I decided to jump right into the deep end and suggest an advanced roleplay based around the World of Ice and Fire created by George RR Martin, better known to many as the Game of Thrones series. While this will not follow any of the characters, for obvious reasons, I'm wanting to use the World itself as a playing ground, beginning with an adventure to the Doom of Valyria where the Dragons of Old came from. Despite the fact that whatever caused its doom still shows signs today (the ocean surrounding it is called the Smoking Sea for a reason!) I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if we threw some characters into the heat of it and see just what lies beyond the smoking ruins of the once greatest civilisation known to man!
So while this is purely a place to plan it, I'm wondering if there are any aSoIaF/GoT fans around who would be interested in beginning a chain of roleplays based in the World of Ice and Fire. First with the Doom but from there on branch out with other characters and various charted and uncharted lands! It would be based many generations after the end of the current book, which means some Houses may be around, others may not, but the idea isn't that we're recreating characters [if someone was to make a Lannister, so to speak, they wouldn't be recreating the "perfect" warrior we found in Jaime, etc]
But yeah, not sure if this will get a very positive response but if the worst comes to the worst I'm sure just a handful of people could bring the World to life!
Thanks for taking the time to read this; Libby.
