Even if days had passed since the last official correspondence, Andros was still downright ecstatic to have been granted a meeting with the newly-elected Senator of Anaxes. It had only been a few years since the half-Orcolan passed his trials and had been granted knighthood, and the way with the Empire had almost exclusively demanded his attention since that time, whether through combat humanitarian engagements. Nevertheless, Andros knew the upcoming diplomatic summit had the potential to make real, critical change within the Galaxy and for the Jedi - second to nothing he’d accomplished thus far.

Since being removed from the Senate and banned from the Core, the rift between the Jedi Order and the New Republic had only festered. To his horror, Andros had seen many of the ‘Anti Force-User’ groups that had started to take root on Republic - but didn’t allow any of that to deter his meeting with Trina.

If there was even a small chance to mend past mistakes, then Andros wasn’t going to squander it.

Upon arriving on Anaxes, Andros was quickly - and rather quietly - ushered into a shuttle prepared to transport him to the Senator’s office. Whatever door had been opened with Trina, the half-Orcolan knew that his very presence in Republic space was a violation of the law - and he made no spectacle of it. His dark hair was combed and styled, and he had opted for
less flashy Jedi robes - the hilt of his saber safely tucked just out of sight.

Andros kept his bronze gaze straight ahead, keeping pace with the droid that guided him to the meeting place. Though the nerves didn’t manifest on his expression, the half-Orcolan couldn’t help but absentmindedly run his fingers through his dark hair - fixing the strands into place for no reason at all. The importance of the meeting, unsurprisingly, wasn’t lost on him. He came to a halt just outside the door to Trina’s office, waiting as the droid alerted the Senator of their arrival.

The doors opened and Trina walked out right away. She glanced up at the tall man outside her door, her sharp eyes studying him for a moment. Her face betrayed nothing, “Curious choice of hair…whatever you have going on there,” She gave a flippant wave of her hand before she strode past him, “And I thought I said strictly no pajamas,” Trina called out without looking back, beckoning for him to follow. Having a Jedi here was dangerous business. They were still technically banned, but that didn’t stop diplomats or others from meeting with them to set up covert deals or to provide discreet assistance.

Trina led the way to a separate chamber, one meant to entertain. It was a grand hall that served as a lounge with plush carpets, sofas and pillows. There was a fireplace roaring to ward off the chill that came this time of year.

She motioned for the Jedi to sit down across from her. Trina clapped her hands as one of the droids came over, “Would you care for some tea, Mr. Sahin?” She asked before the droid was sent away to bring them a tray.

“Naturally you know I’m risking quite a bit simply by meeting with you,” Trina stated, “And I hope that faith isn’t misplaced.”

Truth be told, Andros wasn’t entirely sure what to expect of Senator Kalist when he arrived on Anaxes. He knew the woman to be slightly more sympathetic in her views and took a harsher stance against the Sith, but that was the extent of his knowledge. As a result, the half-Orcolan couldn’t help but arch a brow when the door opened - bronze eyes flicking down to the shorter woman.

He blinked a few times when the Senator commented about his hair. “I’ll take it as a compliment, Senator Kalist,” Andros said with a hint of a smirk, even though it likely wasn’t. His gaze followed to glance over his shoulder as Trina strolled ahead, and he didn’t wait to begin following after the Senator - passing the threshold into the lavious, decorated lounge. Though he said nothing, Andros took a moment to appreciate the finery that surrounded him. His own upbringing on Tanaab and then with the Jedi meant he was never quite accustomed to the aristocratic environment.

“Thank you,” He flashed a tusk-filled smile, proceeding to take a seat just across from the Senator. His hands rested casually on the armrest of the couch, allowing the droid to exit the room - and for Trina to speak - before he delved into the topic at hand. “If I thought it was, I can promise you, Senator, I would not waste your time.” He said genuinely, bronze eyes fixing back onto the woman.

“I know that the New Republic and the Jedi Order haven’t seen eye-to-eye in recent years, but I hope that can change. Starting here on Anaxes, with a partnership between your Government and the Order,” He stated. “The Empire has proven that it cannot be trusted regardless of what agreements they strike, and the Kilik Swarm poses a grave threat to us all. I believe that we are stronger against both if we stand united, and any partnership we reach would be to mutual benefit. One where the Jedi and our allies are best able to serve you and our people,”

“And so I'll ask you,”
He adjusted a bit in his seat. “How can I best provide aid to you, and the people of Anaxes?”
