Serie had been planning on some day joining the council, but it wasn't until recently she had truly gotten the idea stuck in her head. She sat up at night thinking about who she could eliminate and then take their place at the council table. It wasn't an easy choice to be sure. She was stuck chowing between the strongest members of the Sith Empire. Of that there was no question.

She had decided on the war master, the exceptional duelist, for her prey. But she wasn't about to make it a fair fight. She was much to smart for that. Despite her skill and natural talents, the woman was every but her equal in strength in the force and in combat. A risk she did not take lightly.

Thankfully, she had powerful friends and aquantices, and she was going to need them for this particular endeavour. She had left a message for none other than Darth Evandus to meet her in her private chambers on Korriban. She had also told him that secrecy would be needed in the end as well, which was the reason for their location. And of course she told him it was strictly business as well, not wanting him to get the wrong impression.

While she awaited him, she began reading through her book once more, she already had want minimal amount of materials she needed, and was just mesmerizing the spell before he arrived, which she hoped would be soon.

Evandrus did not get summoned.

People didn't summon him because of who he was - he was the High Judge, he summoned people, they didn't summon him. The only people who had the right to summon him were the Empress and the Dark Lord. Anyone else who attempted to summon him would find out why that was a bad decision.

Friends however?

They could ask and he was unlikely to refuse them. Hence why when Serie Fond asked him to meet her in her chambers on Korriban he sent a message to agree to meet with her. Still dressed in his Sith armour, he approached her door and pressed the bell to be admitted.

He was armed, naturally, because this was Korriban.

And because he wasn't entirely convinced she didn't want to mix pleasure with the proposed business despite their previous interactions.

Serie opened the door quickly and allowed to enter before closing it behind him. She handed him the small bag of contents before grabbing her own and clearing off the table. She then began to set them about in the correct order.

Thank you so much for coming. I haven't been sleeping well lately you know? Nothing serious, just my mind won't stop going. Maybe you can help me talk it out?

Evandrus stepped into her quarters with a raised eyebrow behind his helmet but deciding that he was probably ok to remove his helmet. He placed his helmet down on the side as he passed it, chuckling a little bit as he held the small bag in hand for a moment. He peered inside.

Huh... so it was going to be one of those evenings huh?

Well if it was going to be one of those evenings then it was a good thing he was wearing his armour. He always channelled the Dark Side better when he was in full Sith Lord armour he thought.

"It's alright." he responded with a small shrug before frowning a little bit, "Nothing too serious I hope? If it is then I know some tricks for dreamless sleeping."

He'd developed half of them himself since the creation of his own mental technique to be honest.

"Well the helmet is off so I'm Cregan right now so... sure. What do you want to talk about?"

Serie tentatively minded to repeating the words she had memorized for a bit before she pulled a small vial out and held it in her hands. She closed her eyes as the spell began to initiate.

Nothing too serious no, just that, well.. I can't get my mind to stop. Constantly, all day and night, it never shuts off. It's like, having a thousand possible futures play in your head all at once. And it never stops. How does someone like you deal with it?

Dreamless sleeping huh? Like the opposite of a lucid dream? I suppose I could give that a try. I appreciate the help, really I do. You're a good friend, Cregan, if you don't mind me calling you that?

She said, somewhat monotone in her tone. Something not usual for her. If anything it showed how serious she was about it. The sleepless nights were staying to get to her. Sleep deprivation was not a fun thing, even for a Sith master.

Evandrus had never specialised in Dark Side sorcery but he knew enough to get him by. Hell, most of his knowledge of it was in poisons because during his time as a Jedi Shadow he had been expected to know how to try and counter them. Annoyingly enough, most of them were variations of "cut off the effected limb" which was annoying.

But good for their purposes here he supposed.

"I focus on the ones closest." he admitted with a small shrug, "I focus on the present and I focus on one vision, or dream, or the future I want to achieve and I take steps to secure it in the present. There's no point in seeing all possible futures to me - the only thing that you need to do is find a vision of the future you want and move to secure it. Any other visions or dreams or whatever? Ignore them. They will not come true because you will force your selected one to become the new truth."

He nodded,

"Yes - I find I have nightmares whenever I am sleeping... unless I'm in hyperspace or wrapped around my lover." he admitted with a small shrug before smiling, "I think we've spent enough time together that, when we're not in public, you can call me Cregan, Serie."

Evandrus glanced at her,

"I can give you a dreamless sleep tonight if you wish." he told her before clarifying, "There's a Force technique I learned that only works on others... I used it to help Abigail get some sleep too."

Serie nodded as he spoke. She had some difficulty concentrating on what he was saying along with concentrating on the spell but all seemed to be going well so far. She had heard him say to call him cregan and it felt a bit strange, but she figured she could get used to it fairly quickly.

I think I can do that, Cregan.

She said before placing the vial between the other objects on the table. She then turned her head to look at him and smiled gently. She didn't have a lot of friends like him she felt like. Sure there were those that tried to get friendly with her, but he was much different from them, which was probably why they had become closer recently.

I think I might enjoy that actually, I think I remember Abi mentioning it once now that you mention it. If you wouldn't mind? After were done with this could you use the technique on me?

Evandrus could tell that Serie wasn't really paying any attention to him and that was alright - they were in the middle of an important spell after all. Like he said, he wasn't much for sorcery but he knew enough to observe and make sure that she wasn't about to make any really bad decisions or mistakes.

Part of the reason why he placed his hand over an ingredient she was going for before gesturing to a different one. They were both required but they needed to be in the right order. Chuckling a little bit, he nodded,

"Well then that's fine - I'll make sure to use it on you before I leave, yeah?" he suggested as he cast an eye over the spell, "So... I'm only vaguely aware of what this spell does... is it done yet?"

Serie smiled and giggled nervously as she realized she almost messed up the order of the ingredients. She rolled her eyes at her own absent mindness. She rubbed one of her eyes like she was as tired as she actually felt.

If you could please that'd be amazing. And Its fairly simple to be honest. It's a undetectable poison, not even someone as strong as I am couldn't detect it. Don't worry, I've got just the person I'm going to use it on. If you wouldn't mind meeting me again here in the morning? Just a few more things I need some help with, from a trustworthy friend.
