This may be adequately answered when the full write up is published later this week but I'm itching to flesh out the profile I've started so let's speculate and question a bit shall we? Mainly focusing on Jedi for the moment.
Basically, is it reasonable to assume that the Jedi and Exile forces have some non force sensitive troops at their disposal? I imagine it would be difficult to plunge the majority of the galaxy into a calamity so large scale that it is referred to as the Hundred Year Darkness without some traditional soldiers but I don't want to assume anything out of place.
On a similar note, after so many years of fighting I believe it would be reasonable for the Jedi to take students both older than typical, (Typical age of course is normally either raised from childhood or at the oldest picked up around age 12, at least from the profiles I surveyed from the most recent timeline). Also, what is the general consensus on how many years are spent as a Padawan before promotion to Knight? There are a ton of late teen Knights running around, but most characters seem to have been raised within the Jedi order.
Basically I'm asking if it would be reasonable for someone to be brought into the order at a more advanced age, say 16-18 and be promoted to Knight by 22-23? I am imagining the process is probably a little bit accelerated and the guidelines for bringing people into the order are probably relaxed after a hundred years of slaughter depleting their forces.
If this is going to be covered extensively in the full write ups I'll just sit on my hands for a few more days but I'm pretty excited right now so I'm compelled to ask questions.
