Pulling Weeds - Ithor Mission Pack
Homeworld of the peaceful Ithorian race, Ithor is a verdant world, full of vibrant life. However, the Ithorians - and their near neighbours on the planet Er’kit and the asteroid colony Borgo Prime - have been worried by their newest neighbours, the Sith, who recently conquered the nearby planet Agamar. Alerted to these worries, the Jedi Order has extended an offer of aid to the Ithorians and their neighbours, helping them solve some problems in their area of the galaxy in return for the Ithorians allowing the Jedi to maintain a residency in their home system, offering protection from the Sith for all three planets.
To this end, the Jedi have been asked to help dispatch a pirate force that has been terrorizing this trio of planets recently. They’ve entrenched themselves into all three systems, and much like dangerous and pesky vermin, they’re too resilient for the local governments to fully remove them; it is up to the Jedi Order to give our aid and remove these belligerents in some of the more dangerous missions, as a show of good faith and a proof of our mission to protect this galaxy from any menace.
Mission 1: Saboteurs et Libérateurs
Er’Kit, the mountainous desert homeworld of the Er’Kit species, has been hit rather hard by the pirates. Rather quickly, the pirates - utilizing salvaged and stolen (but only minorly functional) ships and other materials - have set up a small base (of about forty individuals) in the mountainous Luun Heights on Er’Kit, and from there have been making small raids into various small villages within the region, taking members of the native Er’Kit species as slaves. The small complex has also recently been augmented with a large, stolen shield generator, protecting it from heavy fire. The government on Er’Kit has recently received transmissions that a shipment of the slaves is going to happen soon. They have asked the Jedi to go and destroy the shield generator protecting the base - and, if possible, liberate their people.
To this end, a squad of four Jedi is to infiltrate the small compound under cover of night, before splitting into two teams. One team is to go and plant small explosives on the shield generator, sabotaging it and removing the shield from the base. The other is to find the slaves and liberate them, without alerting the entire base. If the base is alerted, then they are expected to exfiltrate immediately, as high activity in the base will be cause for the local government to step in and destroy the facility, giving their fellows the mercy of a quick death, rather than a life of servitude, if they are unable to flee with the Jedi.
Primary Objective: Sabotage the shield generator.
Bonus Objective: Liberate the slaves (10x).
Conflict: Minor opposition can be expected; in the event of the base becoming fully alerted to the Jedi presence, then the Jedi can expect to come face to face with a small (though rather haphazard and untrained) militia. Stealth is key. Minor moral conflict if the slaves cannot be saved.

Mission 2: Spring Cleaning
On the nearby asteroid colony/spaceport of Borgo Prime, a haven for information brokers, black-market merchants, and other shady types - as well as much more legitimate businessmen and craftsmen - the pirates have managed to entrench themselves, using the asteroid as a beneficial transfer area for their slaving operation. As well, their thugs have taken to roaming the ‘streets’ at night, terrorizing most of the citizens into staying in their homes.
After one too many principled merchants have disappeared after refusing to deal with the pirates, and after numerous failed attempts at sending a mercenary force to route them out, the local government has turned to the Jedi for help, asking us to clean the thugs from the streets and to find out just what business is being used as a front for the pirates - and remove the infestation, by whatever means necessary.
Objectives: Wait until ‘nightfall’ and capture a pirate thug from the streets, and have them lead you to the local business front the pirates are operating under as a disguise; then, make them leave, however you have to.
Conflict: Armed pirate ruffians roaming the streets, whoever decides to fight back when you go to make them leave the asteroid.
Extra Info: This mission was pre-agreed to be NPCed by Ecclessey, and the pirate that is captured will be his NPC "Tall" Tulo Turner.

Mission 3: Expanding Our Boarders
In the outer reaches of Ottega System (the system Ithor is found in), one of the pirates’ main vessels has been found prowling about. We were alerted to this information by some information brokers on Borgo Prime, though they refused to inform us how they became privy to the intelligence; for the moment, we decided not to ask. Instead, it is time to board this vessel, and gather information from it that will lead us to the pirates’ main base, so that we can remove them once and for all.
Objectives: Board the pirate vessel (a Marauder-class Frigate) by any means necessary, fight your way to the bridge, gather the information needed, and then sabotage the ship’s systems before leaving, rendering the frigate inoperable and open to a Jedi mission to round up the survivors and arrest any remaining pirates aboard.
Conflict: About 150 crew members, the majority of which (about 80 members) are conscripted crew forced into work by the other 70 actual pirates. The pirates will be armed and likely wearing armour - kill them if necessary, but try to preserve the lives of the crew. Number of pirates may very depending upon entry point, route taken to the bridge, and method of escape. (All 140 possible, not absolute; most are in engine area)

Mission 4: Battle in the Barren Fields
Alongside the information gained from the raid on the pirate vessel, the Ithorian government has detected increased pirate activity on their world in response to all the work that has been done recently; the main pirate base is located on Ithor. This displeases the Ithorians greatly, but they recognize that a battle to remove the pirates is all-but inevitable. They have asked us to capture as many of the pirates alive as possible, and to keep the surface of their planet as free from bloodshed as possible...however, they understand that it is likely we will have to resort to lethal force.
The pirate base lies deep within a portion of the planet, in the southern hemisphere, that was devastated during the last war. The large jungles that cover the planet are missing there, replaced instead by large barren stretches of blackened dirt and rock, pitted with the scars of explosives that impacted the surface. In one of the larger craters lies the pirates’ main base, although due to the setbacks we’ve been causing them, it’s become rather understaffed. It doubles as their main hangar; however, the frigate that we just attacked was their main ship and their others were elsewhere in the sector before being similarly attacked, leaving them stranded on the planet with nowhere to go. However, there are some smaller freighters there that might try to leave - let them go; there are forces from Er'Kit and Borgo Prime, as well as the Ithorian herdships, in orbit to apprehend them.
The main problem with the base, however, is that they are protected by shield generators, similarly to the smaller base on Er’Kit - time to take those out. Once that's done, other forces can move in and apprehend whoever might be left, or just destroy the base.
However, while this should be a rather simple attack, it’s possible that one of the shadier information brokers on Borgo Prime might’ve let information of our attack slip to them, or they could’ve sent out a warning to more dangerous groups near the area, so this battle could get interesting. Watch your backs.
Objective: Infiltrate the pirate base and take out the shield generators (3x), leaving it open to a larger attack by local forces to remove them once and for all.
Conflict: However many pirate guards the group might run into during their stealth mission, as well as any outsiders who might show up - who might lend aid to the pirates, or turn it into a three-way battle.
