While the battle was over outside the temple, Grug would not celebrate a victory. The entire reason Grug had fought so valiantly was to impress the woman who did so first. Grug was impressed by her. Beauty, bravery, and battle scars were things the Gamorrean liked. Cora was a woman that embodied these things. The latest battle scar was amazing. Her victory had helped turn the tide of battle before the Masters arrived. Grug had help avenge the woman he loved. He was certain she had to feel the same, but a small part of him felt he could have done better to protect her.

"Pistol, dead man not need" Grug said to himself as he picked up the Thunderslug pistol Cabba had been wielding. "Lightsaber, not need."

Grug collected the two trophies of battle before going back to the steps of the temple to sit. He removed the power pack from the pistol and crushed the gun. A combination of the force and his natural strength deformed the gun into a small loop. Grug then put the hilt through the loop that was a gun barrel meeting the clip slot. Almost as if wrapping the lightsaber in a bow. The Gamorrean Jedi then ripped up some flowers from outside the temple to put into the barrel and ammo slot of the pistol, making an adorable and odd display.

Last, but not least, Grug went inside the temple to go to the medical bay. Along the path he found a canvas with some paint. He stuck two fingers into the pink paint nearby and one into the brown. In pink he drew a big heart and with the brown he wrote 'git wel, Kora'. The canvas and present were then brought into the medical bay where he would see Cora herself. The big guy would say nothing at first, but simply offer his gifts.

Cora was devastated. She had taken direct damage from a pulse wave gun. She knew she would never fully recover from this. The wound was ugly, and it permanently disfigured her. She was still in the medical bay, wrapped up in bandages. Recovery was slower than her usual follow up after battle, and she was growing antsy. Cora was sitting up in her bed despite being told to lie down, and she was trying to force herself to eat some soup she found disgusting.

Disappointment hurt her more than her injuries. She was ashamed of how quickly she went down, and she hadn’t been there to see the aftermath of the battle. She had let her comrade down, and at first she thought he had been killed. Thankfully, the Grandmaster and other powerful Jedi showed up to the scene. This only embarrassed her more as it meant they were there to witness her failure.

Cora was about to lie back down when she spotted Grug arriving into her hospital suite. She blinked at him a few times, observing the strange little assortment of ‘gifts’ he carried. She recognized the terrible gun that did her in, crushed and twisted. She also took note of the flowers, eyebrows furrowing as she recognized them. She could’ve sworn she saw a worm wiggling within some of the dirt still attached to the stems. Cora looked at Grug instead, trying to ignore the fact that she could sense his overly gushy feelings, “H-Hi Grug,” She smiled faintly, “I’m glad to see you’re going okay and weren’t hurt in the fight. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you through the end,” Cora took his gifts and looked down at the card. She couldn’t help but smile at the misspelled words, “Thank you for all this, you didn’t have to.”

Grug had been nervous about showing his affection so openly towards Cora. When he first handed over the gifts she seemed confused. The trophy of the weapon that harmed her plus flowers were a very romantic gesture but he wondered if she understood that fact. On Gamorr that would result in a marriage for the avenging male's bravery and combat prowess. The Gamorrean also knew that maybe she had heard that Grug got help. He would have won alone, but help made it quicker. Not only that but maybe she would be upset that Grug had let her become so injured. She was a warrior though and he knew that she would feel similar shame. Not all were like Gamorrean women.

"Cora. Is kay. Hi." He grunted out of order in responding to her. "Am sorry not help better. Bring weapon that harm, break it. Grug be your warlord."

If Cora was familiar with Gamorrean culture, which was unlikely, she would understand this was basically a marriage proposal. Grug was in love with a green woman that could fight. He knew he was strong and could be a good partner. She was not the typical Gamorrean woman that stayed home to farm and make the home, but Grug always wanted a partner that was more fun. Grug hoped she would agree but knew the Jedi were often avoiding such relationships.

A large, congealed line of snot was slowly leaking out one of the large pig-like nostrils on Grug's face. He had essentially not taken a breath since making his comment and the lack of breathing in meant the snot flowed out instead of being sucked back in. If Cora took a deep breath she would probably smell the sweaty creature who had bathed recently, but nonetheless was smellier than most beings. If she dared peek at the gaps in his clothes and armor she would see many barnacles attached to his body like warts scattered over his skin. They fed off of his stench and body oils. His yellow teeth looked like they had never been brushed or cared for at all. His tusks were uneven and wild with a few chips in them. To top this all off, his nerves had made him more sweaty and his heart beat faster which somehow would enhance the stenches.
