Tycho groaned as he leaned against the wall of the cargo car, one of eight being pulled by two locomotives. The man always got a sick feeling when riding trains. Perhaps it was the movement of the train going forward and the car bouncing around on the track after completing turns. This made the man appreciate being stuck in a ship more. Far more. Man he would gladly jump onto a ship if one came close enough to the train. They had only been on the train for maybe ten or twenty minutes and the officer already felt sick to his stomach. This sucks!

A few days ago he, Miran and Parker had found the goods and other items that hade been stolen from a businessman who called on them for help. But it turns out that the goods were stolen from a gang that is far bigger than they thought. The Rebels had thought they had taken care of the problem by taking out the smuggler gang in the cavern that they found the stolen goods in. But as the trio relaxed and recovered as the goods were loaded into the train, they learned that resf of the gang is more bold than what they fought in the cavern. And from what they were told, more brutal and strategic. There is no doubt that if they were going to stop the thefts of goods that this town need to survive, they needed to find the gang. The best way to do that was to be on board the train to protect the precious goods as the train delivers them to the town the cargo was stolen from.

And boy was Tycho wishing there was another way to find this gang of Smugglers as well as to get the supplies to the businessman.

As he leaned firmly against the wall, the criminal readied his rifle, as well as his WESTAR pistol and Echani Vibroblade. The rebel hoped that this gang will come after the train or this whole trip will be a major waste of time. As well as would mean the trio will have to spend more time hunting down the gang or spending more time on trains until the gang shows up. The criminal wondered how this gang stole from a moving train because the gang that they fought in the cavern were good at fighting but may have not been involved in the initial thefts. So they had to be the ones who guarded the loot.

Being inside the claustrophobic space of the cargo car wasn't that bad. Well, it was, but it was more apt to say Ashlyna was used to it; after all, she slept in an air vent for almost a month at one point. It also helped that she kept her senses outside of the small space, feeling the presence of her two companions as they waited to reach their destination. She had brought her pistol and hyrdospanner along for this assignment, and was happy to be working with Tycho; if nothing else, she could keep him out of danger. She could feel his unease within this car, and would attempt to ease it.
"Tycho, here..." She muttered, moving towards him and putting her hand on his shoulder. Just as Ayasha had shown her so long ago, Ashlyna would share her emotions with him, as a sense of peace would work to balance out the Rebels ease. Hoping that the small gesture had helped, she withdrew her hand, giving him a smile. "Hope that helps." He was leading their little trio, if he wasn't at the top of his game well, it wouldn't be a good way to start this op; he was also her friend, so that might have had something to do with it as well. Moving away to the other side of the car, she would sit down and reach out with her senses, trying to gleam any additional warning about when or if these thugs would be attacking.

Trains! One of Joran's favourite methods of transport. If the seats were comfortable and there were suitable refreshments of course. To give Joran some comfort, he remembered Tycho's discomfort at being on a train. And now the poor man was on another, one far less comfortable. He chuckled, as the train moved on. He was at the back of the train, armed with a simple blaster rifle and blaster which meant he might be the person to be attacked first. It was what he would do if he ever decided to attack a train, attack from the back. But so far, there was no one here, and so he radioed in
"No one from where I can see from the back. Anyone see anything?" He asked

Tycho struggled to keep himself together in the tight space that was moving in different directions as the train moved along the track. It proved difficult to keep his mind off the sickening affect of the movement. For sure this will, hopefully, be the last time he will have to ride a train.

The criminal looked to Ashlyna as the woman put a hand on his shoulder. Almost immediately he felt a wave of calm flow into him. A small sigh that was released showed that her plan had worked, "Thanks Ashlyna. I needed that." He said to her quietly. The affects of her action was almost immediate as the rebel's thoughts shifted to the task at hand. Watching the jedi step away he walked over to the door and opened it.

At first he didn't see anything but then he noticed a cloud coming towards them in a north eastern direction, "There is something coming from the North east. Prepare yourselves!" Tycho warned into the comm hoping the engineers running the train will do as he says and no matter what keep the train going. If the train stops it is game over.

Armed with his Westar Rifle something hit him, "Let's get the train crew armed. They can help." He stated then called for all the train crew to come to him. There may only be a small six man crew besides the two engineers that worked the locomotive, but it will give them somewhat of an edge. With the weaponry that was being taken back to the town in the car he and Ashlyna are in, he was able to arm the six crewmen. He sent two to help Miran while the remaining four went to other parts of the train.

Moving over to the door, Tycho kneeled as he aimed his rifle at the dust cloud that is coming towards their location, "Alright guys. Prepare yourselves!"

As she opened herself up to the force, Ashlyna lacked the power to sense the incoming danger from this distance, she did however sense a raising sense of concern within Tycho from his new location, and immediately she moved to act. Tycho had warned her that there was a risk of danger, now it seemed the danger was indeed here. Drawing her blaster pistol, she would join Tycho in arming the crew. "What's going on? Are the gang members coming?" She asked, getting into position behind a crate, reaching out with her senses to prepare for the first boarder to attempt to come aboard; only for the padawan to have her sights aimed at them already. She preferred to stay close to Tycho, wanting to ensure the man wouldn't suffer any harm; though in reality there was little she could do to prevent such a thing. If it came down to it, she'd use her lightsaber, but for right now she really didn't want to.

When Joran heard the warning, he came and saw the 16 gang members come barrelling towards them at a rate of knots. Here they come... Again. He began to jog through the train towards Tycho’s position, and met up with the 2 reinforcements he had been provided with. They were hardly crack shots, but oh well. Soon, he set up a position in one of the cargo containers. He decided to open the door, giving the 3 of them a clear shot. They all lied down, and took the enemy in their scopes...

Tycho nodded, not taking his eyes off the approaching gang that he can see are on bikers now that they are close enough to see. The criminal glanced over to Ashlyna, "Yeah they are coming. Can't tell how many though." He told the jedi as they armed the crew. Nodding to Miran as he came to help arm the crew and assigned a couple of crewmen to his comrade. They weren't soldiers but it is better than nothing.

Once everyone was armed and given their assignments as far as telling the crew where they need to go. Tycho will take up his previous position at the door he had opened. Aiming his rifle at a small group of biker numbering four total the man waited for them to come into range.

When they did Tycho unleashed on the bikers, firing five shots. Three will miss but cause two of the bikers to pull away from the train. However two of his bolts hit one biker, causing him to crash into the biker on his right. Effectively preventing the four bikers from getting into position to board the train.

The man patched his comm through to the engineers running the locomotive, "No matter what. Do not stop this damn train. If you stop it is game over for all of us onboard." He will then cut his comm off to focus on the smuggler gang.

Ashlyna could sense several presences coming towards them now, as she raised her blaster and fired. She tried catching one of the bikers in the side of the head, right as the man revealed himself from the side of the train, but she missed. Two of the bikers to Ashlyna's back drew blasters and began to fire at her, prompting her to duck down and exchange fire back at them. "Oh what the hell!" She called out, one of the shots hit the rail beside her and nearly blinded her. Another grazed her shoulder, causing her to slump against the railing. She fired at the pair, only for them to retreat back behind the train for cover. Ashlyna could sense the pair still lingering there, as it seemed one of them was attempting to leap onto the side of the train now. "Tycho, we got boarders on this side!" Ashlyna called out, as she could feel the pair of men trying to climb onto the side of the train. She holstered her blaster, and drew her lightsaber, and was starting to call upon the force to jump to the top of the cargo car to engage with the boarding bikers. Once they got to the top, they'd be in for a surprise. Unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen now, as before Ashlyna could make her move, the rail she had been pressed against gave way, sending the jedi over the train and leaving her hanging onto the edge of the train now, as blaster fire began to rain down all around her. This just isn't my day.

Joran and the 2 allies which he had alongside aimed their weapons carefully, making sure their weapons were well set before opening fire on a group of 5 which were trying to board the cargo containers. Then, they opened fire as one at the enemies which were approaching. Fortunately, their shots were actually pretty accurate! The torrent of fire which they unleashed upon the enemy, killed 2, sending their bikes smashing into the ground, whilst the rest veered off. A great success and so he radioed in
"Enemies have been repelled, they might be coming back round here though."

Tycho growled as Ashlyna told him there were a couple trying to board the train. It was not because of her not repelling them that caused him to growl, but his comcern for the safety of his comrades now. He gasped when he saw the woman go over the side and bolts start flying at her.

Taking a deep breath the criminal started running over and shot at the two boarders as they rained their bolts down on Ashlyna from the top of the train. He was so concerned about the woman that he did not wait to see if his bolts took down the two gangsters before he rushed over to aid the woman. Tycho made the mistake of assuming his bolts hit them since their blaster fire stopped.

Grabbing her the criminal hoisted her back over the railing. But then the fire picked back up. Cursing under his breath Tycho, out of concern for her safety, shoved Ashlyna to the safety of some crates. He will attempt to do the same but a blaster bolt to just above his knee and another to his left shoulder forced the rebel to take shelter behind some crates that will still leave him vulnerable to the two gangsters if they dropped down into the train.

Unsheathing his echani vibroblade the officer winced as sparks from bolts hitting the crates he was taking shelter behind started to fly. He may have failed to take down the two boarders and now have their attention, but it left the two wide open for Ashlyna to take them out.

Ashlyna started to notice the stinging in her arm now, as she struggled to pull herself up. Then, with Tycho's assistance, she found herself being yanked back onto the train, and bumped into a set of crates as she watched her friend take several shots to his body. Her eyes narrowing, Ashlyna turned towards the attacking gangers. Her violet blade ignited, as the padawan prepared to launch her attack. Calling upon the force, she used to crates as a launch pad, she leaped up to the two guards and dispatched them with two quick swipes of her lightsaber. She severed one man's hand off at the wrist, and cut his partners arm off at the elbow. With the now disarmed men falling to the ground, Ashlyna then found herself having to deflect blaster shots being aimed towards her, as the padawan was forced to retreat back to her friend; stumbling backwards and just narrowly managing to recover. Landing feet first, she shut her lightsaber off and knelt beside Tycho, trying to help him up as blaster fire was being exchanged all about. "Hey, are you alright?" She asked, moving to help the criminal, knowing they didn't have long before another group of the gangers attacked them. Sensing more of the men approaching, she drew her blaster now and took aim. "These guys just can't take a hint."

As Joran and the others prepared for the enemy to return, he heard a pretty large firefight occurring down the train. This either meant that they were tearing into the enemy, and absolutely slaughtering them, or that resistance was far heavier. However, he had no time to decide what to do as the 3 enemy smugglers came round. Now was the time to continue the strike. However, this time they were coming in a whole lot faster, and when Joran and his allies opened fire, they were able to dodge all but 2 shots, which hit one smuggler and sent him flying. Also annoyingly, the enemy had returned fire with greater accuracy. This led to some poor consequences for the ally to his left as he was struck in the shoulder. This meant that he was going to shoot with pretty poor accuracy now, which never helped. However, the bikers were forced to abort their boarding attempt, giving them a few seconds to recover before the next strike

Tycho laid behind the stack of crates to shield himself after taking what he thought was just two bolts but it there were two others he didn't count. The other bolts luckily missed, or scrapped along his armor. But it didn't change the fact he is injured, armor may have taken some of the damage but he still took the damage the man's armor didn't absorb. He had taken two to his right shoulder, one to his left shoulder, and the last just above his right knee.

The criminal bit back a groan as Ashlyna helped him up so he was leaning with his back against a crate, "I took some damage. But I will live." He told the jedi. The rebel kept his head down low incase any more gangsters boarded the train, "Yeah. They can't seem to take a hint." He agreed.

Then two more gangsters managed to board the train despite the train crew's best effort to keep them from boarding. Picking his rifle back up, Tycho put two bolts into one gangster's chest then one to the other's skull. With the two boarders dead Tycho grabbed the edge of the crate to lean against as he got to his feet as there are no bolts flying through the air now. For now at least.

Quolon had got intel that a train transporting high value goods was likely to be under attack from a wanted gang. This knowledge seemed to be on the grapevine as it is, suggesting the cargo was pretty high profile. Enogh overheard conversations convinced the Jedi. Since he was on the planet anyway, he decided he may as well help if it was needed. As he approaches on a rented hover bike, he hears blaster fire from inside and the occasional yell. Matching the speed of the train and approaching the door, he spies two figures, but there could be more inside.

He reaches out with his senses, trying to discern if they were there to steal or defend, he did not want to accidentally decapitate an ally. Satisfied that his targets were in indeed hostile, he uses the Force to jump from his bike and onto the cargo cart, lightsaber drawn. He staggers a little, the movement of the car making it hard for him to keep his balance. The two thugs turn to the Jedi, before their blasters fire, his blade sweeps across from right to left, angled at 45 degree from his wrist. It cuts through their blasters with ease, their nozzles falling on the floor with a clunk.

As the expression on their faces change, Quolon focuses on two crates behind them, pulling them toward him with power, they collide with the two thug's heads, and their knees buckle. They hit the ground with a thud, Quolon gazes about for any more foes, or injured allies.

Harkam had been relatively nearby when he found out that the smuggler's that the alliance took out in that cavern wasn't even close to the entire gang and he quickly heard they were planning to steal back their good. Afraid for this fellow rebels, he jumped on his rented 88-V Ranger and steered it on an intersecting track. It hadn't taken long for him to spot the cloud of dust from the sixteen gangmembers on similar bikes, but it had taken a long time to catch up to them and he wasn't in time to prevent the attack.

Trying is best to be able to help, Harkam took his pistol to hand and fired four shots and while he managed to kill two with well-placed shots to their lower back, causing them to fall of their bikes, it was the latter that immediately alerted their compatriots. One of his other two shots his a biker in his hip, which didn't immediately incapacitate him, and the other shot just outright missed and alerted the intended target to the hostile behind him.

That meant Harkam was riding himself straight into an Oh Kriff! moment as suddenly two blasters were pointed at him. As if in reflex he put all his weight and momentum into a sharp turn in the direction the train was heading and managed to dodge both bolts doing so.

Next up was trying to get on that karking train.

Leaning against the crate the man watched as two hostile boarders were taken out by the Jedi with ease. Well it appeared that things are starting to look good for the rebels defending the train. The rebel officer nodded to Quolon, "Thank you." He will say to the other man.

Then he will hear blaster fire coming from outside the train. Now why would there be blaster fire outside the train? The criminal winced as he moved towards a closed door at the other side of the train where the sound of blaster fire is coming from. Opening the train door with a small struggle due to being injured, the man failed at first to notice the hostile smuggler gang member on the speeder bike. Who immediately fired at Tycho, a bolt injuring the rebel's hand. Wincing he fired two bolts at the smuggler. One will miss while the other hit a vital part of the snuggler's bike. The smuggler lost control of the vehicle, crashing as a result.

Now it should be clear for Harkam to board the train. With the door opened, Tycho took a step back. Leaning against one of the crates in the car the officer took a small moment to make a makeshift bandage for his hand.

Harkam had a hard time controlling his speeder bike as he tried to keep up with the speeding train, which was going so fast that the bike at absolute top speed could barely keep up. There was no time or room for more shots at the other hostiles as he knew that the moment he shifted his balance at this speed he'd crash and most likely not survive. Still, when he saw the door right next to him open and Lieutenant Draykon's face appear to beckon him in the blaster shot at the officer's hand didn't escape his notice. The next shot could very well hit his own head, meaning he didn't have a choice and had to shift his balance.

He tried to do it as fast as possible, throwing one leg over the bike and hoping to find a good enough balance to jump. One second of bad balance caused the bike to swirl away from the train and then as Harkam tried to regain balance it swirled back towards it, but too fast, and Harkam smacked hard against the compartment right next to the open door. His bike was rapidly losing speed and the young rebel saw only black when he hit the ground accompanied by a loud crack.

For a good moment he was out, his mouth filled with sand and every bone in his body was sore except for his left arm, which screamed in pain and he was unable to move it. Harkam clenched his teeth in pain, partly due to knowing he wouldn't be able to protect the train, but in major part because he was conscious enough to hear two speeder bikes stop near him.

In a desperate attempt to stay alive, Harkam drew and shot twice, killing one, but missing the other. Eyes widening as he realized that he was basically at the mercy of the criminal, Harkam prayed to the Force if it would listen, but a blaster bolt hit his chest armor, knocking him flat on the ground. Unbeknownst to both, his armor had saved his life...for now.

He turns, saber ready for whoever had just boarded. However his attention is grabbed by the two gangsters following him on board, one of which is cut down by the man, the other seems to have shot him dead. The gangster bends down as though about to turn the man over to confirm the kill. However, he turns having heard the hum of Quolon's blade and fires three blaster bolts at his chest. The aim was impeccable, and the rate of fire made it difficult to track each bolt. Quolon moves his blade in front of him as he approaches the man at a run, one bolt hitting him in the shoulder. and he grits his teeth, forcing him to let go of his blade with that hand. The second bolt goes wide, missing completely, the last graced the side of the Jedi's face, just missing his facial tattoo and the smell of burning flesh fills his nostrils and his eyes water with pain.

Calming himself down, as he gets close enough to the gangster, he reaches out the the Force to pull the man toward him, feeling his seared flesh in his shoulder rub against his robes. Quolon grunts with pain and extends his blade with his remaining hand the the same time. He flails briefly in the are, before being impaled by the orange saver. Deactivating his blade and letting his body fall, he turns his attention to his wounds. They seemed to be in the clear for now, but if any more arrived he'd need both his hands for fighting.

With the Jedi taking out the two remaining smugglers. It left only the one that Harkam is having to deal with. Due to the speed of the train, there is no possible way for the two rebels onboard the train to help their comrade. The two could only hope that Harkam will come out alive in the end. It will still not stop Tycho from trying to think of ways to help his comrade. But each ended in a dead end. If he left the train then the goods onboard are at risk of being stolen again. He just can't leave the train no matter how bad he wants to help his comrade. The criminal took a deep breath as he reached the difficult decision to not help Harkam.

Tycho did not know though that in another car that six smugglers managed to get onboard the train. They were either late to the party or just managed to get on board. Not until l, he heard blaster fire, "They're in the car behind us." The rebel told the jedi as he moved to the other car. Stepping into the other car, Tycho immediately dropped one smuggler that was right in front of him.

Taking shelter behind a crate just as a couple more smugglers opened fire on him. None of them will bring harm to the already injured rebel as they attempted to take him out. When the blaster fire slowed down Tycho stepped out from his cover, taking out another smuggler. Now only four remained. Who will be the last of the boarders that the rebels will have to deal with.

With blaster fire picking up once again Tycho ducked behind some crates again. Getting down low the man reached for a clip to reload his rifle. Only to find he has no more clips. Sighing the rebel shouldered his rifle and got his pistol ready.

Harkam wheezed, the bolt had bruised most of the ribs on the right part of his ribcage and as he looked at the grinning attacer he prayed to the Force for some luck. Turned out, the Force was listening. The attacker fired, but lossed his footing and then missed Harkam by a hair. Immediately the rebel raised his pistol again and this time he didn't miss and hit the man in the stomach, causing him to drop his blaster and crumble down.

Now both men lay on the ground in agony, but Harkam was the only one not dying..yet. With considerable effort he managed to remove his chestplate, allowing some more room to breathe, albeit still painful and filled with wheezing. There was no use for him to try and force his broken body into action. Hopefully once the train reached its destination they would come back for him...
