PERSONALITY:
Pan is passionate and determined in everything he does and he's tackled the goal of becoming a Jedi with the same enthusiasm. Every step of the way he's had to battle with his instincts; quick to anger, aggression, distrust. Because of his emotions he's always kept his distance from others, fearing the darkside would sneak up on him. Because of that he's sort of naive and socially awkward and comes across as shy and recluse.
Pan is also fiercely loyal and dedicates himself wholeheartedly to what ever task is at hand. He's extremely protective and has the claws to back it up. He is also a perfectionist and won't quit until he's accomplished what he set out to do.
HISTORY:
Pan was born on the Savannah covered Cathar home world, in one of his people's beautiful tree based cities. His father was a trader and merchant who often traveled off world and his mother was the daughter of one of their clan's elders. His father was the black sheep of the family, less of a warrior and more worldly and interested in the affairs of the galaxy outside their little haven, though he was descended from a line of heroes. He was his parents' only child and they had high hopes for him, dreaming their son might one day be a great warrior and hunter.
When Pan was four years old his father took him with him on one of his excursions, to the bright and bustling hub of Coruscant. After business was taken care of he took his young son to see the sights, intending to instill the boy with a sense of pride in the Galaxy's mighty Republic and values of democracy. It was here that they ran into the Jedi Knight who felt the young Cathar's potential. Pan's mother was hesitant, reluctant to let her child be raised by strangers away from the Cathar ideals but eventually his father won out. Nothing made him prouder than the thought that his boy would be a Jedi, a member of the Order fighting to bring peace to the galaxy. He told him so before the Jedi took him and it was this thought that inspired Pan's vigor and enthusiasm for the task, though at the time he was too young to truly understand what was being asked of him.
Pan focused so hard on being the best Jedi he could be that he forgot to miss his parents, thinking of them only in times when he was alone and eventually their faces faded to a distant memory, though he still often dreamed of the peaceful city among the trees. The Jedi were his family now, his home. He had to fight his natural instincts every step of the way and grew into a shy, oft naive youth. He was too afraid of his own passions to become a socialite though he did make a few fast friends among his fellow Padawans and earned himself a reputation of being quick tempered and gifted with a raw sort of talent for combat.
Lately he spends a great deal of his time meditating and trying to learn patience. He hopes his new Master can help him in finding stability and self control.
