Kunda walked the vast halls of the temple as he searched for his two Padawans, a Miraluka and a human. After being promoted to a Knight, Kunda was searching the temple for the perfect two Padawans that would be an excellent fit for him and the order. He promised himself that they would become the two best Padawans and quickly have them promoted to Knight status. But that time was not near, there was much to learn for the three of them. They still had to construct their own custom lightsabers, after learning shii-cho and tuning their force powers to fit their style; along with force training, a crash course in diplomacy, survival training and even starfighter training. Kunda would make sure that these two would be ready to train two of their own when they are ready. Finally Kunda found a nice spot in front of the temple waterfall and awaited for his two apprentices that had been informed where to find him. All he had to do was wait.

Carson was in the large training room. Around him were the scraps and parts of training droids hat had met with his vibroblade. In the middle of the scrap pile was Carson Blane who was finishing off a twelfth droid by leaping over it and amputating its limbs with a skillful (yet disturbing) grace. Carson grabbed his towel from his bag and used it to wipe the sweat from his forehead. Carson was about to call in another droid to complete his exercise but was interrupted by a Tw'elik messenger."Your Master,Kunda,Has requested to meet you outside by the temple waterfall." the male Tw'elik said. Carson lifted his hand away from the button and started for the door eager to meet his master. "But I do ask that the mess you have made is to be cleaned up." The messenger said pointing at the remains of the training droids. "Nothing the janitors can't handle." Carson said as he started down the temple's long halls. Carson soon left the building. Not far away he saw the waterfall and a tall wookie standing next to it. Cason dashed over too him. "Master Kunda I presume?" Carson said extending out his hand to the wookie. "Im Carson Blane"

Training. The effects of quarterstaff training began to take its toll on Varrion as beads of sweat began to drip off his face. After his meeting with several other padawans he had been told he would be receiving training from a master soon. In anticipation he went down to the training hall and began to practice with a wooden staff, preparing himself for practice with a dual-blade, should he receive one. If he had to use a single blade first it would be a bit more of a challenge but he was not worried. He was sure he could do it. He fought no droids as the wood could not stand up to the steel and would have been useless.Soon a messenger had entered the training hall and told another padawan a master was ready to train him. Oddly enough, after he had left the messenger came to him and gave him a similar message.

"Jedi Kunda awaits you by the temple waterfall. He is to be your master for the time being in the ways of the blade." Afterwards the Twi'lek had left posthaste, and the Miraluka followed suit.As he walked he began to feel a tingling sensation in his stomach. What was it? Was it......excitement? Whatever it was it felt...good. The corners of his lips twitched upward for a moment but quickly fell back into place. When he had reached the waterfall he was not surprised to see the other padawan standing there. What he was surprised to see was the Jedi that was to train him was a Wookie. That was different. How was he supposed to speak with them? Perhaps he transmitted his thoughts to others like the one woman, Matsu did. No matter, he would find out soon enough.

"Greetings Jedi Kunda, I am Varrion Rhys and I am to be your Padawan for the time being. " He knelt before him as he saw many other padawans do before their masters and stood once again, nodding at his padawan partner."Greetings to you as well."

Kunda nodded at Carson and returned Varrion's bow, before communicating to each one separately.
What do you know about the living force?
Asking them separately the same question, Kunda continued his focus towards the waterfall while awaiting their answers. Both answers would provide the first steps to beginning their training. Either way, it would force the two Padawans to think before speaking and acknowledged what they truly understand about the all-powerful Force.

What do you know about the living force?

Carson thought for a moment."Well..The force is the greatest power in the galaxy. It binds everything together and.....influences and flows through every living thing...But to some people ,like us, the force has a special effect on us." Carson slowly said "And that's all that I can think of at any rate."

"What do you know about the living force?"
As he suspected, Kunda's words rang in his mind, the vibrations of the force bouncing off the corners of his mind. He gave it some thought and spoke," I only know what my," he winced,"father, taught me. The Force is the greater power that surrounds and inhabits us, binding all living beings together as one. Like all beings, the Living Force has the potential for good or evil, the light sight or dark side. Some people, like ourselves, have the ability to tap into the force, and use it for their purposes to a degree. Much farther than that I know little. "What he knew of the force was likely to be identical to Carson's.

Upon hearing both answers, Kunda knew these weren't untrained Padawans and he had made the right decision. However, even though the answers were unique and well thought out, they were generic and the same answers that the rest of the galaxy perceives the Force as; a tool. By some people like us, Carson's words rang out as Kunda released himself from his concentration of the waterfall, use it for their purposes. Both of these answers viewed the Force as a powerful tool, not a life style, that would soon change.

Good answers both of you. Right now I want you two to focus on this waterfall. Tell me what you feel from the waterfall.

There answers would decide what happens next in their training, what topic would they learn and where they would go.

Turning his attention to the waterfall, Varrion began to think. At first he did not understand what Kunda wanted him to say, as he concentrated harder and harder on the waterfall and continued to find nothing, he began to understand.Stop focusing, just feel. He let his mind run with the water, his thoughts flowed with every drop, attuning itself to the energy of the life around him. His Force Sight allowed him to see the life force radiating off of the plants that had grown over the walls and touched the streams of water. The waterfall itself was visible in the form of energy and it could be seen passing into the plant life.

"I see...life. The water fall acts as more than just an ornamental piece to the temple, it provides a steady stream of food to the plants, bonding with the sun's light to give them life. In turn these plants give life to the animals, perhaps not here as we do not herd or farm, but perhaps elsewhere. When the animals and plants pass away they give their nutrients back to the land and aid new life once more. This water, though not so great to us here, is grand in a much larger scale. Through this waterfall I can see clearly, clearly that its flowing waters symbolize the flow and cycle of life, the natural order of the universe." Varrion would admit he was trying to sound rather philosophical but these were his actual thoughts, the Force taking a grip on him.

Carson nodded and followed his master's orders.Carson closed his eyes and thought hard about the waterfall. At first he saw nothing but the back of his eyelids. He thought harder and harder until he almost gave up. Carson slowly relaxed himself for a moment and dipped his hand in water at the base of the waterfall. Suddenly he felt a spark go off inside of him. He let himself think with the sound off the running water.suddenly the spark became a fire. Images flashed before his very eyes."I saw the waterfalls life. From the moment it was a tiny drop of water falling off of a cliff to...to...this!" He shouted. "I saw the first jedis who came to settle here talk were we are standing. And as Varon said I saw the lives of the creatures and people this waterfall given life to also. From..that tree over there to some of our most respected Jedi masters." Carson was silent for a moment."I...I just saw the living force didn't I?"

The Living Force is more than any of us can imagine. The images and feelings that you've just felt were just that; imprints of the history of this waterfall. As you both stated, it perceives the cycle of life as we know it. Put your stuff down and dive into the water.

Kunda put his utility belt and vest on the ground and then jumped into the waterfall and landed with a big splash.

Carson nodded and removed his jacket and belt. He jumped into the water after his master and looked up at Varrion "hop in the water's fine." He said.

Varrion had no quarrels with getting into the water, he just had to detach from himself from the Force a bit to regain his focus. He removed his belt, boots, and exterior robes, and with a no splash he waded into the water, seeing it unnecessary to make such a large leap. The water was cold upon his skin, causing every cell to tingle and retract, giving him goosebumps. He could see ripples in the water faintly, the energy changing direction as it passed around him. It was an interesting sight.

"The water has changed by our presence, changing direction to fit the new obstacles. In a more philosophical standpoint, it could represent the ever-changing workings of the Force, so that it can fit the environment. I feel...I feel I am presented with a greater onrush of energy as the water surrounds me though it seems to leave me as quickly as it left."Varrion answered the straightforward question and sunk a bit below the water, taking a sip of the stream's wealth. It was so pure, untainted, fresh.

"Well I do feel....something..Its something familiar." He said with the flame he had felt from the waterfall was inside him growing and swelling. "I just can't exactly place it."
