NAME: Penny
FACTION: New Jedi Order
RANK: Padawan
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 16
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 1.6 meters (about 5 feet one inch)
WEIGHT: 52 kg (115 pounds)
EYES: blue
HAIR: blonde
SKIN: Peach
CREDITS: 1,000 credits
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: A series of tatooes on her back; had them since she was a baby, no idea what they mean.
FORCE SENSITIVE: YES!!

STRENGTH: She's a young girl, so not so much.
DEXTERITY: I would say pretty agile. Not so much dextrous with her hands, such as picking locks or playing an instrument, but as far as balance and acrobatics she would be exceptional.
CONSTITUTION: Penny is in great health. She's very active and hardly gets sick. Doesn't always eat the healthiest of foods or practice moderation, but she's a kid -- they can get away with that.
INTELLIGENCE: She's very sharp, but not technologically. More survivalist than anything, but she hasn't had much of an opportunity to read or study.
WISDOM: VERY naive. She is intelligent, but doesn't have much common sense. Can be gullible and tricked fairly easily. She's young and inexperienced in the world and with people.
CHARISMA: One of those people that are a little annoying and not taken very seriously but grow on you, despite you not wanting them to. In other words, Penny is slightly annoying until she is gone, and then you miss her.

PERSONALITY:
The glass is always half-full with this chick. Penny is an optimist with the history of misfortune. Subconsciously this was most likely adopted as a survival trait to keep her from giving up early on in life. She can't contain her excitement or emotions, which makes it possible to see what she is thinking just by looking at her face. She's very trusting and loyal to those she considers her friends.
One of her main aspects is her curiosity. When in a new surrounding, or meeting new people, she tends to very talkative and inquisitive. Growing up with hardly anything or anyone, she wants to know everything she can on the things she's missed out on.
Her main drive is acceptance, which leads her to try and prove herself to those she's around. She is very naive and unexperienced in the world, so she is easily talked into things and tricked because of her unfamiliarity of the galaxy and its' customs and workings.

BIOGRAPHY:
Being abandoned at a young age, Penny only has a vague memory of her father before seeing him fly out of sight. His appearance is fuzzy in her mind, barely more than a silhouette, but his voice is still a part of her. His last words to her is her most cherished and guarded secret.
She was left on the little-known planet of Abbaji, a heavily forested planet in the Zuma sector of the Outer Rim, left to fend for herself. At that time, she didn't know where she was or why, just that she had to survive. Her father had left her with a small shelter and a small cache of rations that ended up only lasting three months. She had to learn to live off the land, mainly foraging for food.
After four years of thinking she was the only person on the planet, she had encounter a small tribe of humanoids who had taken her in, and had "earn your keep" outlook. She wasn't very well liked and felt like an outcast, but eventually made a few friends in the tribe. Rakko was her age, son of a hunter. Because of this friendship she started to gain favor in the tribe and got to join in the hunts by Rakko's request.
Being a part of the Gottor-kashi tribe was certainly better than being alone, but she didn't belong. These weren't her people, and this wasn't how she was going to spend the rest of her life. She wanted to find her father, to find out where she had come from and why he did what he did. Rakko slowly realized this truth, and decided to help. He led her to an outpost where she could sneak aboard a cargo ship. She would be able to be with her own kind, and seek her family. If he was still alive. But it wasn't just a cargo ship.
There happened to be a Jedi on this ship scouting the planet and gathering supplies. The Jedi felt her presence and that she was force sensitive, and that is how she became the Padawan she is now!!!
Learning how to use the Force and fight for good, secretly hoping that once she starts exploring the galaxy she will be able to find out more about her past and her father.

Slow Fall
Force Jump
Force Push/Pull (Telekinesis? You know what I mean)

Jedi AFL here, I'm reviewing your profile and it looks good! I'm a little iffy on the Force Shield tbh, but everything else looks pretty good for a first character!

@Ral Aran

It's described in a bunch of the EU books as one of the first thing taught to Sith and Jedi alike. It basically prevents an enemy from using certain force powers such as snatching a lightsaber from your hand in battle, or using force choke.

In one of the books I was reading, Luke was teaching one of his students how to duel, and he surprised his opponent in order for him to use the force to take away his lightsaber.

I assure you it's not what you might be thinking. Like a shield that reflects blaster bolts or anything. It's a basic defense that has to continuously be focused on to prevent certain low end force powers. But I can remove it if it's not acceptable.

Honestly, in my mind, a Sith started off with force choke or a Jedi just ripping away your weapon would be a very real threat and something you couldn't prevent without a sort of shielding. Let me know your thoughts!

And thank you so much for reading through my character!

Thanks for the quick reply, and giving me a well-reasoned response! :)

First off, I am quite aware of the power and it's abilities and when it's trained. The reason I'm iffy on it, is generally we prefer Padawans to only start out knowing a few very very basic powers, like Telekinesis, sense, jump. Right now you've got a little bit more than we normally allow, and Shield seems like the most advanced out of those you've presented on your profile here. The reason for this is to allow the most amount of growth possible to your Jedi. Now, whether you learn a power in your first thread, or not, doesn't really matter to me (so long as it's not Force lightning or some sort of ridiculous power for someone to learn right away). If you can keep the usage of shield to a bare minimum and remember she's not going to be that effective with it, at least without exercising it and getting better with it, I'll allow it.

Oh, okay! That's perfect. I'll take it off my sheet for now until I officially learn it :D

I'm actually quite surprised that you guys let her start off with a lightsaber. Not complaining! :D

I love the help, this place is kinda confusing! Anyone who wants to give me advice or warnings or links to thinks I should be doing, feel free. I won't be offended.
