Junkyards of Ord Mantell
Bright Jewel Sector, Bright Jewel System
Nearly a Decade before the Dawn of the Republic
"Jump!"
The elder of the two young men shouted to his younger sibling before making the all too familiar leap from the hover train. It had been all about timing, the seventeenth turn upon crossing into sector 9 of the junkyard wastes; when the train moved slowest. His flesh met the firm ground before twisting into a roll; one that resulted in him sitting on his backside and staring at the thruster's to a long forgotten Corellian Class frigate. Before he could get to his feet he could hear the wind of his brother get gasp from his chest as he too hit the dirt only a few feet from him before a mixture of coughs and laughter escaped both their lips.
"That never gets easier..."
The younger boy turned to look at the elder as the fun in the jump finally subsided and the pain of impacting earth started to settle in. Nodding his head the elder agreed with his younger brother's statement; he couldn't have been more right as the thought had procured itself in his own mind before making the jump and was finally itself leaving his mind as he started to get to his feet. Looking from left to right his hand raised before a finger pointed at their satchel's which had this time stopped next to a broken down landspeeder. Making his way towards the brown bags he'd look over his shoulder his eyes taking in the sight that was a spitting image of himself only a few years younger and eyes that carried the jade green their mother once adorned.
"We have two hours and seventeen minutes; but you know that. That's see what we can find."
The boy was already setting the timer on his wrist attachment as he also made his way towards their 'luggage.' Upon picking it up he quickly sifted through the bag to make sure everything was there: a light packing of supply, a roughly sketched map, along with a few other personal items. Once he got the all clear his eyes fixated on the taller of the two, his own green eyes staring into the blue orbs of his mentor.
"I think I can beat you onto the train this time."
"Oh, you think so?" The elder said with a smirk while stretching himself out some. His ligaments and back letting out a few cracks and pops; but nothing out of the norm.
"Well.. maybe, I've been practicing!"
The two started in the direction of the northeast side by side to one another. The younger looked to be no more than 13 years old whereas the older of the two couldn't be more than 17 each step they took seemed to carry with it another conversation piece or comment on something they recognized or had salvaged in the past. It wasn't until they came upon a Kuat System's starfighter that the two stopped and looked from it to each other. Nodding to each other the younger took off in the direction to the East of the fighter, where a very large pile of scrap had accumulated. The elder made his way towards the ship directly.
"Dav! Make sure you keep an eye out, I don't want this to go like last time." The senior belt out to his brother.
"Shut-up!" The boy shouted back. "I'll do my job, you worry about yours, Zekk."
Taking a seat within the cockpit of the starfighter Zekk quickly went to work, his hands digging through the satchel before pulling out a multi-tool. Giving the panel a quick glance he opened the tool and began the process of taking it apart. After taking in a deep breath his eyes narrowed and he began working the puzzle with any luck he'd find something of value..
