No sooner had Odin undertossed his own grenade did he blink at seeing double. Whether it be irony or coincidence, hurling through the air at his initial position was another grenade, delivered by the enemy.
Shavit!, he yelled aloud in his head. It was a perilous situation, particularly as Odin had no way of knowing what sort of explosive was being delivered, but was never_a tactically-sound idea to be anywhere near_a grenade detonation.
Thankfully, Odin's original plan still provided him an escape; as soon as he hurled his grenade, and the enemy hurled his, Odin abandoned his position, dropping a second primed smoke grenade and dashing out of the way as he made a diving roll and then a sprint, racing for the opposite end of the freighter, and putting him well out of any grenade's range of detonation. A sound not unlike a thunderclap proceeded from behind him, affirming the grenade was concussive in nature, but Odin did not miss the included sounds of a blaster firing and metallic clanks. Blaster fire that had been directed at his previous location. Now at the opposite end, Odin edged around the side of the freighter, able to clearly see that the Mandalorian was no longer by the crates.
Glancing back around the other side of the freighter, where he had previously just been, and seeing no sign of the enemy, Odin came to three conclusions; either the Mandalorian was waiting on the opposite end of the freighter, had retreated, or had taken cover somewhere else in the landing field. Given the Mandalorian firing at Odin's previous position just moments earlier, however, it didn't take a astrographical savant to figure out which was the most likely scenario. Pulling another grenade from his belt, this time a frag grenade, Odin primed the explosive and rolled it on the ground, through the smoke cloud he left, back toward and just past his original position at the corner of the vessel, before he ran for safety, where it would detonate, then aimed his blaster rifle around the opposite end of the freighter relative to his position, and waited. If by some miracle the grenade didn't kill the Mandalorian, then Odin would make sure his blaster would.
