Question about the plot system.

So, I had a question. I know a plot has to have some sort of goal, but does that goal need to be IC, such as getting a new ship, or could it be an OOC goal relating to character development, such as to establish another character as an archenemy or something like that?

But as far as I'm aware you can have both ooc and ic goals. Strong character development is a fine goal for a plot, even if it's not aquiring any material assests.

You can do a plot for IC reasons or for OOC reasons and both are perfectly valid.

It all depends on what you want.

If you want to grab a ship for your character to use IC? Then that's a perfect example of a Character plot, or even a Tech plot if it's new technology.

Equally, if you wanted your character to learn and develop as a fighter and have him do four combat threads then that is a fine character plot as well.
