The Chancellor led the two Jedi to the meeting room, telling them to wait by the entrance before he himself went inside. He didn't want to overly alarm the senate; having two Jedi with him would make the situation seem more serious than he thought it was, he reasoned.
Lirra was a bit relieved when they were told to guard the door. She hated politics. She was far more happy with protecting them from a distance.
"Bored yet?" She asked Carith with a mischievous smile.
"I like observing my surroundings through the force, the masters teach that knowing your surroundings better gives you the advantage and keeps you on your toes"
"Indeed, that they do." Lirra bowed her head, a slight smile gracing her features.
"Though I must confess I rarely do so as much as I probably should. I get too caught up with one thing... and find it difficult to focus on anything else, let alone what surrounds me..." she sighed. "Something I should work on, I suppose."
*Carith raised his hand up placing his finger on her lips before she could finish her sentence*
"Shhh....Listen with me,close your eyes..Focus on the force, listen to the life, strip away everything without Life, listen to the nature, the call of the wild, listen to the senators in the room next to us, listen to the cleaning crew as they clean the debris, listen to the people as they carry on with there jobs....now focus on my voice.."
*She begins to hear his voice through the force,it is not ordinary telepathy it is like a different life*
"Now place everything with life back, slowly release the force,Place everything back in its spot as you remember it,now focus your memory on everything around you....Open your eyes"
*Carith opens his eyes and they meet with hers, everything seemed different more in tuned*
Lirra accepted the offered hand with a grin, getting quickly to her feet.
"A lesson I'm sure will come in handy in the future." She remarked, freeing her hand from his and slipping it into the opposite sleeve of her robe, doing the same with the other.
"Anyway... everything seems quiet. A good thing, I suppose."
"Just randome thoughts." She murmered. "I wouldn't trouble you with them. We have a job to do. I may speculate about it as much as I wish and it won't change anything... so why bother?"
Lirra shrugged her shoulders, knowing she probably wasn't making much sence. She just felt so useless, standing out here and waiting for something, anything, to happen. It wasn't a feeling she liked.
