Petition- Make Kajidic Velora usable by PCs

Hullo, I'm Kraken, and I would like you to consider signing on to make Velora a usable clan, replacing Besadii.

Due to the civil war now kicking off, I doubt Besadii will be much use, and another clan should rise to take it's place in the cartel scene. I feel that clan should be Velora.
This would give a new "flavor" of clan to PCs, as Velora is generally considered the more brutal of all the clans.

At the moment I think that Velora would be a better fit for the list of playable clans because of a few reasons.

• Besadii is hitting the fan.

• Velora is the most interesting clan I feel

• It could be used as a way to generate many new missions, and story arcs detailing Velora's "rise to the top".

• Lot's of PC growth could occur from characters being switched to Velora, or dealing with the fallout of Velora's actions etc.

I agree with both of the above. Even if Besadii doesn't need replacing, I still like the idea Velora becoming playable.

Just my two cents here, but why not let the civil wars play themselves out till the reset and then toss in Velora to pick up the pieces.

If people are interested in playing Velora, more power to them, I say. But I don't think Besadii should just sorta go away, or that Velora just should sorta take its place. The Civil War on the whole doesn't seem to have attracted much attention, at least in a way that would make it much of a fight. So maybe we could try something different? Once Anjiliac's gotten what it wants, it probably won't care much what happens to Besadii, or likewise if Velora tries to knock them out of their slot.

So instead of having either clan replace each other, we could make it a sort of running mini-gang war for a while. Nothing where a bunch of people just sort show up, and shooting starts, but little things. Street fights, moving against spice warehouses, GTA/Saints Row, kinda stuff. Not that the kind of thing that leads to half the Cartel gettign wrecked in burned, but a little, intense, gang war. The basic missions would be in the hands of Anjliiac and Desijilic, while Velora & Besadii would offer maybe an 'event' or two at a time. That event could be smaller (like 2 vs 2) PvP (as friendly as is wanted), or difficult NPC'd missions. Both Besadii and Velora wouldn't be automatically assigned anyone, it'd be something that people would have to choose of their own will as being in either would constitute a greater level of risk. This would mean there probably wouldn't be as many many people in either (hence why I'm saying only an event or two with small amounts of participants), but transfers could be accepted into them, with the IC consequences of which differing depending on how involved you really were prior to changing your flags. It'd basically be a higher risk, higher reward internal arena, that anyone could participate in if they wanted to, but wouldn't necessarily be forced into them, and wouldn't be the biggest going on in the Cartel with full scale signups, and tournaments, and what have you. IC wise it would pretty much just be another gang war that Anjiliac, Desijilic, and Komthra are staying neutral in, so long as it doesn't get out of hand, which if that's where things head could lead us back to a full scale Civil War plot, but on a more a natural route.

So just a quick bump here, I want to ask. In a vacuum, would you all (and by this mean all members of the faction, not just those who have posted in this) be interested in playing out a Besadii-Velora conflict? Would you be willing to either sign on, on the side of one or the other, and participating in the aforementioned high risk events? I know I'm probably going to do some changes to Tarallak so I can throw him at this on the Besadii side of things, since it seems like we've already got some people on Velora's side.

IC, Axe is more or less happy where he is as far as loyalties go. But if there is an arc where my slug wants me to sabotage the efforts of another slug then Axe is available.
