DESCRIPTION
Originally designed by BlasTech for one of their signature weapons, the DL-44, blaster pistol conversion kits have become common among other weapon companies. A conversion kit consists of an extended barrel attachment, scope, bipod, and stock designed to convert a standard, medium damage blaster pistol into a long-range carbine weapon. The parts are extremely lightweight and portable, making them easy to carry, while also being durable enough to survive rugged environments. Installing or removing the parts from this kit takes several seconds, making it difficult to do in the middle of a fight, and the kit is designed so that the blaster will only fire when all the parts are installed or removed. You cannot fire the blaster halfway through the conversion process.

Conversion kits increase the effective range of a pistol by 100 meters, to a maximum of 150 meters, but inefficiencies caused by the barrel extension and fittings decrease the rate of fire to 1 shot ever second and reduce the overall ammunition capacity by 10 shots. The kit also doesn't change the speed, force, or stopping power of the bolts, instead only increasing the weapon's range from a pistol to a carbine.

LEGALITY
Legal. This device only converts a legal type of blaster weapon into another legal blaster weapon, so a converted pistol qualifies as a standard blaster rifle.

INTENT
To codify a cool weapon modification from the Solo movie.

RESTRICTIONS
The conversion kit only works with semi-automatic blaster pistols that deal medium damage and stun, and is not compatible with any modifications due to how the pieces of the kit connect to the blaster. This means you cannot fit underbarrel grapple launchers or magnetic accelerators to the pistol while in carbine form.
