Plot Outline Submission Template:

1. What is going to happen in your plot?

The point of the plot is for Lin to find a partner and journey to Tython. Once there, the pair will discover lost knowledge that gifts them insight into the abilities of Lightning and Drain Life. After discovering and training, the pair will choose to either share or gift the other the item that granted them the knowledge(possibly a holocron?).

2. What other players will be a part of this?

Myself and Phoenix

3. Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?

A priming planet(Nar Shaddaa or some other outer rim world, only used for the first thread to find a partner), and Tython.

4. Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.


First thread-
Lin seeks to better understand and increase her power
She steals a 'treasure' map off a merchant
Upon examination, the 'map' is dotted with strange symbols
Lin seeks someone to read the map to her(an Exile)
Once the Exile is convinced to help Lin translate, they discover the map is not for 'treasure' but for knowledge lost at the beginning of the hundred years war
They discover the location is on Tython and head there-

Thread 2-

The pair travel to Tython
Once on Tython, the pair will be attacked by Flesh Raiders who saw their ship descend
After fighting them off, they will search for a lost cave or temple where they can find the power they seek
Upon finding the power, the pair will need to fight off ancient security droids guarding it.
They utilize the holocron to learn about the new abilities of lightning and drain.

Thread 3-

They train with their newfound abilities(lightning)
They are attacked again as the flesh raiders wait to ambush the pair outside their ship
Using their new ability, they fight them off.
If the two have been getting along, they both board the vessel and leave
If they haven't been getting along, they will battle here and only one will leave tython on the original vessel, the other is either stranded or killed.
They separate.


5. What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?

To learn/earn Force Lightning and set the groundwork for Force Drain

6. Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.

There are a couple of issues I see here. I have bullet pointed them out below.

• Power level: Force Drain is a power more suited for a level 2 Force user. Even at level 2 it would be difficult to use and in its rudimentary stages. That being said, the groundwork can certainly be laid during level 1 to obtain use of the power at level 2.
• Gaining the power: I would strongly suggest a different way of obtaining the power. While we won't make overt suggestions on plot points, I think there are a few potential avenues that are more compelling than draining rats.
• Thread number: This would need to be at least 2 quality threads.

I see. I will be restructuring the plot, in that case, and I believe I will change the main focus of the plot from force drain to another power(such as force lightning), to instead make laying the groundwork without actually utilizing the power a side-quest of the main plot.

I would like your feedback though on plot points. Plots are not something I am familiar with and any suggestions you could offer would be most appreciative for laying the groundwork for Force Drain.

Would the thread count need to be increased to three for the addition of another ability?

Yes, you'd need to increase the thread count. As far as ideas go, I think there is a lot of cool stuff that can be done around discovering the knowledge lost on Tython (Darkside wise). There are a lot of ways to discover that lost knowledge.

Also, you'll need at least 1 buddy to be part of the plot. You don't have to designate them now but approval would be conditional on finding a friend.

We are almost there to make this work. Holocrons are incredibly rare or dangerous, so it should not be a holocron that is found. It may be cliche but anancient text or lost datapad can serve the same purpose since Lightning and Drain are not incredibly rare powers just difficult and not widespread.

Second, just pick a different planet than Tython. Really almost any other planet could work. Anything on Tython has to be DMed by a staff member and RPing on the planet is currently restricted because of the Force Storms, abominations, etc.
