OS^2 INTERFACE SUIT

Designed by cybernetics company, BioTech Industries, the OS^2 Interface Suit is a new product on the market designed to support organic to software interface procedures. Consisting of what effectively is a wetsuit, lined with pipes carrying coolants, the suit has injection needles across the spine and arms, providing stimulants directly to the wearer. In order to work correctly, the suit must be paired with a AJ^6 Borg Construct in order to work correctly.

Once activated, the coolant system kicks into gear, and the stim needles press into the wearer, injecting when vitals begin to fluctuate. This enables the wearer to focus entirely on interfacing with the holonet, greatly improving their cyber abilities. However, in doing so the wearer is totally unable to move whilst they are online, and must recline on a lounger or chair, normally wired into computers and databanks.

Whilst this is considered 'armour' in a conventional sense, it does not provide any protection from physical attack, and is instead designed to support an organic body in often illegal slicing activities.

LEGALITY

This armour is legal but would raise serious suspicions if seen in the hands of someone who was not known to be engaged in legal cybersecurity work, or intense data processing.

INTENT

There's a lot of 'traditional' slicer equipment on SWRP, but I was looking to add something a little more in line with some of the cyberware we see in video games and dystopian movies. This is intended to be used by slicers, who want to try and 'RP out a hack' in a less traditional sense.

Type and Coverage

Type: Light

Coverage: A wetsuit covers the entire body bar the head and hands. It provides no protection from physical attack.

Functions

Function 1: Coolant System
  • The suit is lined with coolant pipes to keep the wearer at a good healthy tempurature.
Function 2: Borg Interface
  • At the base of the neck, the suit incorporates an interface allowing it to be controlled by a Borg interface. This is complemented by a VR-style headset system which enables the wearer to view the ongoing flow of data.
Function 3: Stimulants
  • Down the spine, arms and legs, the suit carries stimulant injecting needles to keep the wearer stable during difficult tasks.
