Eddard waited for Elix to arrive at the black site - he had gotten to talking with the woman he had captured from the Old Empire and the two of them had reached something of an understanding. By that he meant that she seemed willing to talk rather than just curse and rage at him.

Hell, she was evening willing to work with him.

Because of that, he had invited the Emperor to this black site building in the heart of Coruscant's slums to discuss with the woman. There was bound to be a lot that she could tell them both and it was hardly like the Empire had a wealth of information about the inner workings of the Old Empire now that they had split entirely and declared war.

When Elix arrived it would be to find Eddard stood by the door to the black site's main room, apartment 576, with the Old Empire Sith acolyte sat in a chair in the middle of the room. She wasn't restrained but she equally wasn't armed.

She wasn't going to be a danger to the Emperor.

Eddard had made the call for Elix to come on down alone because with information and an operation like this? You didn't trust just anyone. But the odds were that this would be a massive boost to the Imperial Republica and he was willing to take a chance on that.

"You comfortable?" he asked the woman with a ghost of a smirk, "Or should I have brought a magazine or something?"

Nothing wrong with talking to the prisoner while they waited for the Emperor after all.

Nymeria had a plan when she became a Sith and left behind her old life. She wasn't going to say that meeting Emperor's hadn't been in her plans, but not quite so soon, and definitely under such circumstances. And yet here she was, in the company of one princeling, about to meet and even bigger one. The Drasts were a name she had grown up hearing, anyone who wasn't living under a rock did. They were celebrities, descendants of the first Sith, the first Empress. But even among them there were some who were in a class of their own. Vrael, the former Dark Lord of the Sith, was one, Elix was another. They were royalty among royalty, and somehow she had ended up in a situation where she was going to meet one of them.

The only damper in the mood was the princeling, the man who had captured her not too long ago. She wasn't sure what to make of him, but he was a means to an end. He was getting her this meeting, and for that she was willing to bear his presence, for now. Later she might dunk his head in a nerf-dung to even the score.

"You didn't, did you? Then what's the point in asking? It's not like you can get me one of those knitting catalogues while we wait, can you?" It was mostly idle banter, trying to pass the time till Elix showed up. Mostly. She did like those knitting catalogues, she was particularly fond of the intricate stitching patterns in them, and would often incorporate them into her outfits. Pity really, having one to flip through would have made time fly a little faster, and made it more productive.

What the hells was taking so long?

When you are bringing potentially war-shaping information to your leader, you would expect they would have the decency to actually show up to receive said information. Eddard sighed a little bit and rubbed a hand over his face. Patience was a virtue and he had acquired it some time ago. Sighing a little bit, Eddard rocked backwards and forwards slightly on his feet before deciding that a strange conversation was better than no conversation.

"... you like knitting?" he asked with a raised eyebrow before glancing away. No sign of Elix yet... "I never got into it. My aunt tried to teach me but it bored me."

He coughed, slightly awkwardly.

"I was always more into cross-stitch... embroidering was always more my speed."
he admitted freely, defensively adding, "But just because I enjoy the precision of expert needlework, does not mean I'm any less of the Sith I was five minutes ago."

Yeah... yeah okay so that declaration was for his own benefit. He glanced back at Nymeria before complaining.

"Besides, who has time for crafts these days, right?"

Wars made people busy.
