Standing at 6'2, Qad Praask is somewhat of an imposing figure. He's average weight for his size, and has a toned physique. Like many Sith, Qad has shaped his lean and muscular body through years of training. Most of his distinguishing features stem from his Quarren anatomy. Four facial tentacles protrude from his face and fall to just about the middle of his chest. His skin is salmon in color and smooth and velvety to the touch. It has begun to pale and his veins show more due to corruption from the Dark Side. Qad's large hands sport three finned fingers, each with a small claw at the tip. Quarrens are rare outside of their home planet, and Qad often stands out. When it comes to distinguishing him from other Quarren, only two traits stand out; his height and his eyes. Qad is taller than average for a Quarren and his height can be used to point him out in a crowd. All Quarren naturally have blue eyes, and Qad's use of the dark side has blackened his eyes over the years, leaving only specks of the vibrant blue they once were. When it comes to wardrobe, Qad is often seen wearing black robes or his Sith Armor but he has a multitude of clothes for more formal events. Also, a whip always hangs on his belt and can be used to identify him from a distance.

ATTRIBUTES
[fancybox2]
STRENGTH:■■■■■■■■■■
Over the years, Qad has honed his strength through training. He uses his strength to aid him in gaining leverage over his opponents when utilizing Makashi. He is slightly stronger than the average person his size, and while he doesn't usually use brute strength, he could potentially overpower an individual his size if he really exerted his energy.

DEXTERITY:■■■■■■■■■■
Makashi is a precise and fluent style, and Qad has gained some dexterity through mastering it. He is light on his feet and capable of many maneuvers. However, he is no acrobat and will almost never mix flips and jumps into combat.

CONSTITUTION:■■■■■■■■■■
Qad is relatively healthy and doesn't get sick often. Through training, he has strengthened his body and can take a hit. However, a series of hard-hitting blows can slow him down and wear him out.

INTELLIGENCE:■■■■■■■■■■
Hailing from a financially affluent family, Qad had access to a good education from a young age. He is an intelligent person and he cultivated a love of knowledge in his youth. Qad is of the belief that Knowledge is Power, and continues to further his understanding of the universe.

Wisdom comes with age and Qad has had many life lessons over the years. He's no sage but he's far from an imbecile. He has not experienced all that life has to offer but he is humble enough to converse with his elders for council.

CHARISMA:■■■■■■■■■■
Coming from a political family, Qad has developed a knack for speaking. He can blend into social scenes effortlessly and can command a crowd if necessary. He has a specific interest in Diplomacy and the intricacies therein. While he is no stranger to combat, Qad enjoys crafting words and manipulating others for his own benefit.

PERSONALITY
[fancybox2]PERSONALITY:
Many words can be used the describe Qad but ambitious is likely the most apt. He constantly strives to increase his power and standing, whether that be his power in the force or his power within the Sith Brotherhood. Qad admires strength and skill and respects those that have them. His main focus in life is to increase his own power and reputation and over the years, Qad has developed a lust for power. His lust for power is so great that he uses it to fuel his connection to the dark side over more traditional emotions like anger.

Qad is an intellectual and takes a logical approach to life. He is a patient man, preferring to plan and calculate rather that take brash action. He's always been interested in factual evidence and is continuously giving in to his thirst for knowledge. His logical reasoning translates well into battle as he often analyzes his opponents and different situations on the battlefield. Qad's intellect also serves him well as a tactician as he studies military strategies.

Many aspects of Qad's personality stem from his childhood, and more specifically his relationship with his father. Qad's father was a very controlling person, dictating much of his young life. The strong grip his father had on his life caused Qad to develop a need for control. He longed for the ability to guide his own actions and abhorred his time as a Sith Acolyte. He finally gained control of his own life and is determined to keep it that way. While Qad knows how to follow orders, he doesn't take kindly to individuals who attempt to boss him around and domineer him. This need for control often causes Qad to take up leadership positions to avoid being subject to the whims and wills of others.

Qad's time as an Acolyte also had a significant impact on his personality. His former master, Sixa Jikou, was manipulative and controlling like his father. Used to the treatment, Qad began to take to that behavior as well. He saw the advantages of manipulation and began to use it on others. This led him study mental manipulation. Qad views manipulation as a means to protect himself and also a way to get what he wants. His experience with it has led him to use cunning and deceit as one does armor, usually influencing events to prevent himself from being subject to the plotting of others. In a way, he finds security in it.

BELIEFS:
In spite of his father's controlling and manipulative nature, Qad revered the man and adopted some of his beliefs. When it comes to politics, Qad is more radical like his father. He is aware of the importance of negotiations but he's not afraid to take action if necessary. He is outspoken and will stand by his beliefs. Also, Qad inherited the xenophobic nature that is common in Quarrens. He doesn't outright hate other species but he does have a general dislike and mistrust of the Mon Calamari for the way they have historically treated his people.

Qad is a Sith through and through and is loyal to the Brotherhood. However, there are aspects of the Brotherhood that he doesn't agree with. He views the constant bickering and infighting within the Sith as a hindrance to their cause. Qad understands that subterfuge and deceit have their uses but he doesn't agree with the constant backstabbing and betrayal that are all to common tools for Sith to gain power. He values strength and believes that only Sith who can prove their strength are worthy of status and prestige. Qad is of the belief that Sith should outright challenge those they wish to depose.

As a Sith Loyalist, Qad believes that the Sith are the most powerful beings in the universe and have no equal. Like many of his fellow Sith, he is wary of non force-sensitives within the Sith Empire. Qad doesn't believe that individuals who don't have a connection to the force should be able to have power over those that do.He doesn't agree with non-Sith's being able to become Emperor. In the days of the Sacred Band of Ziost, Qad acknowledged their merit but he did not believe that the Sacred Band should've been on equal footing with the Sith. With the transition from Sith Brotherhood to Sith Empire, Qad has become more accepting of the role of non force-sensitives in the Empire but his sentiment remains. He doesn't agree with the Imperial Legion being hierarchically on par with the Sith Order but he sees the necessity in it. The Empire continues to expand it's influence and borders, and the Sith are not the only ones working towards that goal. However, Qad would support the Sith Order gaining superiority over the Imperial Legion, even if it's a sentiment he doesn't voice openly.

Part of Qad's extreme loyalty to the Sith is due in part to their views of the force. Like many Sith, Qad sees the force as a tool that can be harnessed by an individual to increase their power. He has a level of respect for those who can command the force and use its abilities. Qad is a fan of the power and magnificence of the force and over the years he has learned to wield the force effectively in many ways. Unlike other Sith however, he does not use anger to fuel his connection to the dark side. While he acknowledges that anger is a great motivator, Qad uses more complex emotions such as his lust for power and his need for control to fuel his power in the force.

QUIRKS:
Ever since he was young, beasts of all shapes have captivated his mind. Qad is fascinated with animals, often taking time to observe the natural wildlife of any planet he visits. He is most enamored by the dangerous creatures, usually seeking them out to admire their deadly behavior. One of Qad's dreams is to collect and tame some of the most dangerous beasts in the galaxy.

Qad is somewhat of a foodie and enjoys tasting exotic meals. He is fascinated with the history of cuisine and how different species cook. Usually, when visiting a planet for the first time, Qad will actively seek out and consume the planet's most obscure dishes. He also enjoys cooking himself, and often times takes inspiration from the many different foods he has discovered.

Weapons hold a special place in Qad's heart. Blades, cudgels, whips - if it's a weapon Qad has an interest in it. He seeks to build a collection of exotic weapons from all over the galaxy one day. In his spare time, he often researches weapons or watched footage of someone utilizing a certain type of weapon. If possible, Qad will seek to learn to wield the weapon himself.

RELATIONSHIPS
[fancybox2]FESH PRAASK (NPC):
Fesh is Qad's younger brother. While Qad left home to become a Sith, Fesh was being groomed into a politician. He rose through Dac's political scene quite quickly and is in line to become one of the next representatives of the Quarren people in the Mon Calamari Council. In spite of being separated for years, Qad and Fesh have reconnected and have a strong bond. Fesh serves as Qad's spy and his source of info on happenings on Dac.

SKILLS
[fancybox2]
4868335851_7d0f1d23a7_m.jpg
ENERGY MANIPULATION:
Following in the footsteps of many Sith before him, Qad has taken up the skill of energy manipulation in its most iconic form; Sith Lightning. He can summon bolts of electricity from his fingertips and can shoot them at his enemies. He is still learning how to harness this ability however, and prolonged use can drain him of his energy and can harm him.

MENTAL MANIPULATION:
Possibly Qad's favorite force technique, Mental Manipulation in all its forms comes easily to him. He has mastered the art of telepathy, speaking telepathically to teammates when it's not opportune to do so out loud and projecting taunts and jeers into his opponents' heads during battle in an attempt to throw them off. The mind trick is also a skill he possesses, often using it to bend the will of weak-minded individuals. In contrast to the Jedi's use of the ability to persuade others, Qad uses it to command others into doing what he wants, even going as far as leaving his victims' minds a ball of mush. His mental powers are great but they have their limits. Strong-willed individuals are a challenge to manipulate and require more time and concentration. Also, it's extremely challenging if not impossible for him to get past the mental defenses of an experienced force user.

TELEKINESIS:
The use of telekinesis is very simple for Qad. He can manipulate objects and himself with the force. His skill with telekinesis is so great that he can move and control smaller objects with only his mind. Larger objects require a bit more concentration and the use of his hands. The manipulation of objects is not the only thing he can use telekinesis for. Qad can use telekinesis to augment his body, allowing him to run faster and jump higher. This is rarely used in combat and usually used to traverse difficult terrain. Also, he can use the force to complete more precise maneuvers such as assembling an object or choking someone with the force. However, such tasks require Qad to be very focused and a break in his concentration will cause him to fail these tasks.

FORCE SENSE:
Qad, like most force users, can use the force to identify other force sensitives and their alignment with the force. Persons who are not experienced at concealing their force signature are easier for him to detect.

MAKASHI:
Qad has always had an interest in the military and when he joined the Sith he decided to study Makashi due to the prowess and skill it would afford him in battle. Over the years, Qad has mastered the form. Makashi's footwork and maneuvers have become second nature to him through years of training. He utilizes Makashi's precise stabs and slashes to quickly dispatch opponents on the battlefield. In spite of his mastery of the form, Qad still is susceptible to the form's weaknesses. He has difficulty fighting multiple opponents at once and blaster wielding adversaries are a challenge as Makashi has no defense against blasters.

SORESU:
Due to the shortcomings of Makashi, Qad has begun to delve into Soresu. He has learned the basics of blaster deflection and can block incoming blaster shots. However, he needs more practice and cannot block multiple blaster shots in succession.

TERAS KASI:
Over the years Qad has trained extensively with weapons but he has not neglected to train his body like one as well. He is a practitioner of Teras Kasi; force imbued martial arts. Qad uses Teras Kasi as a form of unarmed combat, wielding the techniques like a blade to cut down his opponents. Most of the time, Qad mixes Teras Kasi strikes and kicks into his bladework.

DUN MOCH:
Intimidation and ridicule have been tools for the Sith for Millennia and Qad utilizes them as well. In battle, Qad taunts and jeers at his opponent in an effort to throw them off. This technique usually backfires on Sith so he uses it on Jedi mostly.

MARKSMANSHIP:
Although Qad is a Sith and primarily uses his lightsaber, he has also learned to fire a blaster. He is a good shot with a blaster pistol and carries one on him most of the time. He has the most experience with pistols but could use a rifle to some degree.

PILOTING:
A decent pilot, Qad fly a multitude of different types of ships. Most of his experience comes from piloting his personal ship, a freighter, and he is most familiar with it. He has little to no experience with ships larger than freighters but could probably figure out how to fly one if it was absolutely necessary. Qad is no ace pilot and avoids space combat, using his piloting skill to transport himself to and fro. He can also drive land vehicles such as speeder-bikes with relative ease.

WHIP PROFICIENCY:
The lightsaber is not the only melee weapon Qad knows how to use. He also is proficient at wielding a whip, and often uses it on people and animals alike. Often times, Qad will use a whip in fights solely in order to send a message. It's his weapon of choice when he doesn't want his opponent dead.

LANGUAGES:
Qad is fluent in Galactic Basic, Quarrenese, and Mon Calamarian. Of these three languages, he prefers Quarrenese the most but speaks Galactic Basic most often due to the diversity of species amongst the Sith.

[/fancybox2]

POSSESSIONS
[fancybox2]SEA DRAGON:
Qad's lightsaber dubbed, Sea Dragon, is his main weapon. He painstakingly crafted it by hand, giving the hilt a curved shape with the use of a devil squid tooth and etching serpent-like creatures on it. The small hand guard is made of phrik and is resistant to lightsabers but the main body of the hilt is still susceptible to the plasma blades. The lightsaber is waterproof and is designed to function underwater.

BULL WHIP:
Made of braided leather, Qad's whip is eight feet long. The leather is durable and made to last. Qad keeps the whip on his person, hanging from his left hip. He doesn't use the whip often, but Qad always has it on him if only for the intimidation factor. Most of the time, he turns the whip against beasts but he has no qualms about using it on people as well.

CMBP-12 BLASTER:
Qad keeps a CMBP-12 Blaster on his right hip for long range combat. He doesn't use it as often as his lightsaber but he keeps it handy for when it's not an opportune time to use the lightsaber.

MK 5 "INQUISITION" COMBAT ARMOR:
Like many Sith, Qad wears the MK 5 "Inquisition" Combat Armor. He sports the Light Armor version to maintain mobility and speed while having access to some protection.

THE KRAKEN:
The Kraken is Qad's personal ship and often times his residence. It is a Deep-Water Class Light Freighter that he had customized so that the interior would be more habitable. Some of the changes he made to the base model were; installing a large aquarium, installing a small kitchen and dining area, installing a small medbay, and renovating the interior with Quarren decor. The Kraken has six separate bedrooms instead of one large crew quarters. As the ship is Mon Calamari in design, it also functions as a submarine.

GE3 SERIES DROID:
Qad owns a GE3 Series Protocol Droid that lives aboard The Kraken. The droid serves as a pilot/copilot, chef, and translator. The droid's identification tag is W4-D3-GE3 so Qad has dubbed him "Wade".

KALU AND NAGU:
Qad's first pets, Kalu and Nagu are twin Mon Calamari Eels. The eels live aboard his ship, The Kraken, in a large aquarium. Qad feeds the eels fresh meat whenever possible.

CASTLE PRAASK:
Castle Praask is Qad's Family's ancestral home and his current residence on Dac. Most of the Castle is in disarray and Qad hopes to one day return it to its former glory.

BIOGRAPHY
[fancybox2] EARLY LIFE:
Born into an affluent political family, Qad's early life was one of ease. As the eldest of two sons, He was destined to follow in his father's footsteps and to take command of the family in due time. His father, a radical politician and member of the Mon Calamari Council, wanted the best for his sons and ensured that they would have the best education possible. From a young age, Qad had access to vast amounts of knowledge. He quickly cultivated a love for learning and a thirst for knowledge. As time passed his father pushed him harder, enrolling him in the best school in Quarren City. Qad enjoyed the challenge and the opportunity to grow.

As years passed, Qad's father began to control his life more and more. His father planned wanted to plan out Qad's future career, marriage options, and even the people who he could befriend and socialize with. He knew that his father meant well but he had made Qad powerless, a feeling he hates to this day. He continued his education, grasping at whatever responsibilities and inklings of control he could.

At the age of ten, Qad finally got some semblance of influence over his own life. Due to his academic achievements, he was given a selection of schools to choose from. He had many enticing offers but he settled on attending the most prestigious military academy on Dac. To Qad's surprise, his father condoned his choice and he was enrolled quickly.

As he begun his time at the Academy, he quickly grew fond of the military lifestyle. It afforded him the power, responsibility, and control he had always wanted. Qad excelled at the different military cadences, techniques and weapon styles of his people. During his time at the academy, he learned to wield blaster pistols, spears, and swords and was good at it. Qad quickly rose to the top of his class, and was on his way towards an illustrious military career. Qad spent five years training at the academy and would have spent more had tragedy not struck.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BROTHERHOOD:
Qad's father was a politician who sat on the Mon Calamari Council. He was one of the few Quarren to hold a seat on the council and by far the most outspoken. Qad's father was very Pro-Quarren, often advocating for the uplifting of the Quarren people in society. He even went as far as advocating for the independence of the Quarren people towards the end of his career. His radical views and criticism of the Mon Calamari Government caught up to him however, and he was assassinated.

Qad's father had become a martyr for the Quarren people after his death, further agitating the sleeping beast that was the Quarren people. The death of Qad's father brought about significant changes in his life. At the tender age of fifteen, Qad was now in charge of his family. The event was somber yet liberating for Qad. He now had no looming force bearing down on his life and he could choose what to do with it. By now, Qad had already become quite ambitious and wanted to do more with his life than be a politician.

He desired to travel out into the galaxy and become something greater and he would do just that. He had heard word of a group of great warriors that inducted members based on their skill. His previous military training spurred him to seek out this group and with the help of a family friend Qad took his share of the family fortune, left his younger brother in the care of his uncle, and set out to join the Sacred Band of Ziost.

ASCENSION TO SITH:
After a long and arduous journey, Qad made it to the planet of Ziost. He intended to join the Sacred Band and become a great warrior. He was quick to prove himself, sparring many opponents in an attempt to expedite his entry into the group. He displayed a ferocity in battle that was uncommon in the other applicants his age. His plans of joining the Sacred Band were dashed however, as he was discovered to be force sensitive by a visiting Sith. Qad had heard stories of the Sith in his youth; stories of great warriors who could summon lightning from their hands. He was happy to become one and was quickly whisked away to Korriban.

Qad spent two years refining his natural ability with the force and learning the basics of lightsaber combat at the Sith Academy there. The training was tough and often times painful but Qad would not let it break his spirit. He was determined to become a powerful warrior and persevered through the initiation training. At the age of seventeen, Qad was made an Acolyte. He was assigned under the tutelage of Sixa Jikou, a Rattataki Sith Sorceress.

Sixa Jikou was powerful in her use of the force and Qad's own skill with the force improved under her guidance. She was a very strict and manipulative master and Qad despised his time under her. However, he could not deny her skill with the force and he sought to learn everything she could teach him. Under her watchful gaze, Qad's use of telekinesis and mental manipulation were honed like a sharpened blade. He enhanced his natural force abilities under Jikou but he looked elsewhere for lightsaber skill. Qad trained in Makashi under a prominent Sith warrior and his martial training was completely separate from his master.

During Qad's many years under Jikou, a romantic relationship budded between the two. However, the relationship was toxic as Sixa attempted to use seduction to manipulate Qad further. The relationship lasted years and Jikou had believed that she had entranced Qad when in reality, she was wrapped around his finger. Jikou's plan was to use Qad as her little soldier to do her bidding whenever necessary but Qad had other plans. He used their relationship to get close to Sixa and persuade her to teach him all of her techniques.

After while, the relationship and Qad's time as an acolyte culminated violently. He had persevered through years of commands and manipulation and he was tired of it. At the age of twenty four, Qad decided that he no longer wanted a Master. He openly challenged his master to a duel for her position, a request that caught her off guard. The request was honored however and the two battled. Sixa Jikou was a powerful sorceress but she was not known for her prowess with a lightsaber. The battle raged for hours but Qad's skill in Makashi and his personal training under Jikou ultimately afforded him the advantage. Qad managed to land a fatal blow on his former master, winning the battle and with it, her position.

Qad ascended to the rank of Sith soon after he rightfully earned it. As per tradition, he was gifted all of his former master's belongings. He took nothing but her small fortune and her whip, using the former to buy himself a ship and the latter as a personal weapon of his.

Thanks, I'm glad you like him. This is only my second character so I'm relieved that I didn't screw it up. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Indeed, Darth Maleval and Darth Azard were my inspirations for making a Quarren Sith. Hopefully the similarities aren't too strong.

It's fine. The inspiration is mostly going to be evident in the character profile only. When you actually get to writing them, it'll be different.

I liked the idea of a set of armor suited to the Sith and I'm glad you approve of me using it.
