DESCRIPTION
While the original Quickdraw pistols were a custom order from an exclusive client, Starburn Combat Systems immediately saw the potential profit margins in marketing the exotic design, and variations of it, to other discerning customers. Their entire business model quickly shifted to focus on hand crafted high end designs like the Quickdraw, offering many "special editions", limited run sets, and one-off custom works for auction, dabbling occasionally in new and experimental weapon designs. In the intervening centuries since then, Starburn was unable to keep their exclusive trade secrets very secret, and now the Quickdraws once signature one-two punch burst fire mode isn't quiet as exclusive as it once was. Numerous manufacturers have since copied the design, flooding the market with knockoffs. Despite this, modern variations of the Quickdraw pistol continue to be highly sought after for high-end bounty hunters, successful mercenaries, and rich collectors all the same because, "when you buy Starburn, you buy quality."

LEGALITY
Some restrictions. Although Sith Law does not address these pistols directly and they are legal to carry in most places that otherwise allow for the open carry of personal side arms by civilians, the use of enhanced fire-rate weaponry in the commission of a crime is universally considered a very serious enhancement charge.

INTENT
To serve as a baseline for rapid fire pistol weaponry that enterprising gunslingers can aspire to acquire, and to update a popular weapon from the previous Timeline.

ADVANCED TECH
YES. These weapons (and copies and knockoffs from other manufacturers) are highly expensive and often difficult to find, requiring special brokers or well connected arms dealers. 1-2 tech plot threads of appropriate risk are required to obtain one.
