SPACE STATION ARCHIMEDES. ORBITING VANDYNE
0700 Hours

The space station is now under Mandalorian control. But they will soon find out that they were not the only ones to have noticed the blackout. Exiled Imperial agents are on their way to investigate the satellite. Engage them in battle, or set traps and wait. The pirates left plenty of grenades for you.

In orbit above the system of Vandyne, an Old Empire spacestation has gone dark. There were no distress signals, so it was thought to have likely lost power. As it turned out, the site had been attacked by a gang of pirates. This station would prove useful in gathering data for the Mandalorian faction against the Sith forces, so it was crucial the Death Watch members keep it under their protection. Under the assisted command of Corrine Solus, the two squads of Mandalorians were currently picking up the pieces from their latest fight. That's when one of them noticed an incoming ship had departed light speed.

The fight was hard pressed. The first squadron to arrive, Alpha team, was led by Corrine Solus and consisted of herself, Radith Kelborn, and Death Watch's actual leader Dez Rau. Corrine figured Dax was testing the red head to see if she were fit for any sort of command. At first she thought the man had taken a liking to her, but he knew she'd recently been married into the Solus clan and thus was off the market. But that was just her impression of him. Out of the blue he suddenly stopped showing any interest in her other than a soldier. Maybe he'd found someone else?

The second squad, consisting of Briana Saxon and a dozen or so of their Mandalorian soldiers had come to meet them in the main hanger after Alpha team pushed through the traps that the pirate infiltrators had set up. Corrine and her men expected some resistance, but what the Death Watch team hadn't expected was for them to use knock out gas grenades which were almost too much for the Mandalorians to hold out against. Their visors might have had respirators in them, but Corrine especially did not have any special upgrades to it to prevent the inhalation of the gas itself.

But now that the pirates were pulled back, and unexpected surprise waited for them. There were boxes of the grenades just lying around. They would make for excellent supplies back on Umbara to the troops that wanted them badly enough. Corrine couldn't help but smile as she walked around observing the men and woman who'd fought with her. They'd fought well on her behalf, and it was only fair she rewarded them with the spoils of the pirate's folly. But their celebration was cut short as one of the more tech-savvy members came rushing over.

"Miss Solus! Miss Solus!" the man called over as he rushed to her side.

With a scowl on her face the woman snapped at him, "It's Cory!" She hated being addressed as a girl. She'd grown up basically being raised as a boy all her life (in an attempt to please her father who wanted nothing more than a son; of course he'd gotten three girls back to back). "Now what is it?"

"Sorry Mam-Sir! Sir. We picked up a ship coming out of light speed. It looks like their aiming to dock with us."

Corrine turned swiftly and ran to get a better angle out of the hangar. The blue light protecting them from outer space made it a little difficult to see, but it was clear there was something out there coming for them.

Calling out loudly she would shout, "Men! To arms!"

Corrine would snap her helmet over her head and a familiar hiss locked it in place. The H.U.D systems came online allowing her to see the hangar once again through her visor. Like all Mandalorians, Corrine Solus was wearing a thick iron skin known as Beskar'gam. The woman had two sets to call her own, but had recently put away her father's gear for her new set: that of the Death Watch squad. As such, she'd taken several pieces of her advanced tech and placed them on their armor. Her left wrist was equipped with a flamethrower; her right wrist a missile launcher. Both had limited uses, but she was itching to use them in a fight. Her boots were also upgraded to allow a jump feature which helped with aerial maneuvers.

As far as weapons went, Corrine's choices were pretty basic. She loved her two "strill" blaster pistols the most and would likely never trade them in. On her back she carried a Westar C-1 blaster carbine and was likely the best sniper Death Watch had to offer. That was of course, her opinion and not at all ever based on actual proof. While she never took to fighting with hand to hand combat, she'd recently started carrying a vibroblade dagger just in case someone got past her guns. Not likely. And even if they got past her Westar, that's why she also brought along a new addition of a SGB-1 scatter blaster that was sure to shred anyone who got close.
