DESCRIPTION​

The Promit-class shuttle is a light transport manufactured by Psykros Satrapal Astroyards, primarily for the Satrapese military but also for the civilian market. One of the more popular utility spacecraft available in the Stygian Reaches, the Promit is used for everything from cargo hauling to passenger service to survey work.

The Promit-class shuttle is approximately 20 meters in length, flown by a crew of 2 and able to carry up to 10 passengers, plus 20 tons of cargo. Top speed is 50 MGLT, and the Promit has a class 4 hyperdrive, although like most small vessels in the Stygian Reaches it does not carry an onboard navicomputer, relying on hyperspace beacon networks for astrogation data. The ship is armed with a pair of fixed beamer cannons in the nose, equivalent to medium laser cannons, and is protected by a magnetic seal generator for the hull, which augments its shot deflection properties, although the ship has no actual armor.

The Promit is the shuttle most commonly carried by large warships of the Satrapal Navy, and is often also present on bases and space stations. In its military role it is often used for troop deployment, including boarding actions and planetary landings.

Legal. Shuttles such as the Promit are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions, and are not restricted in most systems.

Promit-class shuttles are only manufactured in the Stygian Reaches, and are not available in the old Galaxy unless specially imported.
