Also depends on what kind of zombies. If they're old school magic zombies, well you're ****ed. They make noise n shit while defying science. Thus head could still make sounds. But if it's more along the lines of dawn of the dead, or T-Virus, well you're still ****ed, but at least they won' make noise when y'cut off their head.

More than likely it was related to humor as in the liquid that fills a body, like phlegm for instance.
