The Free Worlds Alliance and the New Republic collapsed? That means there are lots of worlds alone out there. The ISC is still around, emerging from the war with the Empire as the victor. The power of the ISC has been proven time and time again.

Seizing the opportunity, the Governor of Opportunity has arranged an open invitational for now-independent worlds that were former FWA/Republic worlds, Senators/Diplomats/.etc that attend could apply and make a case for ISC membership, potentially enjoy the perks/boons/benefits that come that come with being a member of the Systems Consortium.

Of course, membership isn't guaranteed, the ISC reserves the right to reject anyone they don't want in. So ISC governors have been invited to evaluate members who are applying to join, as well as the ISC President (@Sreeya) and the Vice President (@Altaris)

Hugo tried to foster a welcome atmosphere here and in the messages out. Maybe people who started off on the wrong foot with the ISC could be given a second chance? That's possible. Maybe for certain ones, like a certain Khagante, membership is very unlikely.

But for prospective worlds looking to join the ISC and become part of something greater, an open invitational like this won't happen often, so if they want to apply for membership, this would be the best chance to join.

In the grand chambers of Naboo in a building in Theed, with a number of large tables, Hugo would take his seat, followed by his litigator droid. He arrived early, overseeing workers getting things ready. He would take his seat as he would await for others to show up.

[Galek Ordalos]

Spirits were especially high amongst the ISC executive council these days, Peace negotiations were nearly finalized with the reformed Empire - bringing their months-long conflict to its rightful conclusion. The collapse of the New Republic and Free Worlds Alliance only further cemented the Consortium had the dominant power within the known Galaxy, and opened the door for a multitude of diplomatic negotiations to take place.

Galek was, as expected, thoroughly pleased by the effort Governor Parasini had organized. Opportunity was a prime example of the benefits of Consortium memberships, transformed from a nameless backwater to an industrial power on the rise. The Vice President could think of no one better to lead the effort in making that case for the rest of the Galaxy.

His shuttle and escort had arrived on Naboo earlier that evening - making the Conference a priority in his otherwise busy schedule. The Vice President was dressed in the regal style of his homeworld - donning a white Sherwani with golden accents, coupled with a dupatta in rich purple. The color scheme was deliberate, designed to mirror the violet of Consortium banners that lined the audience chamber where the meeting was scheduled to take place.

Strolling towards the main table, Galek extended his hands towards Hugo in greeting. "Governor Parasini. It's a pleasure." While they’d met over Holo-Calls for official business, it was their first opportunity to be introduced in person.

While the others continued to filter into the chamber, Galek slid into his reserved seat - folding his hand neatly onto the table in front of him.

[Silvi Velt-Morata]

Silvi had handed the invitation to Carrick, but all the same knew it would be in her best interests to attend. Through the program through Theed University's leadership Senate, she was able to attain her own invitation and arrived just shortly after the Vice President himself.

Dressed modestly, in a silver beaded dress in the vintage of her mother's style, Silvi Velt entered with head held high, short white hair styled with a set of silver laurel leaves at her temples, and a light silvery cloak hanging from her shoulders. Perhaps she would meet her boss tonight, perhaps not. But just in case, she came prepared for Carrick's arrival. But networking was always key, and the rising Senate aspirant would do her best to do that very thing.

She would wait for a little while to see if Carrick would make an appearance, and to have a chance to greet Governor Parasini and the Vice President, but not while the two were greeting one another. The night was long; she could bide her time for now.

[Aelah lleuad]

It was incredibly uncommon for an Annfyn to be away from their home planet. The isolated planet ruled by a queen has kept all outsiders away in order to preserve their way of life, but some have begun to fear whether or not they are able to maintain this barrier. Near Aelah's homeworld, Annwfyn, was Endor, a planet currently controlled by the Empire. The last time the Empire was around they subjugated the planet. The people of Annwfyn wouldn't see a chance at freedom until the rebel victory during the battle of Endor sparked them to fight back.

The House of Ileud had concerns that they may fall under the Empire's rule again, and saw no other way but to ask for outside help. The rest of the houses and the queen pushed the concerns away, stating that Annwfyn has been uniquely independent for a millennia. Thus the head of House Ileud took it upon hisself to take care of the problem. However, an Annfyn noble would never sully themselves and lower their pride to even meet an outsider, except one. Although she wasn't a parliament member, Aelah was a member of the house and was chosen to attend an open invitation meeting with the ISC. Besides, her residency in Theed made her the most obvious choice.

Aelah arrived wearing a white floral dress with her hair wrapped in a bun. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't nervous, but who wouldn't be? With her head high and poker-face on, Aelah stepped into the room making her way towards the main tables. Immediately she noticed the Vice President sitting at the main table, sitting alongside the man who put this event together: Governor Parasini. Aelah didn't recognize the lady but she admired the beautiful white dress.

She gave a curtsy before introducing herself "Aelah Ileud of House Ileud, representative for Annwfyn." Aelah then turned around and took a seat at one of the tables that appeared to be designated for guests. With a bit of an early arrival she would take to her phone to pass the time until the meeting began.

[Hugo Parasini]

Things were starting the shape up now, sitting now with him is the esteemed ISC Vice President Mr. Ordalos (@Altaris) himself. They worked remotely together via holo-calls regarding ISCRA matters before, but this is the first time they would be face-to-face with each other. "Thank you Vice President. It's an honor for you to be here today" he would nod his head towards him while smiling.

He also noticed another familiar figure, is that Silvi (@Killa Ree), daughter of the late Dr. Morata? She seemed like she was waiting for some someone.

Before too long, an elven lady came. representative for Annwfyn came. Hugo would then nod towards her and reply "Thank you Ileud for coming here today"

Before too long, Hugo would get things started, even though things are started, ISC personnel or others wanting to join the ISC can arrive whenever, this event is something that's going to last quite long. Hugo would put his datapad on the desk in front of him. Hugo does have passing knowledge on Annwfyn, their people are a branch of the Sephi species, and although Annwfyn are decently common in the galaxy, the planet is quite isolated in their corner in the Outer Rim. It seems this event brought this out of isolation.

Hugo would then stand up, and the address everyone in the room. "Alright everyone, lets get started." With that, he would turn his attention on the Annwfyn representative (@Altaria). "Representative Ileud, is Annwfyn seeking membership in the ISC?" And if she says in affirmative "Mind if I ask why?" the reasons are not too important.

Once the elf responds, other ISC members are welcome to comment or ask questions for the Annwfyn representative.

 

[Aelah lleuad]

Aelah rose from her seat after being called upon on. Her heart began to race, partially because of what she was going to be bringing up.

"I'm unable to give an exact 'yes' or 'no' to your question, since our circumstances on Annwfyn are a bit.. complex." She tried to cover her accent, mainly her tendency to soften consonants at the end of words. "House Ileud does not have the power to make this decision; our queen does. As you may know however, it is very unlikely that herself or the other houses will agree to join. Essentially, House Ileud is asking for help to convince them."

She paused for a moment before continuing. It felt rather silly of her to ask a governing body to convince one that is unwilling to accept such help. "In most circumstances we would never have reached out. Our people are currently celebrating the collapse of the F.W.A. due to our now invalid trade agreement with them. However, the F.W.A. provided us protection. Protection from the Empire that is. Currently they preside over the planet of Endor; if you are unaware of our history, the last time Endor was under imperial jurisdiction, Annwfyn was too."

Her hands moved in front of her, holding themselves together while resting on her legs. "The elders of House Ileud fear history may repeat itself, and wish in some way we can restore our lost shield from the Empire. We're aware that the hostilities has calmed between yourselves and the Empire, but we're afraid if that begins to change. Currently our plan is to convince the Queen to make a similar trade agreement but with your governing body. I'm ignorant of the full details of that agreement, but it pertained to our premium supply of crops. Thus, we ask if there is a way you can help convince our people that your protection will be advantageous. We, House Ileud, understand this is a rather strange and difficult request to make, and will not be distraught if given a negative response."

Aelah took a slow, concealed, and deep breath, exhaling it slowly through her nose. She's done her part for the House, and now only needed to wait for the answer. Personally she hoped the ISC wouldn't get involved since they would make her future plans more difficult to play out. However, she'd have to play her part for now.
