before he reached out with the Force again, but this time, his victim was the Lieutenant himself. Roughly yanking him out from behind his cover, he'd be dragged across the floor as invisible tendrils were wrapped around his throat, the Sith seemingly wanting another living shield to protect himself from Kalique's lightsaber, but the Knight had a different idea of her own.

Eyes narrowed, before Levik would be within rage, Kalique's left hand moved to command the Force, catching a blaster bolt mid-air and redirecting it at the Sith, hurling it right through his own outstretched hand in an attempt to pierce it, so that his distraction would be broken immediately. The Lieutenant would collapse to the ground, and Kalique would purposely push him back with the Force again, so that he could return to safety before she readily awaited the Sith's next attempt.

Levik was still ducked down, trying to prevent the rodians of landing a good shot at him when suddenly he felt his grip falter as he shoes slid across the sewer floor and his kneepads scrape. Before he realized what was happening he was launched into the air, soaring towards the Sith and the Imperial knight while the Frumping Musk rodians took their chance.

One of them hit their mark and shot Levik just underneath his ribcage where he wasn't protected by the durasteel armorplate. Pain soured through him as he cried out in pain. "Cover the lieutenant!" sergeant Sanders shouted as he and several of Levik's men rose from cover to lay down suppressing fire. Shortly afterwards Kalique succeeded in breaking the Sith's focus and Levik fell down into the sewer's muck, barely able to move his body and dropping his pistol in favor of the extra hand trying desperately to grasp at something that would allow him to pull himself into relative cover from both the rodians as the Sith. Then the knight Force pushed him further back through the muck to make sure he was safe from blasterfire, but at the same time a wave of muck caused his helmet to fill up and he slipped as he again tried to grasp at anything he could.

He found it in a latch joining two sections of pipe and pulled himself up with all his remaining strength. "Lieutenant Teric," he breathed heavily, referring to the other peacekeeper lieutenant that was to be his second in command, "you have-" he groaned as a jolt of pain restricted his breathing, "-command."

Meanwhile the new barrage of bolts coming towards the Frumping Musk's was about to break their will. They never harbored to Sith out of free will, after all, and right now their entire gang was being wiped out by the Imperials, their hideout destroyed and their wealth evaporated all around them. It was a nightmare for them, but they had no way out and no quarter was being given.

The pained screams and roars were getting less all around while the blaster fire was also dying down slowly, Kalique still had her full focus on the Sith. There was death and agony all around and while the gang was the side with the most severe losses, there were still many brave Imperial soldiers dying all around.

While it made Kalique angry, the damn Sith was drawing from it, uncontrollably diving right into and thus actually becoming more powerful with every second, but this wasn't over at all. With the Lieutenant out of the way, the two Force users were now finally engaged in a heated lightsaber combat, switching positions too swiftly to allow the Imperials to get a proper opening.

While Onasi was putting it all on brute strength and agility, Kalique kept minding the technique, thus dancing around him and parrying blows rather defensively as she was waiting for the right moment to strike, but both were draining their stamina. "Traitor, fucking die already!", he spat furiously inbetween, following up with another ferocious blow before simultaneously force pushing her backwards.

With her heels dogging through the muck, Kalique came to an abrupt halt, however the enraged Sith had now already coiled the Force around her neck, squeezing unrelentlessly while a shrill, triumphant laughter escaped him once again, however leaving his defense open and allowing an Imperial to shoot him right in the shoulder.

Screeching, his focus was broken once again, which however allowed a gasping Kalique throwing her lightsaber in an unstoppable, deadly ring of orange, that this time, hit the Champion unprepared with the guidance of the Force she mustered with last strength and sliced right through his left side. Falling forward to her own knees, Kalique closed her fingers back to a fist, thus calling the Saber back and pulling it right through the half bisected Sith again, who was then engulfed in a wild barrage of bolts that finished him off.

With blood stained eyes, Kalique pushed herself up and summoned her lightsaber, knowing there were still a few left that needed to be dealt withnd despite already staggering from exhaustion, she did her best to help finishing with the few who were left, rather scared and hopeless now. "Where is the Lieutenant? He needs medical attention right away" she called through the chaos, coughing. The muck inside his armor, if left untreated, would cause an infection, but at least it began to seem like they were close to finishing up.

The clasp was difficult to undo, but finally Levik was able to pull off his helmet and breathe somewhat normally before two peacekeepers dragged him to safety. "The knight killed him, Lieutenant," he heard one of them say, "you're safe." his vision went blurry for a moment until a medic pricked him with was seemed to be some sort of injector and suddenly his focus returned and he watched how a compressed-air stray flushed the muck from his wound before a bacta patch was placed neatly over it.

"Thanks, doc-" Levik muttered as his men helped him back to his feet. Behind him through the doors of the Frumping Musk Headquarters the last couple of blaster shots were intermixed with boasts of glory and shouts of joy. They had done it, apparently, but as the lieutenant looked inside he couldn't ignore the amount of bodies. Foreign Legionnaires mostly, but here and there a peacekeeper from either his own or his Lieutenant Teric's unit. "Kriffing Sith." He wouldn't admit that a more solid assault plan could've spared a lot of lives today. Not now there objective was complete and he, supported by sergeant Sanders, approached the Imperial Knight. She looked exhausted, but in a way that made her look even more heroic.

"Onasi's lightsaber is Imperial property," he told a nearby peacekeeper who immediately began searching for it among the double bi-sected corpse of the Kel Dorian. For a second Levik closed his eyes to better withstand the pain he felt, but when he opened them again he looked at the Imperial Knight. "Thanks for your assistence, Knight Demici." he paused as he let go of sergeant Sanders and motioned for him to let go of him. That he was alright enough to stand. "You're from Serenno, aren't you?"

With the commotion dying down, there seemed to be a little more order in the chaos, but as drained as Kalique was, she was more than glad that it finally did. Dead bodies were pilling on the ground, the smell of muck mingles with freshly spiller blood and smoke, resulting in a truly terrible combination that even through the filter of the helmet was turning into an unbearable stench.

De facto, the first men were already wreching. There were wounded all around and still twitching bodies and thanks to the strain, she was starting to feel a little dizzy, which made her nauseous. Still, this wasn't over. The few gang members who remembered began to realize that they wouldn't win, and a few lowered their weapons and yielded, but as the first Imperials resumed shooting, Kalique remained at the side lines, messing with the bolts coming from the few remainders, until there was nothing but silence.

A triumphant roar followed, filling the room with a totally different aura and she knew the cleansing now began. Those that were still alive and not on the brink of death were carried out by the first medics that rushed in while Kalique removed the helmet and took a breath, ignoring the terrible stench.

A few moments later, she was already approached by Lieutenant Karn, who admittedly didn't look too well, yet still somewhat stable. "Of course. I live to serve the Empire" she dutifully replied, a slight frown following as she watched him seemingly almost black out for a moment. "I am indeed. My family has a long history on Serenno". Her name was rather known for those familiar with Serenno's nobility. "No offense at all, Sir, but maybe it would be better to get you to the fresh air. May I assist you out?". She wasn't going to push it either, but as his worked seemed relatively done, it was probably better for him to leave this shit hole behind while the rest cleaned the mess, so she offered an arm. She wasn't well of either, but would easily make it out before needing some actual rest.

A slight smile crept on Levik's muck and sweat-stained face. "No offense taken, House of Demici," he said as he allowed her to support him in turning around on the slippery sewer floor. He didn't exactly have that much experience with nobles from Serenno, but he did remember a fellow peacekeeper serving on Taris about four years back. Cavalas Onn. A sour copper, that man, face like a weequay, but well-mannered with a very fine taste in wine and cognac. He was killed by Sith -believe it or not- or rather one of their power-hungry invasions.

Sergeant Sanders came back to walk alongside them for a moment as they were headed out of the Frumping Musk Headquarters, but Levik waved him off. "Take care of the dead and wounded. Then shower-" the waving motion didn't do well to the burned flesh underneath his tunic and he grimaced for a second, grasping the Imperial knight a little tighter, "-reports first thing tomorrow."

It took him a few more steps towards the sewer entrance to make the pain subside, but then the smile returned, making his teeth seem whiter as they were due to the muck around it. For a moment, though perhaps merely because she had saved his life, he didn't see her as a Sith who merely turned traitor to her own Order at the first opportunity of betrayal that presented itself, but as what she perhaps thought she was; merely a noble of Serenno fighting for her planet regardless of who ruled it. The Force was just such a wicked thing and its users so.. cruel. Was she like this as well?

"I read your file," he admitted, as he did with all Imperial Knights he worked with, "Ord Radama eh? I hear an old buddy of mine teaches there," he paused, trying to gauge whether or not she was even interested in this trivial piece of information if only to help him keep his mind of his own wounds and the men whose families he would have to visit tomorrow. "Caspon Greef? Best dogfighter the Eriadu navy had a decade ago. Probably still flies circles around cadets."

"G
She was actually glad that he accepted her suggestion, and she immediately stemmed him with her shoulder, guiding him out carefully while summoning her own last strength. A soft smirk tugged at the corners of her lips as he mentioned her house, already realizing that he was probably engaging in conversations to forget about the pain.

As he mentioned the showers to his sergeant, she was realizing that they were also caked with all the muck and she couldn't wait to get out of her armor, but a shower still had to wait. "What did the medics say? Will bacta suffice or will this be something a little more complicated?" she wanted to know, both, out of courtesy and curiosity, but hoping he'd quickly recover from that.

A few moments later, they reached Taris' surface again, allowing them to breath fresh air instead of the dreadful smell inside. She took a few deep breath while still stabilizing Lieutenant Karn who had just digged tightly into the uniform a few seconds earlier, which drew another, now actually concerned frown from the exhausted Knight.

He had read his file? Well, as ISB obviously, but then he was already aware that Kalique was not a regular Sith that had switched when the chance had presented itself, but a woman dedicated to the military, but obviously trained with the Force and the lightsaber. While had he talked to her like that earlier then? Well some people simply didn't like Force sensitives, even if they saved their ass, but Karn was at least seemingly warming up. "Greef?! No way...he was the one that taught me the basics of flying back then. I remebered how he made me do a 360 with a ship without having felt ready...but I did surprisingly well and he just laughed in the background, telling me that it's rare that a cadet just tries the maneuver. Most had just chickened out from the sheer thought of it, apparently" she replied, a genuine smirk now crossing her lips. "If you don't mind me asking, where did you graduate?". He mentioned something about Eriadu, but maybe he'd been around a little.

"Heh, sounds like Caspon," Levik chuckled as they reached the fresh air of the alley that had been their entry point into the sewers. Here multiple Imperial transport speeders -both medical and law enforcement- were parked with a hustle of personnel running to and from the entrance the pair was slowly walking out of. One of the medics rushed over -a bit uncertain due to the stench- and held a device against Levik's neck, "Vitals fine, bacta patch applied, do any of these puncture through?" she pointed at the little shards of shrapnel stuck in the durasteel breastplace, to which the lieutenant shook his head. "Don't think so, didn't even notice them until now." Which he knew could also be the shock, the hyperfocus on other injuries or the yet to subside spike of adrenaline. "Carry on, Lieutenant. Take troop transport to the medbay with the other lightly wounded." and then the medic continued to hurry inside, leaving the pair standing there, perhaps a tad awkwardly.

"Oh, right," Levik slowly let go of Kalique as he turned her way, "Eriadu Naval Academy. I was trained for anti-piracy actions aboard a frigate", but when the Sith Brotherhood -the precursor of the Empire- took control of the planet with help of the Zaa Fenn Crime Family (who had removed any factors in government that were opposed to their new rulers), Levik had simple served as an officer in the new Warlord-structure until the formation of the Empire. A lot had happened since he was a youngster beaming at his parents during his graduation ceremony. Many years had passed. "Got assigned to the Imperial Security Bureau about a decade ago."

His gaze shifted from the Imperial Knight to the transport of wounded and then back, "You didn't come with your own speeder, by any chance?" He didn't like sitting with men whose injuries he was responsible for, "Care to escort me a bit further, to the barracks instead?"

After the quick assessment of the medic and having giving her nothing but a curt nod as an answer after her scrutinizing gaze had drifted to the Knight, the first transport were being boarded in the background. Kalique's injuries were nothing that needed medical attention as her armor and the Force had spared her of most wounds, yet she would need time to regain strength later on and a little pause was soon to be needed desperately.

She then listened to his explanation, finding it rather interesting that he had started specializing in piracy and now found himself in a totally different area. "Oh I see. So you've also been in the business since you were merely a child", this was something they actually shared. Despite her childhood on Serenno, Kalique had never not been with the Empire. Another thing they shared was that hunting down Sith who had remained on their territory had become the usual business, but obviously they found themselves in different positions here.

"I did, actually" she was pretty sure he had posed this question as a rhetorical one, because as a Knight, she often joined in on her own, regrouping with the platoons and reporting to the Lieutenants separately, "Of course I can take you, Lieutenant" she added, despite the dutiful nature of the answer, his request had drawn a little smirk from her.

It was fairly obvious that he didn't want to stay and wait to be shipped off with the injured soldiers and she wasn't going to deny this relatable wish, and she didn't mind taking the detour as she would freshen up at the barracks as well. "I just hope your vitals don't drop and you collapse on me...I'm no trained medic and my medical knowledge is rather restricted to basic training". First aid was no big deal, but it sounded like as stable as he was, he'd safely make it to the barracks anyway and so no complications were expected.

She gestured in the rough direction, having parked a few streets north and immediately offered support again. In case he accepted, she'd stabilize him from the side again, otherwise she'd watch him carefully and stay attentive in case he was threatening to stagger. Her dizziness had been replaced by a headache and strong fatigue by now, but there was still enough strength left to make it to the safety of the vehicle. Still, she was relieved after reaching the speeder car and being able to sit down after having helped the Lieutenant inside. "Will you stay on Taris for now, Sir?", she curiously asked him before turning the key around and starting the engine, her green eyes flicking over before she set the speeder into motion.

Grateful for the knight's continued assistence, Levik managed to get to the speeder without too much support. Unfortunately the adrenaline was definitely wearing off now and the pain now mixed with the stink of the sewers, the latter being a bit more evident in the confined space of the speeder. "I live here," he answered her as he push the button to open the window on the passenger side, "Been a Taris peacekeeper since 147 ABY." Almost a decade ago, too. He had only been a peacekeeper for two years before getting stationed on Taris.

His life had been defined by duty. Joining the Naval Academy at 18, graduating and then barely a year later being reassigned to support troop movements during the early Invasions by the Sith. No wonder the stress, guilt and chaos caused him to have some issues with authority, resulting in his eventual redelegation to the Imperial Security Bureau. Taris was overcrowded with many different sentient species and the sewers provided a perfect hideout for gangs. Enough work for law enforcement and a good place to send the peacekeepers who didn't seem too hyped about the Sith Warlords in charge. Let them enforce Imperial law in the stench of the sewers, was a well-known milder form of motivating complacent peacekeepers.

"Wouldn't have it any other way, too-" he grinned as he turned his head to look at her. In the last couple of years he had created a nice little side-business for himself selling old Imperial technology on the black market. The Expulsion Order, while dangerous, also provided a unique opportunity to sell kyber crystals, bled lightsabers and other Sith artefacts on the black market. "-but what about you? You staying?"

It wasn't far to the barracks and with the proper authorization codes -which they had- they could fly in, bypass the enlisted barracks and park close to the officer's quarters. These were more spacious with private rooms and bathrooms en suite. Imperial Knights weren't usually give that luxury, but with Levik as company they would be able to work something out just fine. Worst case they'd take turns washing up in his quarters.

On their short drive, Kalique's eyes kept scanning the environment and assessing the life that took place all around them. Taris was surely an interesting city, yet big cities never thrilled her that much as they usually meant plenty of work. "Oh?", once again, the Knight's head turned over to look at him for a moment before her attention was back on the street.

"So you must know the city well. No wonder they had put you in charge". It was always good if the Commanders and Lieutenants were familiar with the surroundings and obviously, as a citizen, you had countless advantages. "So I take it you've even been in contact with the gang and the sewers before?". Knights were not known for having an actual set station and while she liked the varierty of being here and there every now and then, she wondered whether he ever got bored.

Taris surely offered enough work and Lieutenants were also sent through the whole galaxy, but she assumed he had spent plenty of time on the planet so far. Also, his grin at the end proved that he didn't find it too bad, so that she adressed his question with a grin of her own. "Probably just for a few days, waiting for my next orders. I'm usually around a lot as there's always some business to attend to, but they might offer me at least one day to recover".

Despite the open windows, the muck that caked their uniforms still spread its terrible scent, making Kalique yearn to change out of it even more. She didn't envy the droids or workers who'd be responsible for cleaning all equipment, gear and armors, but she really couldn't far swapping into a crisp, ironed new attire.

She let the Lieutenant deal with the checkpoints and soon she was already pulling over at the quarters, rushing over to aid the man who was obviously in greater pain than before. She could not only sense but also see the little flinchings that crossed his face, hence she asked where she could take him. "Do you want to shower first or do I take you to the med bay directly?". It was probably his choice, as no medic would just force him inside right away, but before Kalique would let them run a regular post-missiom check up, she was definitely voting for a shower.

The Knight was used to simply getting assigned to a barrack, sharing not only her sleeping space with larger numbers, but the bathrooms as well, but she obviously noticed that they were in front of the much more spacious Officer's quarters, and she wondered whether he had one here as well.
