Since you guys weren't engaged in combat you posting after the thread timer is okay by me this time (me and fyre talked about it), but it would be best for you to keep them in mind when/if combat starts as then you would be losing a round of posting and accepting the consequences of that. If necessary, remember you can always ask for an extension of 24 hours by tagging the appropriate admin or moderator.
Have fun with the rest of the thread, guys.
tagging mods and stuff just so they know what's going on
Alright @Intratec Because you didn't post what she was carrying in that Satchel in the first post it can't be added now, unless its part of her sheet and from what I saw, it's vague at best on her character sheet as to what is in there. So, a Mod would have to approve what is there if anything. As for her barrier stopping a lightsaber and then expanding? She'll be under a good bit of strain to keep that thing from breaching, let alone expanding the barrier around her. That's a pretty potent effect and one, along with her other tricks would be rather fatiguing I would wager.
Just things to consider before I post. If you want to make any edits to your current post about that. @Phœnix
What does thou Mod say on some of this? Mostly the gear x3
As a Sorceress, her ability with the Force outstrips a more martially minded individual. As such she is comparatively weak in melee combat in terms of raw physical strength. On a scale from one to ten, with one being weakest, to ten being Wookiee-like, she's a three. Not even up to human standards if we say they're like, a four or five. Comparatively as a Sorc, and Immortal, in their title they may not be like a Darth, I.E confrontational to the extreme, due to focusing more on the Force than say, being a Juyo master.
The strain is there, just not as bad as you would want it to seem since this is a form of Tutaminis, and I have stated in her Bio that she regularly employs Barrier as one of her defensive techniques. She's blocked barrages of blaster bolts with it before, and if we were to compare them in power, it'd be a 'constant' blaster bolt for the Saber. Yes, it is strenuous, about as strenuous as a bodybuilder lifting weights. She's just flexing her 'Muscle' in this regard.
-Shrugs-
The gear, if we get down to brass tax, is a UAC-19 Combat Armor with Leather gloves that are Phrik Lined. The stuff in the bag was rather modest. Maybe one or two of those vials of 'Greek' fire. And some other stuff like the equipment she disguised her lightsaber with as well as maybe a bit of Bota or Bacta. Nothing too extravagant. ^^;
If we were to compare power, a barrage of blaster shots is nothing in comparison to a Lightsaber. Now I am aware of what she is doing with Tutaminus, energy manipulation. However, a Lightsaber is far, far more powerful than that. A lightsaber can cut through walls like a blow torch through butter, they can melt durasteel blast doors and are quite capable of cutting through the materials that encase starship fuel tanks. A Blaster, sadly won't ever do that. A Blaster Cannon may blow a hole through it with enough power but will never achieve the kind of cutting power a Saber has. So this weapon against her barrier would be putting her skills to their limits, especially if she's trying to expand it outwards as fast as she is.
I look at it like this. If Khalen were to ply his physical strength in lifting a heavy weight, would he be physically exhausted afterwards? Or would he merely be winded. He is physically superior in terms of raw strength. While in comparison Ayindri is physically inferior. She makes up for this in sheer power of the Force. It isn't just skill. For Khalen's physical attributes, she has her own Force-based ability. She'll be winded yes, but just like if he were to lift a weight, there is that moment of explosive strength.
There was a report lodged for this last night, but just as a reminder (since I'm now seeing it was tried previously), tagging is not a good way of reaching the mods.
On to the ruling: while blocking a lightsaber will be physically taxing over a long duration, and if it continues unstopped, will eventually burn through a defense, this has only been going on for ~1 round of combat and Ayindri's focus is not being split between different things so there's no real reason that the shield would fail yet. As for the shield expansion, again, there's no real reason for it to fail (split attention, extreme duration, etc.) although I will caution that the larger the shield gets, the harder it will be to maintain.
@Krajin I think you timed out on the two day posting limit. I'd prefer it if you wrote what happened to Khalen instead of my doing so as he is your character.
