There is a Pirate Base that are harassing and stealing from shipments bound from the Sutwaki and Brilem Mines. Our job today is to take out the pirates and destroy the base to prevent other pirate gangs from utilizing the base.

The opposition will be dice rolls. A dice thread will be made when characters from either Independent, GA, or both factions join in.

It is late local time. The sky is pitch black save for the spot light that shined up in the air from the pirate base and lightning that shot across the sky during the raging storm. Yes it is risky to stage an attack during a storm as well during the late night hours. But Tycho suspects that the pirates will not see it coming. So it is perfect.

Kneeling behind a large boulder that blocked him from view of the sentries walking along the perimeter of the base. The rebel officer watched through the thermal scope mounted on his Westar Carbine to figure out when the perfect time to move in will be.

If his timing is right the guards will be switching out in two minutes. Giving him and others with him a window to get into the base without being spotted. Hopefully.

He will tell his partners just as much, "Alright in a couple minutes. If they stay consistant with changing the guards. We will have a window to move in. We have to move fast though. Any questions?" The General will state briefly. Keeping it short and to the point.

Quolon scowls under his hood, which was now saturated with rain water. Whose idea was it to attack during the night and in a storm? He wonders to himself, looking through the trees at the base they were to attack and destroy. He hears the speech from a nearby rebel, nodding along with the rest of the men. They mobilize. There are a dew murmurs from the men but they are soon approaching.

The guards mill about, and suddenly go indoors. There must be a shift change, he thinks to himself. He had to admit he hadn't thought of that. Strategy wasn't exactly among Quolon's skillset. He moves a hand down, almost involuntarily, checking his saber was there even though he knew it was.

There was a hint of shame in the back of Davis' mind after realizing he was once again fighting fellow pirates. There used to be a time when two pirate crews met each other on the spacelanes they exchanged good luck messages and promised to drink some Corellian Rum together the next time they were on Atlas. Crewless, Davis was beginning to feel more like a hunter of pirates.. one hoping he wouldn't run into his parents..

His R-5 blaster pistol in his right hand and his Scout HUD fixated on the sentries. They didn't look familiar to Davis, which was a relief. "No questions, General Draykon." He was wet and cold, fighting the urge to shiver and he wasn't entirely sure the general heard him over the loud thunder that roared through the nearby skies during his reply to Tycho, but he was ready - ready as could be, anyway.

Next he saw was the sentries heading towards the door. This was the moment, right? emerging from behind the boulder, Davis dashed from cover to cover towards the large durasteel structure and when he finally disabled the zoom function on his HUD he stopped and knelt behind a few large rocks, before raising his blaster pistol.

If the General wasn't wearing his helmet he wouldn't have been able to hear Jan as the rebel acknowledged. The other men were either silent or said very little. No matter. With the guards now starting to head inside it is time to get moving.

As Davis cut across, Tycho did as well with his Westar Carbine raised ready for use. The man came to a stop at a boulder that was just outside the doorway that strangely remained open. Just inside Tycho could count five guards just inside, possibly getting ready to head out into the raging storm for their shift. As he picked out his targets he will indicate how many guards there are to the other rebels.

Looking through his scope Tycho picked out two targets that are standing right next to each other. Holding his rifle steady the General fired off two bolts. One for each target. Which they will strike true, taking out the two guards he targeted. Only three guards left.

If the other two can take out the remaining guards then they can get inside and unleash havoc on the pirates inside the base. That is if the remaining guards are taken out.

Davis fired the second he saw the general's bolts strike true. Loud thunder roared again and lightning cracked, but somehow his aim was better than ever and his shot hit a pirate in the face. The remaining two guards were startled by the sudden attack and couldn't see anything in the darkness of the stormy night, thus they didn't even unholster their own blasters and instead chose to try and drag their dead friends to safety, still seeming in denial that their friends, who they had just shared a drink with, were already dead before they'd hit the ground.

Davis emerged from cover and dashed further towards the compound, confident that the others in the rebel strike group would take care of the remaining two guards, and upon reaching its durasteel walls pressed his back against it. His adrenaline levels were shooting through the roof now and he caught himself already hyperventilating. "Calm down, Davis-" he told himself as the rain splashed violently on his helmet and made it even more difficult to focus on the task at hand. "-I know this isn't what you're used to-" his voice was insecure and of a higher pitch than usual, most likely because as a pirate himself he'd been all about the parlay option that presented itself nine out of ten times. These pirates weren't from Atlas, however, and the Galactic Alliance had a reputation of violently cracking down on piracy instead of talking to them. Kriff, you'd almost think the pirate chose the wrong team to cheer for. "-but it isn't like this is your first rodeo."

Quolon rushed forward as the other troopers advanced. He took his saber in his hand, but did not ignite it yet. He had to choose the right moment to reveal himself, it was likely the sight of a jedi would demoralise the opponent. As two guards dragged their fallen allies, they looked up and their hands moved toward their blasters, Quolon's thumb moved to the button of his saber but a grenade had fallen in front of him, presumably thrown by the other guard. Before he can react the force of the explosion had forced him backward. He landed hard and in a heap, and could taste the copper-like taste of blood in his mouth.

He coughed and got up, his ribs were bruised but he should be okay.
He took a moment to focus and phase the cold and pain out of his mind and body with the Force. The rain was getting heavier and the lightning strikes sounded nearer and nearer, they only added to the mosaic of noise created by the battlefield. Luckily the explosion had got him out of sight of the two guards and the other troopers could take them out in thier advance. He looked into the distance to where they were stationed, some of the troopers going down to the fire of the guards, who were ow highly on their guard. Well, this could have gone better, Quolong thought to himself.
