Open Pokemon: Hoenn (Interest Check)

[The Good Doctor]

A diverse Pokemon roleplay thread. What I had in mind was less mechanics from the game, and more the anime feel. This RP would take place in the Hoenn Region in the Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire timeline. Join with other players in RPing a pokemon experience. Will you join up with others? Become rivals? Maybe rise up the ranks all on your own? Regardless, Fight through all the Gym Leaders and earn the Gym badges! watch out for Team Magma and Aqua. Once you encounter pokemon in the wild! Going to catch them all? Your main goal is to obtain all the gym badges, test your mettle against the Elite Four, and if you can do that, you will take on the Champion.

Some rules for others

• I will have a small template for characters. Can be as detailed as you want!
• Characters can start with up two pokemon in their first evolutionary stage. (Mega Evolutions don't count)
  • For example you can start with a Chamander, but not a Charmeleon, or Charizard.)
  • You also can't start out with a Pokemon that has no other evolution (Kangaskhan).
  • No starting out with Legendary or Mythical pokemon.
  • These starter pokemon can otherwise be outside the Hoenn Pokedex.
• Although you can stick with the Hoenn Pokedex, I'm not going to be strict about sticking to it, and the locations where pokemon are normally find.
  • It's fine if you encounter pokemon from other regions.
  • With that being said, please do it within reason, same with any pokemon you might encounter during the LP. No finding a Magikarp in tall grass, and you most likely aren't going to find a Dragonite at your starting location.
• Littleroot Town is normally the starting point for trainers in the Hoenn Region. Although your character doesn't have to be from Hoenn or start in Littleroot Town. Your character can be from the Kalros Region for example, and then start elsewhere in the Hoenn Map.
• No evolving your pokemon until you get your first Gym Badge
• Map

Biography: Hailing from Canalave City in the Sinnoh Region, Colton was raised by retired pokemon trainers. Colton aspired to be a Pokémon champion. Colton has shown an affinity with Steel-type pokemon. Now that the Hoenn League is getting fired up, After being gifted a Beldum and a Piplup he got as his 'offical' starter, he would make his way to the Hoenn Region, getting a Hoenn Pokedex from Professor Birch.

Hey, I'm Tye. I'm sure you've heard it a million times, but I'm going to be the next League champion. Believe it. I'm from Unova, Castelia City to be exact, and managed to land in Hoenn in time for the League thanks to my brother, Matt. Matt's a Pokemon Ranger who's working on some secret thingy with a dude named Birch, I don't really care, it sounded kinda boring, so while he's busy being a nerd, I'm gonna take the gym challenge. That'll show our parents who the good son is, right, Oshie?

Oh, right, my partner is an Oshawott. I got Oshie from Professor Juniper a couple weeks before we left and we've been thick as thieves since. He's a little slice of home, but he's kinda shy. Luckily, I'm a lot, so we balance each other nicely. My second pal was a gift from my brother, I call her Scruff, but most would just call her Rufflet. Scruff is a special case. Rufflet are super hard to raise, Matt say's if I do a bad job he'll take her back, but I think he's bluffing.

He is bluffing, right?

Welp, I'm supposed to meet up with Professor Birch soon and get the whole spheal on what it takes to challenge the Elite four, so... I guess this is how my story begins... Wish me luck?
