Oh goody. Another opportunity for Karen Travisty to crap on the saga.

I'll be passing on this one.

Yeah that pissed me off.
In LoTF in her last book for it I know there are spoilers. Her second one in it has some.
IDK, it annoyed me.

I never liked the Republic Commando books. The names are a turn off for me. If a book doesn't have good names, I don't like reading it. Also, there aren't any huge battles. Plus, the names and places and events are kinda hard to keep track of.

So yeah, probably won't be reading this one.

This is a Republic Commando novel? I was wanting to read this, but I think I should read the other RC books forst. I still gotta finish the Bounty Hunter wars novels...

Yeah, Imperial Commando. Why anyone would give her a chance to inject her nonsense into the original trilogy time period is beyond me.

I'm sure it "makes sense" in Travisty's own special way.

As a writer no.

As someone trying to make sense of how everything is linked together she is awful.

She's a decent enough writer only in terms of writing style. She just doesn't know what "continuity" or "realism" means and doesn't really know how to tell a story. Sometimes that can be forgiven. For example, Lucas has had problems keeping to continuity and realism, and has had problems telling a story. Travisty just gets to a point where it's totally ridiculous.

Dude, we got laser swords!

But yeah I'm not too fond of her. Too me it is a bit simplistic and I'll admit I have three of the Republic Commando books. Bought 'em cheap so no worries.
