DESCRIPTION​

The Rahax-class strike airspeeder is a light combat repulsorcraft originally developed by the venerable Pan-Galactic Power Products, a massive firm which produces everything from starships to kitchen implements. Although originally exclusively made by PGPP, the design has been licensed to a number of smaller manufacturers, and there are any number of unlicensed copies as well. Rahax are a more or less ubiquitous part of many Outer Rim militias and other small armed groups, being easy and cheap to buy and maintain.

The Rahax is a simple design, four engines attached to a slab-sided fuselage and stabilizers, a pair of light laser cannons and a 2-shot concussion missile launcher, 9 meters in length and flown by a single pilot in a cramped cockpit. Cheap to build, buy and operate, the design offers few frills, and is not especially fast even compared to other strictly atmospheric fighters; it is highly maneuverable, however, and can be a danger even to full-fledged starfighters in skilled hands, especially at low level.

LEGALITY​

Legal. Although the Rahax is considered an armed airspeeder by most governments, and thus will require certain licensing and registration on any civilized planet, it is not otherwise difficult to acquire or operate.
