Could someone edit this pic to change the color of the lightsabers from red to purple or green.

I tried it out but this is as good as I could get (just cant get rid of the dirty shading on the edges.).

I think that looks fine, lol. Also, that's how it would realistically look. I'll take a crack at it when I have a second if you like though.

for saber effects there are more than a few ways to get a good effect. the most simple in my book is to simply create a new layer and take a brush that is appropriate for the size of the hilt... the more " feathered" brushes are best but you could blur it after alittle if you want... but simply create the straight line, if you want a point on it you simply erase the tip alightly with a feathered eraser...

after that go to layers, layer styles, outer glow, and adjust the tributes until you get a nice haze keeping glow as a " screen" unless your working on a light background then you may change that to " normal" ( as with the full image of Sal devra I did in my characters, you can see her back ground was light so I had to make the layer normal and not a screen

Why the black chunkyness around him? No offense, I'm just wondering why leave it there.

Oh, never tried that. I just selected the saber part, made a new layer and adjusted the color. Gonna give this a try for sure. Cheers!

np:

the same tactic can be applied to alot of things, as you see in this , I used the same tricks on creating the lights of her goggles, and sniper rifle, it's really a matter of how concentrated or diffused you make the glow. and you can get nice effects
( though difference here is that this is a from scratch painting, not a manipulation so it was easier to work around with exact lighting)

Although, may want to put the saber layers over it again...

Simple fix, the green is okay, just re-did the purple to get the haze back and add the flare brush

( I really should copy my massive brush collection someday for others who want to add onto the collections)

to be fair, I should properly credit " noveria" and " welcome to afterlife" to some wonderful swrp'rs for being the models for those.

but, I'm always looking to learn more and get better. still a long road ahead of me so doing little things here and there like recolours or altering keeps me on my toes and lets me try new things, so I'm always happy to do them when I can.

ALso can be contacted on MSN for requests or steal brushes off me or whatever, I don't bite....much....

Depending on the quality and the effect you want, retexturing a sabre can sometimes be rather easy. I did a reskin for my one sith character from my old group, and while her skin detail (being part plant-based) didn't nearly come off as well, her blade looked about right for the effect I wanted.

Also, where did you get that two-bladed Jedi guy anyway? He looks cool, and I like the coloring/drawing style.

But aye, this is impressive work Adena.
