PERSONALITY
[fancybox2] Many aspects of Okoshti's personality can be attributed to his Togrutan heritage. He hailed from a small tribe and as a result has become a sociable, team-oriented and understanding person. If he has the option, Okoshti will gladly join groups and thrust himself into social situations. While he enjoys alone time every once in a while, he's not one for solitude on a regular and would much rather work with other Jedi on assignments, missions and more mundane tasks as meditation. The combination of his natural sociability and his time with the Jedi has made it easy for him to empathize with others and understand other cultures (especially those that are similar to his own) as he has been exposed to individuals from all over the galaxy.

Some of Okoshti's quirks can also be attributed to him being a Togrutan. He is a nature lover and spends a lot of time outside. He follows the Togrutan tradition of not wearing shoes while outside, and enjoys the feel of nature on his feet. Coming from a hunting tribe, Okoshti likes to catch his own food(he rarely hunts while at a Jedi temple). He also has completed the Akul hunt and wears a necklace of Akul teeth which is one of his most prized possessions. Okoshti follows these more primitive traditions because they are a part of his culture and his culture is very important to him. He was taken into the order at a young age, and didn't know much about his culture growing up. This led to him rediscovering it at an older age and now he cherishes his heritage as much as his life.

Okoshti's heritage has also affected the way he battles. True to the Togrutan culture, Okoshti is tranquil and laid back but when it the situation calls for it he is a tenacious warrior. He exhibits the ferocity characterized by Togrutan warriors and will fight to the death if necessary. This trait has influenced his beliefs as well. He believes that the corruption in the galaxy must be weeded out and that evil must be struck in the heart. This has influenced him to train in a more combative style. Okoshti continues to condition himself to meet the enemy on the battlefield for the sake of the galaxy.

Overall, Okoshti is a free-spirited individual. He adopts a live-and-let-live outlook on life, advocating for everyone to have the right to their own beliefs and doctrines. Okoshti feels like his destiny is to maintain this right throughout the galaxy. He will maintain it peacefully where possible but he won't hesitate to use force on those who try to strip this right away. He will dedicate his life to to this doctrine and will die for it if necessary.

Strengths:

+ Left Handed: Okoshti has a slight advantage against right handed opponents

+ Athletic: Okoshti stays in shape and is in good physical condition

+ Sociable: Okoshti makes friends easily and fits into social situations

Weaknesses:

- Carnivorous: Okoshti is a Togrutan, making him purely carnivorous. Ingesting plant material can make him sick.

- Montrals and lekku: Okoshti's montrals and lekku are sensitive and make a rather large target for enemies to strike at.

- Natural Ferocity: Okoshti has the natural ferocity of his people but must be careful not to let it overwhelm him. He must keep his emotions in check during battle.

Okoshti has above average strength due to his athleticism. He stays in shape in order to maintain his physique and to suit his Makashi lightsaber style.

DEXTERITY ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

While he's no circus acrobat, Okoshti has developed quick footwork due to his Makashi training. He's in enough shape to perform minor parkour but he cannot perform intricate acrobatics without aid from the force.

CONSTITUTION ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti has an slightly above average constitution due to his genetics. He is used to rough environments and can adapt to them (excluding harsh winter environments). He doesn't get sick often but he has a genetic disadvantage as he is purely carnivorous and will get sick from ingesting plant material.

INTELLIGENCE ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti is of average intelligence. He has more street smarts, adapting to different social conditions and situations. This doesn't mean he's lacking an academic education though. He has learned a lot and continues to learn from the vast resources of the Jedi.

WISDOM ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

While Okoshti has been in many situations, he is still relatively inexperienced. He's a newly Knighted Jedi and continues to learn from every situation.

CHARISMA ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti's no senator but he has a natural knack for social situations. He makes friends easily and is blossoming into a diplomat.

TOGRUTI ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti is fluent in his mother tongue, Togruti.

GALACTIC BASIC ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti is a natural hunter and has honed his skills by hunting with his tribe.

TELEKINESIS ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

FORCE SENSE ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti is a natural at using force sense. This is due to his passive echolocation imparted upon him by his montrals. This by no means makes his force sense stronger, it simply makes it easier for him. Also Okoshti uses force sense in a more physical way, sensing the proximity of physical objects more than anything. As he has only had basic training in this skill, he can sense physical entities in a maximum radius of up to 20 feet. This maximum takes intense concentration to maintain as he only has basic training.

ART OF MOVEMENT ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti was taught the basics of this technique as an initiate. He is proficient enough to double his jump height and increase his speed but doing so in a prolonged manner will tax his body heavily.

PILOTING ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti is a decent pilot, able to fly star-fighters and small freighters.

HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

Okoshti has trained in hand-to-hand combat for defensive purposes. He uses hand-to-hand to non-lethal incapacitate threats and targets.

BIOGRAPHY
[fancybox2]Early Life:

Okoshti was born in the wide plains of Shili amidst a tribe of hunter-gatherers. He was discovered to be force sensitive at a young age by the tribe Shaman. It was seen as an omen as he was a male force sensitive child, an uncommon occurrence among Togrutans. Before he was able to mature, he was whisked away and given to the Jedi. The only link to his past being the remnants of his mother tongue that stuck with him. He was raised at the Jedi temple on Tython, where he was trained in the way of the Jedi. The Tython Temple was Okoshti's home, but growing up he always felt disconnected from his fellow Jedi.

This sense of disconnection stemmed from his unique biology. He was from a more exotic race of people and his Togrutan features only made him stand out. There weren't many Togruta Jedi, and even less Togruta Male Jedi. Okoshti began to develop insecurities about who he was and became more reclusive. In spite of his insecurities, he was curious about his past. In his spare time, Okoshti would soak up any information about his origins. He was able to learn a lot about his race and his home-world of Shili. He gained a thirst for knowledge that would bolster his training. His studies went increasingly well, and he became a gifted youngling.

At the age of twelve, he was ready for his Padawan Trial. The first step was the crystal caves on Ilum. His goal was to delve into the cave system and let the force guide him to his lightsaber crystal. The feat was not simple but he had been well trained. He traveled alone into the caves, gawking at their wonder. Crystals of all colors were sprinkled throughout the layers of ice and frozen stalactites. He roamed the frosty caverns, allowing the will of the force to guide his feet. He seemed to take a thousand steps before finally resting in what appeared to be a crystal-less dead end. He could not see his crystal but he could feel it. He trusted the force and reached out, ushering it's power to him. The ice in front of him began to crack and split as he extracted his crystal with a telekinetic pull. A forest green shard manifested itself from the wall and rested in Okoshti's hand. It felt unaltered by the chill and held a strange warmth. Okoshti clutched his crystal in triumph; his trial was over.

His next step was the construction of his lightsaber. With the guidance of older Jedi, Okoshti was able to procure the necessary materials. He chose durasteel for the hilt and took inspiration from Togrutan Jedi of the past. Intense meditation ensued as he constructed his saber. By the will of the force, all of the pieces fell into alignment around the crystal. Okoshti delicately ushered the pieces together, bonding them. After hours of mental concentration, Okoshti completed his lightsaber. He now brandished a weapon that was connected to him; one that he could use to serve the light side of the force.

Padawan Days:

After becoming a Padawan he was assigned to study under Ishi Tib Jedi Knight, Qaalk Siff. Master Siff was a quiet and slow old man, preferring to take as much time as possible for any task. Okoshti, being the restless ball of energy he was, loathed this as Master Siff would pick the most mundane tasks for him to complete. Okoshti had heard of the legends of the past; the great Jedi who purged the galaxy of evil and wrongdoing. He wanted to be like them and he felt that complacency was assurance that he would never reach their fame. Little did he know, he had a valuable lesson to learn from Master Siff.

Master Siff was sloth, but his regiment was not. Okoshti was put under a stern regiment of meditation and study. He had to meditate four hours a day and study another six. The regiment was drawn out over the course of a couple months and Master Siff would use up an entire week for one lesson. Slowly, Master Siff began to teach Okoshti to utilize his innate force abilities. On his off time, Okoshti would practice his dueling and decided to train in Makashi. On the days he didn't have lightsaber training, Okoshti would absorb as much knowledge as he could about his home-world of Shili. Shili went from a fascination to a dream. The culture, the people, the landscape; Okoshti longed for them all. He knew that they would one day be a part of his life.

Okoshti's time under Mast Siff lasted two years. Over it's duration, Okoshti became both accustomed to the regiment and increasingly annoyed by it. Okoshti was eager to combat the evils of the galaxy. Master Siff seemed eager to do nothing about it. He even planned on retiring and Okoshti was to be assigned a new mentor. Okoshti could only stand a couple more months of the regiment and in their last few months together, He confronted Master Siff about the slow training. He complained at the lack of new concepts and the large amounts of time spent on the same lesson. Master Siff showed Okoshti the error of his ways, explaining his rationale. They had spent so long on the same concepts so that they became second nature to Okoshti, and so that he had a thorough understanding of them. Through meditation and practice, Master Siff was able to help Okoshti find his innate affinity for Force Sense. The long lessons had allowed Okoshti to grow, experiment and practice with the force. While Master Siff didn't teach Okoshti much in the ways of combat, he built a strong foundation in the ways of the force for Okoshti to build upon.

Master Siff's slow-and-steady style of teaching taught Okoshti a valuable lesson in patience. In their last few weeks together, they meditated and studied even more. They had grown accustomed to each other's presence and it was hard to say goodbye. In spite of their separation, they remained good friends. After Master Siff's retirement, Okoshti was assigned to fellow Togruta, Jedi Knight Aratah Naan.

Jedi Trials:

Under Master Naan, Okoshti was able to focus on more martial abilities. She trained him in Makashi, helping him develop into a duelist. They practiced every day, until his form was spot-on. The Makashi footwork became second nature to him as she transformed him into a good duelist. She also built upon his force abilities, teaching him the Art of Movement and expanding his telekinetic abilities. Her training regiment was tough, but the physical practice was a welcome change for Okoshti. His goal was to become a warrior, to fight for justice and to weed out evil. Master Naan was training him for that purpose and the first step was to become a Jedi Knight.

Jedi training was not the only thing Master Naan taught Okoshti. By his request, she taught him about Shili and reintroduced him to their mother tongue, Togruti. The language was familiar to him and came easily. After a couple weeks, they were exclusively communicating with each other in Togruti. Their training continued for years; Martial training in the mornings, force training in the evenings and studying in the spare time. Okoshti familiarized himself with Master Naan's style of teaching over the years, and soon his mind and body grew accustomed.

Okoshti's Jedi Trial wasn't the traditional Nine-Steps. Instead, his task was to face his inner turmoils by traversing the labyrinth at the Jedi Temple on Lothal. He would need inner peace to pass the trial and make it out of the labyrinth alive. The trial started off smooth as Okoshti had already conquered his lesser fears. This gave him a false sense of hope as he had yet to conquer his deepest turmoil; the fear that he didn't belong amongst the Jedi. This deep rooted insecurity stemmed from his cloudy past and his lack of heritage. It made him feel like an outsider or a traitor among the Jedi. This fear plagued his mind as he traversed the labyrinth. The walls seemed to close around him and apparitions of friends and mentors descended upon him. He failed the trial, and only made it out with Master Naan's intervention.

A Return to his People:

After Okoshti's failure, Master Naan only saw fight to address the fear at it's heart; his unknown past. After thorough investigation, she was able to disclose the location of his origin. They traveled to Shili in order to live amongst the tribe. In his time on Shili, Okoshti was able to connect with his culture. He hunted, celebrated customs and thrived alongside his people. Okoshti and Master Naan lived among them for five years. He assimilated into the culture so much, that he regained his childhood accent. His time among the tribe gave him a sense of identity. Okoshti became one with his people; their problems, victories and traditions became his.

During his stay, hunting became a necessity. The tribe had to hunt to survive and Okoshti was a natural. Over time, his skills grew and his picked up valuable techniques. He soon became proficient in hunting. Okoshti also picked up the art of tanning and a couple of cooking techniques. He practiced tanning by making belts, straps and clothes out of leather.

Okoshti had become engulfed in the culture and wanted to participate in the Togrutan Rite of Passage; the Akul hunt. He set out with four other Togrutans his age. They were each adorned with traditional body paint and armed with a spear. The group's target was an Akul; large carnivorous beasts with thick orange fur, rows of teeth and sharp claws. Okoshti managed to pick up an akul's trail and the group followed it for days. Finally, they stumbled upon it. The beast was ferocious but they had a plan. The Togrutans worked in sync, surrounding the beast. They slowly closed in on the beast until it had nowhere to flee. The beast clawed and hissed at them but could not penetrate their wall of spears. They held steadfast, letting the beast tire itself. As a team, they slaughtered the beast.

This last feat marked Okoshti as a permanent member of the tribe. He had truly reconnected with his people and his heritage. The unity and togetherness of the tribe allowed him to open up and become more social. He blossomed into a pretty charismatic individual. Okoshti was able look deep inside himself and find a sense of self worth. He now knew his abilities, his assets and his potential. Okoshti triumphed over his sense of uselessness and unworthiness and was ready to face the Trial again.

Knighthood:

Okoshti and Master Naan, returned to the Jedi after the Akul hunt. He was finally ready to become a Knight. Once more, he dived into the labyrinth. This time his insecurities no longer shackled him. Okoshti was finally at peace and it showed. His stride was more confident and his spirits lifted. He confronted his inner demons that day. Neither his fears nor the labyrinth could ensnare him any longer and he walked out of the temple a changed man.

Okoshti was knighted on his twenty-third birthday, in the presence of both Master Naan and Master Siff. After becoming a Knight, he remained friends with both and carried on his training. After all, there was always something new to learn. Okoshti has been a Knight for a little over half a year and has resided at the Jedi temple on Tython. His goal is expand his skills, prepare to face any enemy and maybe even impart his knowledge among others one day.

One quick thing I noticed, before reading much of anything else: R-series droids (Such as R6 there) don't exist yet in this timeline.

Although I can totally recommend you use one of my M-series droids that I made. Yup yup.

For future reference, if you're ever looking for stuff that I made, then click on the spoiler tab in my signature that says "Sixth timeline" and then look in there. It'll be easy to figure out.
