Aboard the Hammer of Barab those chosen by the Imperial Administration to observe the testing of the Project EFFIGY serum have enjoyed several days of comfort and luxury. Apparently, the Imperial transport carrying the candidates has been delayed in transit by picking up Imperial Officers also looking to observe the events. However it is the members of the Inquisition and the Sith Order that have taken the greatest amount of interest in the proceedings. According to the briefing recieved just hours before the tests, Project EFFIGY is intended to allow select troopers to emulate the physical characteristics of a trained force user. Enhanced speed, strength, awareness and dexterity.

Arriving in the observation room, the observers find themselves in what is actually a refitted security room for one of the Hammer of Barab's hangar bays. Instead of the usual mountain of equipment and tight space, sofas and various accouterments have been provided to those present. Below, a Bothan in an Imperial Uniform stands in front of rows of troopers waiting to receive the test serum. Standing just feet away, his body framed by the lights of the modified hangar, is Major Clort Marbin, one of the three subordinates to the Colonel in charge of the Research Program.

He turns on his heel and gives a polite bow to those who have gathered;

"Honored Sith and members of the Inquisition. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. You will find suitable arrangements have been made for your presence here. There are terminals to your left and right to get a closer view as the events unfold." He swallows once, seemingly disturbed by the idea. "The window here can provide a wider view. Below we have fifty troopers to make up the first batch of tests. They will be restrained on the beds provided and given the injection. You already know the intended effects. To assuage any concerns we have set up an equal number of special forces around the bay as security."

The room is a bit of a tight fit, all things considered. That said, the comfortable ammenities make up for it. On both the right and left walls displays have been installed with cameras flipping through various beds on the ground.

The major appears to be nervous with so many force sensitive in the same room as himself. He keeps that hidden under a meticulously crafted Imperial stiffness.

Several of the troopers give the feeling of unease as the Bothan speaks to them in clipped tones.

Templar Virion Condorro was standing at the window of the observation room. He was staring out into the uniformed gathering of Legion elite, or perhaps fools. It was still to soon to tell. Like himself most of those men volunteered for their part in the operation. Like him, neither of them had a frakking clue what to expect. He watched carefully as the men were given there instructions, just as the Major was giving his little introduction. The level of unease and apprehension was thick enough to be cut with the lightsaber that the Templar had hanging from his hip, though the Legion officer was doing a better job of hiding it, once did not need to have the force to feel it.

"The honor is ours Major, please extend my gratitude to your superior and the Captain of the ship for the arrangements." He spoke from behind his mask. Now that the experiments were starting Virion was dress in his complete Templar robes and armor. Including both of his sabers and pistol. The mask itself was only hardened armorweave and only offered the same protection as the material under his robes. Still it was something.

"Sister, come over here. I want you to stand with me and witness this first hand." Virion would speak into Valerie's mind, with the link they shared from birth. He had invited her along to join him. Since her return to the order by his hand she was hardly ever away from him. As a member of the Inquisition, their bond gave him power and added to his zeal. She was the shield and spell to his sword and iron will. Though few knew of them as brother and sister, seeing one with the other was common place.

Virion would pay little attention to the other two Sith for now. Though he was aware that one was an acolyte, perhaps the other's apprentice but he could not be sure and currently it made little difference. They were not the mission, the fifty men below were, and as of now they would have his full attention.

The Empire was taking a dangerous risk. Giving Force powers to those not born with the gift could prove a most valuable asset in war. But, it could also backfire drastically. Valerie hoped this would not be the case today, but she kept an open mind to the future. The entire operation seemed perverse to most of the men around her, even those down below. But think of all the good it could do!

Hearing her brother's comments in her head she would stand from the couch and go to join him. Like him, she was also dressed in Sith robes but hers were not as armored as his. Her robes were sleeker and offered faster mobility. Even her mask was different: a cruel looking skull with white streaks. Her hip sported a single blade lightsaber but it was unlikely she would ever draw it. Her true power lie in connection to the Dark side and she'd use that before all else.

Verisha, as her true name was, liked to keep her identify a secret. To the Sith she was Verisha Condorro, sister of Virion and half sister to Baldr Morrigan. To the rest of the galaxy she was Valerie Black, model and actress. She had her own personal reasons for keeping her life separate, but would give up her old life should her brother ask. She'd do anything for him. That was the bond they shared.

"Today we'll witness history," she would say to her brother through her mask. The voice module inside distorting her voice slightly.

Lounged in the corner of the small yet comfortable room sat Qad relaxing on a small couch. He was preoccupying himself with the various amenities that had been provided for him and his fellow Sith. He, like the others, was here on official Sith business but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy himself while they waited. Besides, it took his mind off of the gravity of the experiment. The plan was to imbue non force-sensitive soldiers with force-like abilities. A dangerous feat that made Qad a bit nervous. He took notice of the other Sith transitioning toward the viewing window and decided it was time for him to do the same.

Qad rose from the couch and began to walk over the the window. His lightsaber, whip, and various other weapons and gadgets on his belt jingled as he moved. He came to a halt in front of the glass adjacent to the two robed Sith. The was enough space on his left and right that the fourth and final Sith could take his pick of where to stand. Qad cast an unwavering gaze down upon the fifty soldiers situated below, watching their movements and reactions. He silently took mental notes of the ones that showed promise. A Bothan man sporting an Imperial Uniform turned and addressed the group of Sith. One of the robed figures spoke up for the group so Qad simply gave the Bothan a polite nod. Qad listened intently as the Bothan spoke, absorbing as much information about the procedure as he could. He was slightly nervous yes, but he was also intrigued as to how successful the experiment would be. The Bothan remained professional but he couldn't hide his anxiousness. It was warranted however, as the experiment brought about many risks and concerns. In fact, most people present were anxious.

The tension in the room was almost suffocating as everyone waited in silence for Project Effigy to commence. Qad stroked his facial tentacles as if they were a beard. He maintained a stoic and calm demeanor but in reality he was tense. He was not sure whether the experiment would be a success or not but he was wary of the outcome either way. The augmented soldiers could prove to be valuable addition to the Empire, or a challenging opponent were they to defect. Also, Qad had concerns about the extent to which Project Effigy would be carried out. Would the experiments go far enough to change everyday soldiers into fully force-sensitive warriors? Could the patients be controlled after they were altered? Would the patients become members of the Sith order if Project Effigy proved successful? Could the Empire be looking for a replacement for the Sith? Qad kept all of his thoughts and concerns to himself as he continued to observe the events happening below.

OOC: Sorry for such a late reply. I've been really busy lately.

Down below, the spectators had a clear view of a second officer stepping up and giving a far more sharp set of orders than the Bothan before her. She gestured toward the rows of beds. In short order, the troopers had formed into a single file line and begun working their way down the rows of beds. Each of them being fitted with IV drippers and reclined into the beds. Straps of a heavy dark gray color were hoisted over their bodies and secured with what looked like magnetic clamps of some kind. The Major turned toward those watching.

"The restraints are made of Duraplast, we usually use it to restrain monstrous beasts such as acklay and other such things. It is commonly used on slave labor vessels. Even with the serum it would take a stupendous amount of physical strength to break the bindings." He explained as if he was handling a sales pitch.

"Each of the subjects is being seen to individually by a doctor to keep a close eye on their vitals and status. Many of the soldiers below are officers and field specialists. The Inquisition has made its stance clear on the waste of imperial resources and as such we are taking every precaution with their lives." He said, though he did not sound very happy about it. Probably the expense of it all.

"Once the final subjects are restrained, we will begin with the tests. Do you have any questions, honored guests?"

"Agreed, for better or worse." He replied to his sister.

Virion would then glance over his shoulder as the Quarren would finally join them at the window. Though the three would say little more between one another for the moment it was impossible to not feel the tension and hesitation that seeped from their auras within the dark side. Virion and Verisha were blessed by the dark side. It was as natural to them as breathing and flowed within them as the blood in their veins. It was also a matter of faith, of deep seeded belief in the dark arts far past that of most Sith, and even though this was an idea from the mind of their Dark Lord and Grand Priest, it still felt ill advised.

The Templar would do his best to clear his mind and focus on the experiment with a more open and clear mind, but even so he could not hide his emotions for his twin. It was to his luck then that the other officer spoke up and turned the other's attention back to the legion volunteers. Virion listened carefully as the second officer explained the next few steps and if there were any other questions.

"Not at this time Major, please continue."

Valerie shook her head, letting the others know that she too was ready to proceed. She could have yelled to him, but raising her voice seemed pointless. The only question she wanted to know currently was if this would work. Should the experiment be a success then there would be plenty of questions to come. She'd want to know everything about the serum, about the manufacturing, and also about commercializing the drug for their own uses. If she could have her own army of super powered Force users....she'd never have to run again.

Although Qad had a few inquiries, he thought it best to let the experiment commence in case it would answer any of them. He watched as the patients were prepped with numerous medical devices and fastened down with restraints that seemed like overkill. The excessive detail that was used made him wonder about just how effected these soldiers would be. Qad's eyes darted from patient to patient, taking mental pictures of the test subjects condition prior to experimentation. I wonder if there will be any physical changes, Qad thought. He continued to ponder as he re-positioned himself near the monitors that lined the room's right wall. He wanted an up close view of what was happening to these men.

OOC: I'm really sorry about this second late reply. My schedule has freed up recently so hopefully I can be more active on the site.
