The Light of the Force. Hunter had elected to come aboard the large ship for the first time to find a reprieve from those who knew of his predicament. In seven years he had surprisingly never been on the floating fortress. Now, he believed there was no better place he could go.

He had just returned from Tython where he had recovered before being demoted and sent off. He had recognized his mistake and held no bitterness for being stripped of his rank. He would train and learn before a master would be sought.

He meandered aimlessly through the halls. He had seen no one so far and had no idea where he should go. He soon found himself at a door which opened when he approached. He found it to be empty. Smiling slightly he turned on the lights and settled himself in the center. On the walls were various things, ranging from training sabers to round balls to blocks and even marbles. From his sitting position, he levitated several of the toys toward him to rest before him.

It was an unusual day. Jaina had not felt well as she woke up, so instead of undertaking her usual early practice session, she stayed in bed and worked on increasing her knowledge, by reading about piloting, first aid and some force abilities that she would like to learn. She had begun to show progress and she knew she had to push herself even harder to progress further. Her skills and abilities were increasing and she realized that she would soon need to build herself a lightsaber, but that was not the proper day for a such a feat.

Instead, once she felt better, she decided to visit one of the training rooms. It was at such an hour that there weren't many people walking around the ship. Still, she was surprised to find a man sitting in the center of the room. Jaina stopped for a moment, realizing that the dark haired man was most probably meditating, but then a thought sprung into her head. She decided to test him, see whether he was worth her time. She used the force to lift up two training dummies (the sort that were made from softer material, after all, she had no intention of killing the guy) from either of his sides and sent them flying towards him. One could say that that was Jaina's way of saying hello.

Hunter did not notice the door opening, nor the person enter. But as he was levitating the knick knacks about him he suddenly got a feeling of warning. Only then did he notice the dummies flying towards him. He took no time to question why or how; he quickly sent a shove back at each of them, sending them to the ground.

Now standing, he looked towards the door. It was at that moment he noticed the girl standing there. Smirking he tossed a few blocks at her. He had a mind to toss the dummies at her for payback but he suppressed the urge. Instead, he replaced the dummies to where they belonged.

Jaina quickly inspected her counterpart as he stood up. He seemed to be around her age. She was intrigued by him and she was uncertain whether it was his looks, or his attitude that caught her attention. Either way, she did not stand around for too long, as she found herself in the way of a few flying blocks. Putting her physical training to good use, she crouched and rolled underneath the flying objects, avoiding any collision with them.

As he came out of the roll, she quickly stood up, finding herself to be just a few steps away from the man. She stood up straight, as if she was going to speak, rather than attack. Her voice rang through the room and anyone who had heard her speak before would realize that she was enhancing her voice, obviously with the intent to hide something. However, to a complete stranger her high voice might come about as normal.

"I challenge you to a sparring match. The first one to land a punch shall be the victor. Do you accept?" whilst speaking the girl used the cover of her voice and distraction of her words to reach out through the force and grasp a couple of blocks, laying behind the man. She slowly and silently moved them closer to him, so in the very moment he would accept the challenge, if he was to accept it, she would launch her attack. The blocks would be directed at the feet of the man, while Jaina would leap at him, swinging to punch with her left hand. That way, even if he was to avoid both attacks, Jaina would not intercept the blocks and would be able to continue her attacking movements, or defend herself, should the need arise.

The back of Hunter's head tingled in warning as the girl spoke. He was stunned at the powerful voice coming from her and some part of his mind supplied the information that it had to be some sort of trick. As he pondered her request the urge to look behind him only grew, but he resisted. "I don't make a habit of hitting girls, but I accept."

After he accepted the girl would launch the blocks at his feet and jump at him. Unable to duck her attack for that would leave him open to the blocks but also unable to jump to avoid the blocks for then she would land the punch, Hunter would roll to the left, land in a crouched position and quickly stand. He would then proceed to run at her, use the Force to aid him in jumping over her head, then, once on the other side of her, attempt to sweep out her feet and punch her when she was down.

(Sorry for the wait)

(No problem, also, nice moves)

Jaina's attack had failed, but she had no time to falter. She saw the man come back at her, only to jump over her head, she used that moment to roll beneath him in the direction her had come from, placing herself out of his reach, rendering his sweep useless. She got back up to her feet and turned around, it was time for the real battle to begin. "I'm Jaina."

She sprinted towards the man, using the force to throw the two blocks at him, before she would reach him herself, she anticipated the blocks would keep him busy for long enough, she would watch his movements carefully and just when he was done dealing with the blocks, she would reach him and attempt another punch, with her left hand, whilst keeping her right in a defensive position, next to her face.

Adonia had been locked in deep meditation for quite some time while she was aboard the Light of the Force, it had been some time since her first padawan had left the order to return home, Adonia could not help but feel that she had failed in some capacity, but after talking to her brother it was clear that all she could do was open the door, it had to be Jake that walked through it. With the same feeling of great dread looming over her, she still felt it was her duty to take on another learner, to teach them what she knew, and this is why she meditated for almost three days straight . She would seek her new padawan through the force and not the database of approved learners like last time. it would be a young initiate by the name of Hunter Millard. The boy had a tough past, such a close brush with the dark side was not to be blinked at , but he had the drive and the aptitude to learn and better himself, and as always that stood out to Adonia. Finally moving from her spot she made her way to her quarters to clean up and ready herself to meet her new prospect, the decision was never officially announced and he would likely not even know he has been chosen at this point, that thought made Adonia smile, it would be a wonderful surprise.

Freshened up Adonia made her way out of her room in her dark blue robes, making her way to his presence she slipped into the sparring room and watched from one of the walls as the two initiates were locked in battle, it brought her back to the days when she used to run over the unforgiving rooftops of the Coruscant as practice with Matsu, they were better days, simpler days. She did not plan on stopping them, she admired their desire to learn on their own, it was some thing rare in the order these days, and with it being so stretched, a necessity that many learners just did not possess.

Sensing the blocks come rushing at him, Hunter quickly leaped up over them with some assistance from the Force. This brought him closer to his opponent, but, watching her stance as she ran at him, he was able to duck, barely missing the swing. As he ducked, he brought his right hand up to catch her left fist, and pushed her back with the Force, allowing him to stand and prepare for his next attack. "Hunter. It's an honor to make your acquaintance, Jaina."
He gave a bow at the waist, only to leap and roll towards her before she could get up. If she didn't move quick enough he would be crouched in front of her, ready to strike.

Feeling the push hit her, Jaina allowed it to throw her backwards, but through her extensive physical training, she was able to maintain her balance and instead of drop on the ground, she perform a back flip and landed firm on her feet. The girl threw a quick look to the newcomer, as if to notify her that she had been noticed, but then returned her attention to the charging, or rather leaping, Hunter.

Instead of backing away, Jaina took a step forwards, aiming to embrace her opponent before he was able to land. She used the force to try and direct him towards the ground, whilst swinging with her left hand, attempting to land a punch on Hunter's chest, as she thought that if she hit him in the head, she might injure him and as much as she liked to prove herself, she didn't need to put others in hospital to do so, or at least not yet.

Hunter felt Jaina try to push him to the ground mid-leap. No way he would allow that. He resisted the pull by sending a blast down to counteract the force pulling him down by pushing him up. He twisted around to land crouched. When he landed he pushed off with a yell to tackle her at the right side of her legs. His plan was to send her to the ground on her side by wrapping his left arm around her knees then punch her in the stomach with his right hand. He had yet to notice the observer.

Jaina, however, managed to anticipate the sweeping attack of her opponent, so, having been firmly on the ground, she simply jumped upwards, avoiding the hand that was to wrap around her knees and tackle her. As she had risen in the air and her opponent had remained crouched, her feet had lined up with his upper chest and head. With that the girl wasted no time, to allow Hunter to finish his attack and instead launched a kick of her own, aimed at her counterpart's chest. While performing the kick, she would use the chest of the man as a platform to launch herself backwards and land several feet away.

Unprepared and unprotected Hunter had no chance of avoiding the kick by the time he noticed it. The blow connected, sending Hunter sprawling across the floor and his opponent up in the air. Wheezing from having the air knocked out of him, Hunter made no move to get up as he recovered. He would certainly have a bruise soon. As he absentmindedly rubbed at the sore spot on his sternum a thought came to him. That blow was her killing strike. She thought she had won. But he thought back to her proposition and smiled wickedly. Coughing he chuckled, "Thought you had me beat huh? Well," he heaved himself onto his elbows with a grunt, acting a bit more injured than he was,"Sorry to inform you, but you're mistaken. You see," he paused again to stand,"The deal was the winner was whoever landed the first punch. And I'm pretty sure that was a kick."

Hunter smirked as he let off a blast to send Jaina against the wall, not hard enough to bounce back but just enough to stun her a bit. Once she connected Hunter would sprint forward and swing at her jaw with his right hand. He didn't want to really injure her but he was sure a sore jaw would compensate him for his black and blue chest.

Jaina did not even waste a moment to argue, as she was certain that he would bring that up. Still, the force push surprised her and did knock her against the wall. She, however, anticipated the approaching opponent and instead of trying to hold her ground, she waited until he was close enough to strike and then allowed herself to drop to the ground, avoiding the punch, allowing the wall to meet the incoming fist of her opponent.

That moment would have been perfect for her to counter punch Hunter and win the fight, but she felt slightly dizzy from hitting her back against the wall, as she had not tried to resist the force push it had had a bigger effect than it should have, so instead of fighting back, Jaina rolled to the side and then leaped further away, getting back up on her feet and turning towards her opponent. Both had taken a slight beating and it seemed as if the battle was only just beginning.

Hunter winced as his fist met the hard wall. His knuckles were scraped, while the wall didn't even have a dent. Growling he turned around, ready to be forced to avoid another set of attacks. His eyes followed the movements of his opponent, and was surprised to find she merely moved out of the way instead of fighting back. He mulled over whether to go ahead and attack, or wait for her to make the first move so he could recover.

He merely stared at her for a moment, his heart slowing to normal levels, breath ceasing to come in quick pants. The ache of his body became more prominent now that he was at rest. His mind thought of a hundred ways to take advantage of their lowered hackles and he beat them back. Raising his hackles again and shifting slightly Hunter smiled crookedly and mentally quipped, 'Ladies first.'

Jaina took advantage of the small pause in the battle to recover her full concentration, stretch her back a bit to ease off the fading pain, then locked her orange eyes onto her opponent. She took notice of their surroundings and decided to go for a rather straight forward attack this time around.

The wall was on her right and Hunter's left, which gave her a slight advantage in the tactic that she was about to try out. She charged at the man with a more serious look than before. Her eyes were fixed, her movements were calculated and exact. Just before she came in too close to her opponent, she put her right foot on the wall and pushed off of it in a diagonal direction, thus quickly changing her location and hopefully not allowing her opponent to react to this sudden change, she attempted another left hand punch, this time aimed for the right shoulder of her counterpart.

Hunter was caught unprepared as she took off in a sprint. By the time his brain caught up she was pushing off against the wall and flying towards him, fist at the ready. Seeing no other option he did what any sane person would do. He threw himself to the floor, perhaps a little too hard, as when he got to his feet again his knees were protesting the trauma. Locking onto his opponent he recognized this wasn't fun and games. It was practically a real battle, no holding back. And he had to smirk, because he was set on getting that punch in and he hated losing. She wouldn't know what hit her.

He caught every minor movement as he watched her. She wouldn't get the best of him if he could allow it.

Upon landing, her punch having missed, Jaina made a few short steps forwards and then turned to face her opponent. Even though he was laying on the ground, she did not launch another attack, instead she moved towards the center of the room, where she would feel more comfortable, as she would have more space and thus be more flexible in her fighting. Her eyes, however, never dropped from her opponent, and her senses, despite not being very strong, were working hard to prevent any surprise attack from occurring.

The girl stopped in the middle of the room and allowed her hands to rest at her sides, instead of taking up a guard. She waited and watched anticipating an attack on her opponent's part, she was confident in her capabilities and was ready to push this fight to the next level.
