The BT-7A Gunship acting as a shuttle for this trip rumbled for a moment as it settled down onto the landing pad. Camellia took a deep breathe as the pilot tampered with the controls to lower the ramp so she and her pair of security detail could depart. This was a big opportunity for Rendili right now, she felt as if there were a lot riding on her shoulders. Still, stalling would get her nowhere so she wasted no time once the go ahead was given that the ramp was down and she was clear to go. However, once the young Rendili Admiral exited her ship and stepped outside she was somewhat taken by surprise. For one thing. . . . it was much colder than she had imagined it would be.

More seriously though she could see a lot more of the bustle on the landing pad than she had been able to in the passenger seat behind the pilot's chair. There seemed to be a lot of workers moving about, unloading several ships of whatever cargo had been brought in on them. There was a lot of security around too, checking the ships before the landing pad's workers went aboard. There was even a group heading her way now.

Dolin Cosst was a pragmatic man, he hadn't become the youngest CEO of Rothana Heavy Engineering since its inception because he made rash decisions like those who came before him. Dolin had to be the reasonable and cool headed Chief, with RHE still healing after its tragic explosion years ago, there was no room for any other attitude.

When Dolin heard that a representative from Rendili was coming to his yard, the young master couldn't quite figure out how he should feel. Obviously whoever was representing Rendili was coming with some form of offer, possibly to even buy the yard outright. While this was great news, and Dolin would need help from an organization such as Rendili, he did not want to appear as some crippled fish, swimming along in the ocean taking its final few breaths.

Upon the arrival of Rendili's envoy, Dolin would increase security, double the efforts of the rebuilding, and make sure whoever was coming knew, that even though they had the credits, and the cards in their hands. Dolin would not beg, flinch, or let them believe for a moment that they had an upper hand.

"I told you, your uniform isn't universally practical." A voice spoke up from behind the Admiral, who had gone off before the half of her escort more familiar with worlds of extreme weather - because good pay knew no borders - could advise against her doing just that. A large, warm coat wwould soon fall upon the Admiral if she kept still a moment, dropped by Cortan as he emerged wearing such a coat himself. He liked these things for a variety of reasons really, with greater ease of hiding weapons one of them, but he'd easily confess to Rendili having much better suppliers and quality than those he'd previously used.

"Though this is the world that once served as the backbone of an entire navy..." Sure, it hadn't lasted to the very end of the conflict, but nevertheless, even someone like Cortan knew that the Clone Wars started with fleets of Rothanan acclamators at the helm. A thousand years may have passed since then but if the Mandalorians could stick around for whoever the hell knew how long, surely these people still had to have their shipbuilding touch.
"I imagine our host will be waiting in his office, if he isn't coming to greet us personally. Just need to find it." Cortan noted as he gestured onward, figuring that if noone at all came to guide them, then he would simply have to start asking himself.

The voice that spoke out before a coat was dropped over her shoulders made the young Admiral laugh in response. She had actually been about to snap at Cortan for a number of other reasons because of what she had initially thought he had been referring to, but seeing what it was her was talking about instead just made it seem funny. Especially considering she had been nearly oblivious to the cold when she had first stepped out. Of course she knew it was cold here, the planet was notorious for it. However, Camellia tended to consider herself more resilient to chilly temperatures. Not that she would have enjoyed being without a jacket after a few minutes here. "Yes it was. Nice to know someone else has done their history lessons. Rothana Heavy Engineering also developed equipment for the army back then as well though if you recall. As for our host, we'll give him a moment. They have a lot of people running about here. They seem to be very hard at work and busy. I wonder how much they're still recovering and how much is usual business. Too bad I never had the opportunity to travel much as a kid. Would have been nice to see this place with a station still in orbit."

"Sent a security detail to bring our guests up to my office."

Dolin said as his finger depressed a button on his desk for communicating with his secretary,

"Not enough to make them feel threatened, but enough to put them on edge."

And so the mind games began. Dolin would have to play this tight and close to his chest, if he did not want to see his families legacy dissolve into just another arm reaching from one of the many galactic superpowers.

Many people believed Dolin's grandfather to be a madman and a mass murderer, and perhaps Dolin agreed. Someone who could press a single button and doom hundreds of workers to their deaths to protect their ideals could be described as mad. As Dolin looked out through his office windows to see the bustling yard, and the countless workers trying to bring Rothana back to its former glory, many of whom being sons, daughters, and other relatives to those who were at Rothana back during that terrible day.

Dolin mused, if it was madness to nearly turn this place to ashes, and madness to return, perhaps madness was the only way to survive in a place such as this.

"Trust me, traveling isn't... all its cracked up to be." Memories briefly flashed in Cortan's eyes, but he soon realised this, and tried to shake it off. Instead, trying to find reason to cheer up in spite of the... current atmosphere, as it were, Cortan spoke again.
"Though, if there was anywhere else you wanted to see but never got to, we could always find some time for the two of hs." Was he serious? Probably not, but the smile he put on would make it harder to tell if he was enjoying something only possible in his imagination, or just the tease itself. Even if that kind of talk with a superior officer was unhelpful to boot.

Fortunately for him, a distraction soon came in the form of an apparent security detail, and he turned to meet them.
"We're the diplomatic envoy from Rendili, here to speak with Mr Cosst. This is... Ambassador Swift." It briefly escaped the man whether or not they were known to be here in the capacitt of the Raiders, or were, as far as anyone knew, Rendili's actual, on the book diplomats. So, to cover both bases, Cortan had opted for the more contextual term that applied whether she was officially an Admiral or not.
"If you could lead the way...?" He then asked, gesturing ahead, and would follow after as required. Couldn't imagine it'd be too far now...

Camellia couldn't keep from blankly staring at her subordinate for a moment before settling on glaring at him as the initial surprise of his remark caught up to her. Although it quickly softened when she thought of an appropriate response to Cortan's comment. However, it appeared it would have to wait as a security detail approached them and Cortan was quick to address them to indicate they were the Rendili Ambassadors. The choice of introduction was an odd one to Camellia though, resulting in her arching a brow at the man beside her before they followed after the security personnel. It served to distract the young Admiral for a moment so that she didn't find the amount of security welcoming them was odd until they were in the facility. There was far too many for just a delegate and their entourage, even if they had been suspected of planning to attempt violence. I wonder if their cautious because of the Mandalorian incident long ago or if they're just attempting to be intimidating. If it was the former she could understand, but if it was the latter she was worried about what it might mean during the discussions ahead.

They would likely reach the CEO's office soon enough. Honestly Cam hoped they weren't going to start calling her ambassador. She had no official designation as such. They at most knew she was merely a representative. If asked she would correct what her position was for clarification. However, it wouldn't be overtly important. "Before I lose the opportunity to comment on your remarks earlier, you do recall I'm in a committed relationship. And you know of what preference I hold. You saw me with her at the starship convention. Maybe if you were of the fairer side you're idea might have had some effect." Grinning as she finished whispering, Camellia looked ahead as more security opened the door to an office and ushered them inside where a man behind a desk was waiting for them.

"Welcome, my guests. I trust you trip was relatively painless."

Dolin motioned for the two envoys to sit down on the uncomfortable chairs he'd specifically picked out for this meeting.

"I'd offer you food or drink, but we tend to have few creature comforts here. I assume water will suffice for the time being. But where are my manners." Dolin said as he stood up from his desk extending his hand which still had a slight oil stain from a previous job,

"My name is Dolin Cosst, and I run things here at Rothana Heavy Engineering."

As he smiled as empty smile, Dolin tried to read his two new "friends". Neither of whom gave off anything of note, the man seemed a tad nervous for some reason, but kept that under wraps. Dolin couldn't sense anything from the woman, perhaps this negotiation would be more interesting than he had initially thought.

"You never said anything to me on how close you two were. For all I knew, you could have been just... friends." Cortan gave a sheepish shrug as the two Raiders went along with their escorts to the CEO, before relaxing his arms.
"And I will have you know that I am very fair... but your point stands. Hope you two enjoy each other." Cortan had no concerns as to the Admiral's preferences, and being fair, he could partly see why she had them. But, such was the thing of gossip, to be had and discussed off hours, not when they were moments from meeting...

"Mister Cosst, I presume?" Cortan asked as he entered, and was met by a confirmation in short order. Given the gloves that came with the uniform, Cortan paid no mind as he shook the man's hand.
"Cortan Windchaser. I'm part of Miss Swift's security detail." And having confirmed that, Cortan moved outside, seeking to stand. It'd be rather uncomfortable trying to sit in this coat with the sword still strapped to his back beneath it. That and being able to pace around would help him warm up.

"Not painful at all Mr. Cosst." Smiling pleasantly at the man as she took his proffered hand, Camellia noticed the smudge on his glove when she touched it. She wondered if it was left there purposefully or not? Or if it had been placed there just to be noticed? Although she saw no reason why that would be. It didn't seem strange to think the man might have been doing some work himself with how busy and pressed the facilities looked getting themselves back into shape.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. As for the water it would be much appreciated, it'd be nice to have something to drink while we work through these discussions." Taking the seat offered to her, the young Admiral sat down and looked to Dolin to progress. "Shall we get right to business then in the meantime?"
