Anyone interested in helping me create an independent faction thats a band of pirates based on a small desert planet in the Outer Rim. Haven't come up with a name yet nor have I decided on the name or species of the leader. If your interested please post.

There were many pirate groups in the past. They were generally small , unorganized, and fought amongst themselves. One person, A Nautolan pirate by the name of Rhaaygon Gaaz, was sick of the weak ineffective pirates and sought to make his own band of pirates. Rhaaygon rose through the ranks of a pirate group and gathered many followers. Finally, he decided it was time to breakaway. He and his followers left the group and gathered supporters from other pirate groups and casinos and bars across the Outer Rim. They stole some ships and restored an abandoned underground base on Geonosis.

They began recruiting more members and attacking ships. They started attacking individual merchant ships and boarding them, stealing their cargo and giving the choice to join them or die. As they grew they began attacking larger targets like groups of ships, or Republic transports, being sure to leave none alive to tell of their exploits. They have gathered alot of ships and men and now can be found after major battles cleaning up leftovers, or even in the heat of the battle picking off damaged ships and stragglers.

Command Structure

Leaders

Captain- Leader of Rhaaygon's Raiders.

Second-in-Command- The Captain's right hand man.

Fleet

Admiral- Leader of the Fleet.

Rear-Admiralr- Second-in-Command of the Fleet.

Lieutenants- Lead starfighter squadrons and helps with strategizing.

Pilot- Starfighter pilot.

Ground Forces

General- Leader of the Ground Forces.

Colonel- Second-in-Command of the Ground Forces.

Lieutenants- Leaders of squads.

Grunts- Fight ground battles and help storm enemy ships.

Other

Engineers- People that build and repair ships.


Tactics and Goals


Rhaaygon's Raiders are relatively new. They seek money and glory. They wait for enemy ships to appear then strike quickly and efficiently, surrounding the ships, taking out the engines, then storming the ships claiming them as their own. They often show up during or after major battles hoping to take care of left over ships.

Equipment Overview


Rhaaygon's Raiders have a vast array of stolen and upgraded starships including: The Raider, a heavily armed frigate used as their capital ship, 3 medium Star Cruisers, 6 Corvettes, 20 modified Freighters and Assault Ships, and several hundred Starfighters. The pirates are allowed to use their own ships if they wish and Rhaaygon's Raider's Fleet is steadily growing. They often piece together different starfighters that have been badly damaged in battle. Their ground forces are equipped with whatever guns or armor they can find.


Base of Operations, Manpower, and Funding

Rhaygon Raider's are based on Geonosis. They have a large underground base where most of the Pirates live and their ships stay.

They have about a thousand men, 700 in Fleet 300 in Ground Forces, and their numbers are growing. Most of their members are thugs and lowlifes.

They have enough money to take care of the base and care for the ships. Depending on how well they are doing they have different amounts of money.

The Rules

The Rules of Rhaaygon's Raiders are simple and easy to follow.
1: Never betray the pirates.
2: Obey your superiors.
3:Rhaygon's Raider's come first.

You really got to offer more than this if someone's supposed to help you out here.Otherwise, it seems like you want them to do all the work.

Create the concept, put it up, wait for people to join.
That's how I created my independent Faction.

There's a couple desert planets where you could base your pirates. Tatooine is one though it has forces of both the sovereign guard, and the Hutts. I doubt either would appreciate a pirate base there. Also, Geonosis is nearby. It has the beginnings of the Slaves to the Dark Side. I also doubt they would appreciate pirate bases. Then, there are a bunch of other planets like Saleucami, Iego, Bandomeer and others which could serve as bases. They'd be in the Hutt sphere but might not be directly controlled.

We can decide on a planet later. I don't really want to make my own planet because there are already alot of planets, and I don't want to put it on Tatooine because there are lots of things there. It might be cool to fight with the Slaves of the Dark Side on Geonosis.

I don't know I thought it would be cool. They could also help storm enemy ships and stuff.

Navy sounds a bit formal for pirates aswell but i cant think of anything better

Just a quick heads-up, you're going to need precise numbers for your fleet and ground personnel, otherwise the faction admins won't approve your faction when you're ready to actually post it in the independent faction boards.

Also, I'd suggest avoiding a planetary base and space station combo. I'd pick one or the other; starting out with both will draw loads of undue attention. Better yet, use an asteroid base; lots of natural defenses and it'd make your faction difficult to find and attack. [Of course, the staff may want you to start with just your ships, in which case you'll have to get your base through a RP'd out and approved event.]
