Orion is governed by one single purpose: to discover, stalk, and kill the most dangerous beings the galaxy has to offer. Exile, Jedi, man, woman, these things mean nothing to Orion. He kills regardless of race, creed or allegiance. His only criteria that needs to be met to kill something is that it must present a challenge to him. He isn't some psychotic killer after all. He will not harm children for any reason, and any being he deems to be weaker than him are safe from his wrath as they would pose no challenge. He also will not kill someone out in the open public unless his life is in danger, much preferring to stalk his prey and kill them without anyone, even the prey itself, knowing what had even happened.
He prefers to be alone. This does not mean that Orion will not converse with other beings or that he is incapable of working with others, only that he prefers to be alone because he knows he can trust his own skills to complete a job. The life of a hunter isn't a particularly lucrative one, so Orion decided to become a bounty hunter. He is very selective about the bounties he chooses, preferring ones that list Jedi or Exile as targets.
The events of the galaxy as a whole are pretty much meaningless to Orion. Some people might mistake his ignorance of such things as stupidity, but those people generally don't live very long. One thing that he is particularly knowledgeable about though is a variety of different alien anatomies. Orion has studied his many different species most vital areas, knowing exactly where they needed to be hit for quick, silent and easy kills.
Born to be a hunter, Orion spent the first parts of his life learning to temper his instincts in the Jedi Order. Filled with a constant internal struggle, Orion strived to be the ideal young Jedi. Combat training came easily to young human as he was often able to overpower his fellow younglings through cunning and guile. He began to lag behind his fellow Jedi in his study of the Force. He found it difficult to find the inner calm that serves as a Jedi's foundation to the usage of the Force.
He knew his training was coming to end, soon his companions would be promoted to full Jedi Knights and they would join their brothers and sisters on the battlefield. Orion was pulled aside by an older Jedi human He was told he had been assigned to him to complete his final training towards Knighthood. His youngling companions were promoted to Knights the next day, Orion being held back.
His master took him to a remote planet where they continued his training. At first, it was quite normal but over the next weeks, Orion became more and more suspicious about the direction of his training. His master encouraged him to embrace the nature he had fought his whole life to control. By the time, he realized he was straying from the teachings of the Jedi, he was convinced that he would no longer be welcomed and that the Masters had no intention of letting him become a Knight
Over the next several months, His master was introduced to the Dark side of the Force slowly. Where centering his mind was difficult before, he easily took to using his emotions to fuel his power. Over countless conversations with his new teacher, Orion was shown the errors in the Jedi teachings. The final nail in the coffin was driven in when He was shown how The Knights were literally slaves to the Masters, small coins to be spent in any market they chose. He knew then that to the Jedi Council, they were nothing more throw away pennies in an argument over philosophy.
Orion prepared himself to become the hunter he was born to be refusing to become anyone’s slave not even his master’s. On the next trip they made to an inhabited planet he simply walked off never to return taking with him his equipment and his masters credit chip.
