OOC: Open to all Sector Rangers. To be used for brainstorming (in-character) how to bring Gareth Gin and his crew to justice

Amos McCord was not one to be rushed, but today was an exception. The Ranger Psychologist hurried along the hallways of the Ranger HQ on Coruscant, narrowly managing to avoid his tea whilst carrying a stack of papers and files that swayed precariously with his steps. News of the attack on Mon Cala had broken, and it was all-hands-on-deck in a race to bring those responsible to justice.

The Sector Rangers occupied a unique place in the galaxy; they served across the galaxy, including the New Republic, FWA and the ISC. They were charged with the impossible tasks of preventing crime and combating the Five Syndicates, which usually made logistics a nightmare. But today, everything (including Amos McCord) was being fast-tracked in the rare spirit of cooperation between the various branches of the Sector Rangers in order to bring Garth Gin in; dead or alive.

While others might be motivated by the ample bounties placed on the Zaa Fenn member's head, Sector Rangers served out of a duty to their fellow galactic citizen. Some were already blaming the Sector Rangers for allowing this to happen, which made it even more imperative that the Rangers be the ones to bring him in.

Upon reaching the meeting room, Amos nearly tripped over a swivel chair and managed to set down the files without spilling more than a couple drops of his tea. Others preferred to work electronically, but Amos preferred to read paper files and reports; on the table was everything he'd been able to hastily pull on the terrorist organization Zaa Fenn and the new #1 Most Wanted, Gareth Gin.

Taking a moment to catch his breath, the portly analyst scanned the room. He recognized many of the faces present, including some potentially from other branches joining via holo. The ISC would be taking point on this due to their ongoing conflict with the Syndicates, but such a public incident had led the Ranger branches to pool their resources- something that Amos wished could be done more often. "Thank you for your patience" he wheezed, slowly controlling his breathing. "What have we got so far?"

((Edit: Mentioned the ISC Rangers taking point))

Left alone to his thoughts as he waited on the meeting to begin, they were as dark as his coffee but as clear as the water beside it. He needed the balance, his doctor told him, as much as he needed someone to turn the heater down in this room. For that reason, his black jacket was hanging over his chair, sitting in a gray vest and white shirt whose collar could only be open.

“A mass-murdering Miralukan,” Zad answered as to what they had so far. “And a datapad to find out more.” He rubbed an eye, the lack of sleep only in one. “I’m late to this game but I’m here to find this bastard and put him behind barriers like everyone else.” Or put a bolt in his skull. Depends on who shoots first, me or myself.

“Gareth Gin used a few men and a couple of ships to do what he did but we know he has resources. Connections. These Zaa Fenn assholes are on the same world we are for starters.”

Zad looked around, wondering if anyone was ready for him. “I say we start squeezing them. Small fish lead to bigger fish, criminal or corporate or political. Someone is bound to break when they’re gasping for air. That much I can guarantee.”

Fingers drummed on the datapad. It wasn’t much but it was a start. Maybe someone had more, and hopefully they did, because Zad was content with following the finger that pointed. It’s what he did.

Ceris sat in the meeting room on her phone, playing the latest mobile game: Angry Pigs. She swiftly put it away as another ranger stepped in to begin the meeting. Usually she isn't the one who attends these things, but Grand Admiral Brum is aging rather poorly. So, he sends his trustworthy captain to represent the massive fleet that stationed above Coruscant.

The first ranger to speak up said many words, yet said little. His plan was a bit lack luster; simply just going around snatching up hooligans to see what they knew would make this investigation last way longer than it needed to be. Ceris spoke once he was done "It's easier said than done. The lower levels, as in 1313 and lower, are hardly policed at all. It's riddled with crime and crime organizations, sending a force, even a small one, down there would cause plenty of problems. Going undercover is a painful task as well."

Standing up from her seat, Ceris continued "From just my own intel, the Zaa Fenn have many fraudulent businesses down below in which they use to cover their tracks. Strip clubs, bars, and all types of restaurants are covers for them. It isn't easy to track them when they have so many available locations to use." She paused briefly "The Grand Admiral is prepared to tighten security over Coruscant. Due to Coruscant's size, we usually let most ships move in and out freely unless they are obviously suspicious, but we may have to start checking every ship. However, the Senator of Coruscant and maybe even the Chancellor would have to agree on it. I don't see them disagreeing though."

"I believe the ISC Rangers know more about the Zaa Fenn than I do, so I'm curious to know what their plan is." Ceris slightly bowed her head and sat back down in her seat.

Zad Ruzed spoke first, advocating for a strong-arm approach to finding ways to take down Zaa Fenn. That he should suggest such a tactic wasn't a surprise to Amos, as the veteran Ranger was known to favorably interpret protocols from time to time. He was hardly alone in his desire to blaze a path straight toward Gareth Gin, however, and his proposal was met with muttered agreements from some of the more idealistic members at the meeting.

New Republic Captain Ceris Odrosess quickly quashed that notion, however, by pointing out that embarking on a fact-finding mission to the Coruscant underworld was potentially a waste of time and resources; establishing an undercover operation would take time they did not have, and going in hot would only lead to casualties and suffering. From the sounds of it, her hands were also tied when it came to increasing planetary security.

Which, unfortunately, left them back at Square 1.

Amos frowned as he processed the information and ideas that, unfortunately, left very few actionable steps for them to take. Brown eyes then flicked up and landed on Zed. "Boots on the ground will be necessary at some point, but I'd prefer not to risk lives until we have more to go on. You mentioned a datapad?"
