System Name: Panatha System

Satellites: Two Moons and One Sun

Coordinates: H, 16

Hyperlane: N/A

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

Gravity: Standard

Climate: Jungle based

Resources: The planet produces 3% of the galaxy's known resource of phrik.
Major Locations: !. Lorvian City 2. King's Palace

POPULATION

Native Species: Epicanthix

Immigrated Species: Humans, Bith, Togrutas

Population: Moderately Populated

Primary Languages: Epicant, Galactic Basic (occasionally for Outsiders)

Culture:

The citizens of Panatha are extremely firmed in a belief they are superior to other species. All Panathians will only speak Eoicant, refusing to speak Basic unless required to do so.

The society on Panatha is one of levels. There are three classes of life; the rich, the center, and low. Each class views the other with contempt; bordering on hatred. The society on Panatha extends further hatred of outsiders, or offworlders; viewing them as a pestilence.

Panathians have a view of religion resembling what would be called Paganism. They have a God or Goddess for everything from the simple keeper of birds to the crawling things. However, the main belief is that Kor is the God of Life; bringing about the changes that shape their lives. The Goddess known as Flid is the Goddess of Death; bringing about the winds of rebirth; or reincarnation to those extremists. If should be noted that those who live outside the city (jungles, mountains, and rainforests) believe they have a stronger connection to the God and Goddess than those who live within the city.

Daily life on Panatha various. To those that live within the city, they feel secure and safe while those that live outside the city are forced to survive by any means possible. City and folkists (those that live outside the city) have a long tradition of contempt for one another.

GOVERNMENT, TECHNOLOGY, & ECONOMY

Government: Monarchy

Stability: The planet is stable, but barely.

Economy: The planet isn't poor but it's far from proclaiming wealth. The lone city sees potential prosperity, while those outside the city life struggle financially.
Technology: Panatha's technology is behind in the times (think medieval era). However, they are growing slowly, and will grow further once they become more associated with the galaxy.

History

In the beginning, Panatha was covered by several tribes; each warring and jockeying for position as the front runner to rule. Several bloody tribal wars began to take it's toll on the population; until one tribe chief known as Delgo Legax began a crusade to unite the tribes together in 6,095. Through wars and conquest, he began assimilating conquered tribes, where in the past it was all about eradication, growing his tribe with great strength.

In the year of 6,115 BBY, he finally succeeded in his dream; only to die a few months later. His son, Algon Legax, took control ratifying the combined tribes into an Empire; forming the Legax Dynasty. From that time to present, the Legax family (Dynasty) rules Panatha. In 6,335 BBY, Germo Legax laid the ground work for the first sign of civilization; the birth of Lorvian City.

In 6,915 BBY, a rebellion broke out; testing the might of the Legax Dynasty. Quickly quelled by the army of the Legax Dynasty, it set the planet of Panatha back. However, there is still a growing uneasiness of the citizens toward the Legax Dynasty; some viewing a change needs to be undertaken if Panatha is to ever make it's mark in the galaxy.

Intent

The intent is to add to the sites canon lore on planets. I would like to see the planet flourish, eventually growing and taking an acting role in the galactic community. I personal have plans for the planet, but currently I cannot reveal them (Forthcoming Plot). The reason for a new planet is to give writers, those who elect to write the Epicanthix species, a recognized planet to either write stories or for other writers to use in roleplays.

This is a good start, but there should be a lot more details:

  • Geography: Please elaborate more on all sections. You mention its jungle based, but there seems to also mountains, so how does that effect the climate, are there seasons? How does the rotation effect this, etc. What about these cities? What are they like? How does living on a jungle world effect these places, what makes them so significant? You're building a world, think about the flora and fauna, weather, major landscapes that would be of interest, etc.
  • Population: Same thing, there can be a whole lot more details on culture. The Epicanthix as we currently know are warriors, so they will probably be based on similiar warrior cultures. How did they grow to be who they are today, you're going from their origins to present time (6903). How did they change to who they are now - is the question you should be asking with this.
  • Government: More details can be added here. Economy is going to tell us what they produce, like imports and exports, how tech has an effect on the people, etc.
  • History: Like culture, we need a beginning to present. It might dip into government and culture. A big question of mine would be how does a warrior culture work as a monarchy? History should answer this.

So with this being part of a plot, then it is very important everything is fleshed out in this write up. You don't want your participants to be confused as to what to expect, give them material they can work with.

Once more, I believe you have a great start here, an outline of what you need, now you just need to elaborate on it more. I will be moving this to Workshops so you can continue to work on it, that way, you can also get feedback from members who may have ideas too. Once you believe you have fleshed it out as much as you can, repost it in the Atlas.
