Skills & Abilities:
Excels in splicing, console repair, scouting and sniping. He's proficient at close ranged and hand-to-hand combat, but he prefers to keep his enemies at arms length as often as possible. If he kills a high-profile mark without showing his face, he makes a tiny notch on his favorite belt.
Personality:
Quintus is a classic imperial with a slight twist. He's a xenophobic, rich, spoiled brat of higher-up noble family; covertly he fights for a Empire without the Sith. An Empire for Imperials. He also desires the destruction of the Jedi Order, and all force-sensitives in general. He blames all force sensitives for for the innumerable loss of imperial life, despite the fact that the war sways in the Empires favor. There is always an air of superiority about him, but he's smart enough to know when to lower himself and push aside any thoughts that could land him in trouble.
A // Letter
"The Star Cabal stands for us -- innocent bystanders caught in the Jedi and Sith upheaval. Conflict not of our own device. Through the Society we crawl out from their heels, and salut the days of our past. Give rise to the Empire, and be thankful the blood has yet to be culled."
- Sir Batiatus Senior

Dear Father,
Forgive the delay between responses. Your communication arrived as always on the twenty-third last month, but I wished to give this letter a modicum of organization before sending it on to you. I thank you for your concern; I've thought much of you and mother, and am pleased to hear of your success in the political stratus. Your life remains challenging and productive. I would have expected nothing less. As for my life here...

It's smoggy.

The grit and grime, the rubble of a militant excursion; I can live with. The rats that scurry around in the cover of night? I can live with. The aliens who skulk around our camps like phantoms, spending every waking hour scavenging for scraps from the troops? I can live with. I can even live with the stench of decay lingering over the dead strewn about this misbegotten world.

But the smog? It suffocates me. It clogs my nose, burns my eyes; my mouth is filled with a sour taste that even the strongest drink cannot wash out. I am stationed on a world where every shape and sound is blurred and muffled by this blasted smog that chokes my every breath.

Thankfully, this little cantina just south of camp is still standing. I find myself in it, occasionally, enjoying what little comfort I can. In fact I am sitting in it right now as I write this. With the doors shut, and my eyes purposely avoiding the windows(as if I could see anything through them anyway), I can pretend that I'm stationed somewhere a little more suited to someone of my upbringing.

I'm afraid you weren't expecting this kind of response to your letters; and you'll be further displeased to hear that I don't ever plan on returning to my old life. It seems that I am arrogant enough to think the army forges a real imperial and affords one opportunities that your field of choice never will. You and I will forever be at odds on this subject.

Our resident Sith has ordered my team to scout further to the north on the morrow -- for which I must express my gratitude. The opportunity to "get off my ass", as my comrades might say, animates me.

However, it is curious that he acts ignorant on sending a team in prior, and moreso for how deeply affected he must be by their loss. Affected by singularity, perhaps. You know the type.

My comrades take their station for granted, scrounging amongst the dirt and smog for what fresh air remains behind the Sith incursion. The facets of rebellion are on the rise and our people assume arms against each other. Nineteen years now since our society began. Unlike you, I shall not remain idle. The mask of gentry indolence is one I wear all too well; but one of many to come.

Stay in health, father.

Let mother know I miss her, and say hello to my brothers.

I love this character.

The fact that he hates the Imperials, and wishes for the extinction of all force sensitives is something that is certainly interesting about the story, and it will be certainly interesting how you rp the character since their are a lot of Sith Warriors that help the IAF. His stats are also well rounded which is something I like.

Please let me know if anything is wrong with my profile! It was my first so I expect some issues. Credit to Toska for helping me iron out my profile though. He also did the whole layout aka made it purty. lol

Oh! You ninja posted before me! Hah. I'm glad you liked it. Hopefully I can get in some RPs soon-ish.

Well one thing I would suggest is to make sure that his rank is okay to have with the big shots in charge of the Imperial faction. Usually new military characters start out with lower ranks than a officer's, but it's up to the faction leaders decide if okay or not. Either way good luck with this character, he seems promising.

I recommended him to write it that way; couldn't figure out the Imperial ranks heads from tails between commissioned and officer. I assumed officer entailed similar qualifications it does in today's military.

Xenophobia is going to be very interesting, as though there aren't any active PCs that I know of: the IAF does allow non-humans to serve unrestricted in its ranks. In addition to that, as others have pointed out, there are Sith who often work alongside the IAF (not to mention the Warmaster, who can kill/demote/replace Generals below them as they desire/need). That's going to be something really interesting to see played out and I can't wait to see what kind of IC conflicts and encounters it will lead to.

Overall I think the personality is very nice and the letter fleshes it out quite well - just with one problem. You need a bio for the character, to cover who they are and where they came from. You clearly know what all it would entail if your writing quality is any judge.

On the topic of stats, I really like how well-rounded they are. Not totally incompetent in any one thing but not a master of any of them either, allowing him room to grow and develop as a character. I definitely look forward to playing alongside him with my Trooper at some point in the future.

Sans the lack of a bio, this character is really well put together in my opinion. I notice you already posted in the sign-up thread so I feel the only further help I can offer at this point is: this. The ranks and specialties of the IAF explained. As best as I've been able to read and from my own experience in the military, I imagine Troopers aren't considered commissioned officers (or the IAF equivalent) until the rank of Captain considering that is the rank where your ability to command and lead troops seriously comes into play.

Oh, and that name? Makes me think of Cremisius Aclassi. And that is very cool.

Do you mean OOCly or ICly? Because OOCly, the thread numbers are fairly simple and far more direct than Jedi or Sith in my opinion. However, ICly in the rank descriptors it doesn't really cover it. It just seems like Sergeant bleeds into Captain with little distinction. I've never read anything covering those who come into the IAF as officers but that hardly means there isn't anything on the topic. I mean, look at how new I am to the site.

In my opinion a bottom-up mentality that didn't allow for somebody to enter as an officer would both be an enlisted man's dream (imagine, any CO you could have will be a Mustang who knows the struggle!) but at the same time it seems like it'd be incredibly hard to maintain any sort of reserve of mid-level officers given the chances of death/dismemberment in the lower ranks that would quite obviously prevent a lower ranked Trooper from ever reaching the rank of Captain, much less rising up to become a General.

Right now I'm pretty tired, so I wont add a biography tonight.

I'll explain a bit more about his xenophobia. The old empire was xenophobic, and Quintus' family is traditional. A lot of their ideals harken back to the original Empire. Most of the time he wont be openly xenophobic because that will obviously get him killed by his alien superiors. What he will be is subtle about it, like scoffing at the idea of letting a twi'lek dance for him, or cracking jokes like, "That's all they're good for, yes?". Either way I expect interesting interactions.

As for his name, it's roman. I've been watching Spartacus lately.

Thank you for the links and information. :)

I like this character. Very much so.

I admit I'm a bit pressed for time at present, so I haven't the chance to fully read his profile. But just at a glance, this is impressive work.

I've just read his bio, and I found out that he's actually quite compatible with my Stormie XD Both got that perfect range of negativism, I'd wager. I like him! And yes, like others said most Imperials start off as Recruits, unless the Admins specifically ask you/allow you to have a PC with a higher level. It's just to make sure that you're willing to develop the character etc.

I've read a little about him. The TV series is amusing, but the slave rebellion has my interest waning.

P.S Thank you!

EDIT:

After thinking over it, I've decided to make Quintus navy instead of army.

I neglected to say so earlier but I enjoyed the narrative. Felt it characterized Quin excellently. I am excited to work with him and see where you take the Cabal.

The Cabal Quin is in isn't entirely like the original, it's a remake with imperial loyalists at the head.

I'm going to add some information about it to his profile.

I hope he doesn't enslave anyone to fight in the arena.
