Xorrn

It had been hard to concentrate on her work for the last several weeks, her projects now just sitting idly as she tried to find something more productive to occupy her time. She had tried to reach Altair, but received no response. She had tried to see him in person but only to be turned away as he was seeing no one. The woman knew exactly what had made him this distraught. She had felt a combination of worry, annoyance, and despair and probably not for even the reasons she wanted to believe as she waited quietly in the cold desert of Xorrn for her hired contract to arrive to the rendezvous point outside the port city.

It was just before dawn and despite normally committing herself to a mixture of meditation, katas, and other rituals, she decided on just meditating. Her eyes remained open and set on the horizon as she tried to focus on the upcoming plan, but instead her thoughts continued to be pulled back to Altair. A part of her grieved for his pain and yet there was existential dread that hung with her as his mourning reminded of the agony she knew Emryc experienced with the break-up of Stolas and his eventual death. It was with those thoughts was she reminded how truly alone she had become and in some devious way, her thoughts questioned if others would mourn her passing in the same threshold. Or, would anyone even love her enough to mourn her passing at all?

Clearly these were not the questions one should be asking prior to inciting a coup, but the thought ate at her as much as she passionately cared and wanted to protect, who would do the same for her? In the end it was always herself that had to solve her way through a challenge.

Though there were many challenges she was able to solve, and she was certain this one would be worth her time. In an effort to seek to control the Ferra shipyards, Tiamat had agreed to weed out a few challengers that wished to continue to use slaves as their labor to work at the shipyards. There were a few groups who were looking to change that and have agreed to the terms set by Tiamat if she was able to clear their path to liberation and honest labor. She knew she would not be able to do it on her own and decided to enlist the help or paid help of fours, whether or not he would remember her from their last job on Bakura, she was uncertain. He was a bit weirded out on their last interaction, but felt confident if the credits were right, he would join.
