The sun blared down through the clear blue sky, it was a beautiful day as Syn stared up into the large mountains ahead of her, the sun basking down on her pale white skin. It was warm under the sun, but every gust of wind reminded her that this planet was cold. She wore a thick padded jacket over her usually attire, big snow boots and fingerless gloves. Turning to face the snow fed river she looked down at the fish swimming by, swinging her Lightsaber Wagasa, today with a beautiful red theme over her shoulder to stop the sun beating down on her head. The bright red colour stood out against the fresh spring green of the landscape around her, making Syn easy to spot as she stood upon the shores of the river.

The Acolyte had realised after the party bus that she needed some company at home. It had been awfully quiet when she had gotten home the following week, no excitement, no energy, just the bare walls of her home, the simple things her master had given her and the little machines she had created. Syn needed something living in her life, Syn needed a pet. So she had spent a next two weeks trialling through the Holoweb searching for the right thing, it needed to be cute, dangerous, exotic, unique, cuddly, friendly, deadly. All the perfect attributes for a pet it had come down to two choices, but this one sounded more fun. So here she was on Arkania, looking for a Dragon. "Now where are those tardy little monkeys?"

Anai had lately been wondering just what had been going on in her life. While she had found herself a new home in the form of the sith empire and the academy in which she lived, she felt so...strange. Things were so different, and, despite her best efforts, she couldn't seem to blend in and play nice with the other acolytes. Hell, not too long ago she had went to a party to try and understand what the other acolytes did for fun, but she ended up being attacked, shot, the ground a little bit too hard and she also need to get another acolyte a dress after the one that was given to her got ruined.

However, not too long after she had regained her strength, she had been given a chance to do something she was good at: hunting. Another girl she had met at the party, the strange blue one, had asked for her assistance in order to gain a pet from a very formidable species. Grabbing one of those alive would be a challenge the Kaleesh acolyte would not pass up. She only asked for one thing in return: The head of a dragon, should they kill one of them if it came to it.

Wearing her traditional Kaleesh clothes under an outfit better designed to go deep inside the mountains, the Kaleesh standing not too far away from Syd, her cycler rifle on her back alongside some ammunition and her lightsaber on her side. Anai looked at the mountains that they would soon visit, thinking of plans about how they could go about getting one of the smaller dragons or an egg and, more importantly, how they should fight if they came across an adult. The woman had been educating herself about the dragons since Syd told her about them, so she already had a few ideas. "...I hope you have brought your mountain climbing equipment, because it's going to take a while before we reach them." She did, indeed, bring with her some mountain equipment, it was wise to be well equipped, she just hoped the others either knew what they were doing or didn't mind to do exactly as Anai told them.

Why had Soleil agreed to this particular adventure with a possibly-crazy person and a Kaleesh he barely know? For the fuck of it, obviously. Also, dragons! Sol'd never seen an Arkanian dragon in person, obviously, and he reaaallly wanted to. So here he was. But where he, right now, specifically?

A shadow suddenly passed beneath the surface of the river, fish scattering- all except one. Like a shorter, skinnier, off-brand imitation of a certain famous spy, Soleil broke upward through the water and began walking up onto shore. A three-pronged fishing spear with some kind of local fish stuck on the end was slung over his shoulder. His only clothing for the moment was a water-friendly pair of diving shorts, droplets of water glistening off in like gems in the noonday sun, water-weighed curly hair sticking messily to his head. Sol didn't seem overly bothered by the chilly air.

Oh, and a pair of cheap-looking swim goggles he'd got from a 1 Crown store. Dark brows in surprise as he noticed the other two had also shown up already, a hand taking off the goggles, revealing the green of his eyes. His gills closed tight on his neck as he waved cheerily toward the other two acolytes and walked over to a particular tree by the shore. Sol'd stored his clothes and gear pack securely under a pile of leaves and stuff. He stuck the bottom of the spear in the sand and got to putting actual clothes back on over the shorts, starting with his gel-layered neck covering he zipped on over his gills.

Almost nothing he wore fit him quite right except the boots, which he'd stolen at some point. On the plus side, he looked ready for hiking and climbing. More or less.

Syn was spinning the Wagasa in her hands, blowing a chilly breeze across her body as she waited. First to appear was the giant alien lady, 'wow she was big' Syn thought as she approached armed to the teeth, with a bag full of gear apparently. She cocked her head to one side when she mentioned the climbing equipment. Turning to face the mountains behind and then back to 'Tiny' she smiled. "I thought I could borrow yours?" She asked genuinely.

Although before Tiny could answer a dark shadow appeared in the river, followed by their third companion for todays frolic through the wilderness. Oh, my, god is that gills, this kid has gills how amazing. Dropping her Wagasa on the floor she almost sprinted after the young man as he went to get changed. "Oh my god, you have gills. Why do you have gills?" She began pestering getting extremely close to the man as he dressed himself. "What's that for?" She said pointing to the gel-layered neck covering.

Gone was any interest in Tiny or the Dragon at this moment in time Sol had her entire attention. "Do you like struggle to breathe in air? If I covered your mouth do you just breath through their? What if I cover your gills?"

Well, turns out the blue haired girl was...exactly the kind of strange person Anai expected her to be. She thought it could have been the alcohol at the party that made her strange, but turns out it just made her a little stranger than usual. That being said, the Kaleesh stared at her blankly as she asked that question...Some things she had grabbed for the journey could be borrowed, others? Not so much, but it was too late to go back and get more stuff for Syn, so the Kaleesh girl let out a small sigh before nodding "We can share...As long as you also take turns carrying it with me."

Although not as expressive as Syn, Anai also tilted her head a little bit, staring at Sol's gills as as he got out of the water, the Kaleesh didn't realize he had those back at the party...But then again, he seemed to hide it behind that covering. Not only that, Anai doubted she would even notice such a thing when she ended in quite a bad situation back then, a killer headache for five different reasons being the cause of a bit of a memory loss of that night, not about anything quite important, but she didn't remember some details.

For now, Anai simply waved back at the boy before turning around and looking at the mountain ahead, making sure her weapons and equipment were ready while Syn asked Sol questions in the background. How long would it take them to reach a dragon's next, she wondered? Hopefully Mowgli had brought those chocolate brownies for this ocassion as well, she came to like them quite a bit, not knowing, of course, that they were the reason she got high.

Sol hadn't anticipated being bombarded with questions while putting on pants, but there he was with exactly that happening. He didn't seem the least bit uncomfortable with the other acolyte's close proximity for whatever reason. Rather he was just questionably equipped to actually answer Syn's questions at all.

He decided to get his shirt on first before addressing them since he needed hands free to communicate. Sol held up a single finger in front of Syn's face, then pointed to the water with a bemused shrug, pantomiming breathing. Obviously, for breathing underwater. Then he wrung some water out of his thick, black hair and rubbed the fingers over his neck covering where the gills were concealed, hoping that covered that. Again he pantomimed breathing air- no problems there- and the last two questions he answered rather straightforwardly.

Sol pointed at Syn, covered his mouth, then moved to his gills, and finally punched his fist into his palm with a very serious expression. Touching the gills was discouraged and he wasn't afraid to clock a lady.

Once all his stuff was together the silent acolyte chewed on a bit of dry squid, snapped his fingers to get people's attention, and pointed toward the mountain with a grin. He was eager to be off!
