this was taking longer than he had hopped. the traveling from system to system was rather annoying and the gathering of information was bothersome to say the least. it wasn’t difficult to find what he was looking for but rather just the effort was never desired to be expressed. then again if everything was easy where would the fun be in it.

once again Geir looked at his personal data-pad as he reviewed the information he had collected over the past couple of days. his target was the privateer known as simply “Mudrauder” even as the Sith agent read the alias the corsair went by for the umphteenth time he rolled his eyes. perhaps he thought it was fearsome and witty at the same time. Geir Ambros smiled at the thought of asking him personally as he stole from the pirate and his militia what they had stolen from others.

this wasn’t exactly a sanctioned mission by the sith nor did Geir particularly care. a few of Mud’s outfit were among the few survivors that had tried to betray his parents. now he would get some long overdue revenge as well as no small amount of loot from their stash. it also helped that nearly all of them had bounties on their heads. though the mixed blooded male was not particularly worried about the moral implications of taking another life, as far as he was concerned this organization had profited parasitically off of those less fortunate than themselves so he wouldn’t give a second thought about removing them from existence.

the ship the man flew in dropped out of hyper-space into the Circarpous major system. the only place of interest to him was Mimban, or rather what was in orbit. barely visible to the naked eye at the distance his ship was at was large cruiser but heavily modified. it looked like some celestial beast had taken half a dozen various ships and welded them haphazardly to create a patchwork of symbiotic station sections. paint-jobs and livery from various times and places of the galaxy were visible as he came closer to the hull and viewed it on a ship camera.

finally caught up with you.” Geir said with a wry grin and turned to head to the back of his ship to prepare for what was to come.

--------

Get those crates unpacked and into storage. Mud’s going to be pissed if the fruit goes bad like last time.” The quartermaster barked for the second time in the past hour. The crew of the freighter was feeling rather cocky after their most recent haul. They had raided a group of supply transports and among them was a shuttle for a planetary governor’s personal stock. But the quartermaster knew they still had work to do. The station they were on was almost equivalent to that of a space station and had been their base of operation for the past few years. The Mud Raiders as they had become known as had been very prosperous this past year and in the quartermaster’s opinion they were becoming soft maybe even sloppy.

Sloppier than usual anyways.” He said to himself before leaving the open loading bay to give his report to the boss.

A slight growl could be heard beneath the cargo bay of the Mud Raider's ship. It was where they kept valuable prey that they wanted to extract information out of or sell for ransom. A week ago they had caught a large Shistanvanen after the wolf-man had attacked them, causing six of the Captains men to perish capturing this new found individual. Freki shook his head, a pain emitting itself from his head onto his body, another large growl would escape his lips while yellow pupils would glare daggers at the Raider before him. Tilting his head to the side, Freki would glance over this individual, the one would was had been trying for the last week to break the Shistanvan. 'The time to strike back is near, Freki. The bait, the bait has been played.'

He had been given a task, to cause this entire fleet to fall in to a pile of rumble. Over the years, they had taken something from the Organization. A key. Freki didn't know what the key was fornor did he care much. He was here to stop Sin from growing. Greed amongst these Raiders is huge, you could almost feel it boiling beneath the skin. They pillage, steal and rape for their own fiflthy pleasures. What a way to live life, without any purpose. No greater calling. The inablity to be anything more than a mindless drone following a mess of an alien. Oh well, the Hunt is almost at the climax and Freki could barely contain his excitement.

Letting out of a soft sigh, the wolf-man would whimper a bit in imaginary pain before speaking softly towards his captor, "I will tell you everything. Including who I am. Come closer, there is too much blood in my throat to talk above a whisper for a long period of time and I have a lot to tell you..."

The prison guard would step closer, his face inches away from his captive. Depsite the beast before him standing seven feet tall and weighing in around twice as much as he, the guard was incoherently brainless. There was a reason he was a guard and not a person to go out and forge himself a way to get the Captain's praises on regular raids. His ways were too brutal and trusting. A blade could do wonders to gain information and he trusted his skill with it that the Shistanvanen was not tricking him. All of a sudden, the Beasts head would snap forwards, his large jaws clamping down on the man's neck. The last thing the prison guard thought about before his lungs collapsed was who this wolf-man could be? Where did he come from?

Freki threw away some of the flesh that had gotten stuck in between his teeth. "Foolish mortal." Concentrating, one could feel an energy come forth around the Shistavanen, searching, going forth towards the dying husk before his feet, grabbing on to the key ring and lifting it up, unlocking the bindings that held the Shistanvanen up on the wall. If one were to be watching from a distance, all they would see was a beast with closed eyes anda key ring levitating and unlocking the wolf-man. Landing on his paws, Freki could only smile grimly as he knelt down towards the man whose throat was torn out, "I am Freki, the Wrath Hound."

With the words said, the Beast would stand and make his way out of the prison, towards the Cargo Bay, in search of the Bridge where he hoped to find the Captain. The man was wearing a necklace, the necklace had a key on it and Freki would not fail his Organization. Not from a bunch of Space Raiders.

Geir touched his favoured weapon that hung on his back, clamped by a mag-lock holstering system. the staff was perhaps the most precious of items the mutt of a man owned. he had checked his blasters that resided on either hip. two spare blaster cartridges each were carried in addition to two thermal detonators. this wasn’t a full on assault and so Geir didn’t want to be weighed down by the ammunition and ordnance he would normally use. if the worst occurred he would have to think quickly, something that can be learned but not exactly taught. what better way to test his skills by going up against ruthless pirates.

the male’s back straightened as he turned slowly to look out the cockpit at the space station. something had caught his attention. something was going on out of the ordinary on the patchwork station. the male activated a series of codes that he had acquired while stealing the ship he now flew towards the landing bay. so far the station hadn’t suspected a thing but the fact that they hadn’t even hailed him in the first place was peculiar.

something is definitely going on” he said to himself as he eyed the landing bay. no doubt he would not have the same luck leaving as he had arriving. unless he killed everyone on the station but that was unnecessary but not out of his capability. two rag-tag looking weequay looked at his ship and motioned unofficially to get his attention.

Geir was not dressed like a raider, no he was more like that of a private mercenary and as soon as he left the ship they would be on to him. the two that were waiting for him to disembark were carrying blasters but the half dozen individuals that had their backs to him and faced the durasteel door into the rest of the ship had taken cover behind various crates and appeared to be anticipating an attack coming from within the ship.

what have I got myself into this time?” he said almost in a curious manner and not in a negative way as they usually are spoken. this perhaps would be an interesting story in the making. with a flick of a finger he lowered the ramp which the weequays would wish had never moved.

------

elsewhere in the ship Mudrauder had received information from the security station onboard that one of the livestock had broken loose and was stalking the halls of the installation. but it was soon revealed to his dismay that it was not an angry dewback or a ronto in heat. it was not even an actual beast, it was a prisoner that one of the raiding parties had taken captive. a warning had been sounded but unfortunately the crew were only somewhat prepared for this. too long had they become lived comfortably from their profiteering and the little defense they had kept up was outside of the station on any direct attack. some of the raiders locked down parts of the station and others banded in small hunting parties trying to sweep the halls to kill.

Mudrauder watched from a holoscreen the progress of his own men and the ever moving wolf-man. it was some distance from the cargo area to the command bridge. one of his personal bodyguards noted he should perhaps leave. if they were after him then they would expect him to be here. “Ready your weapons boys. we’re not abandoning this place but we sure as hell aren’t going to be reckless about it. let’s get this beast before-” the captain was quickly interrupted by one of his communications personnel. he growled slightly. he hated being interrupted but his anger soon changed to confusion by the words the man said. apparently an unscheduled ship had docked and was meeting with the bay crew now.

that’s not right who ever is down there isn’t one of ours.” he said and tapped the communications control on his command chair. “Captain to hangar bay. who’s docked with us?” there was no reply for several seconds and the captain growled again. he hated repeating himself almost as much as being interrupted.“this is Captain Mudrauder, who the blast is down there. Answer me!”

another few moments passed and he was about to repeat himself for the third time when a voice chimed in over the speakers. it was one he didn’t recognize, one with a confidence, apathy and some hint of entertainment but over all it was annoying to the pirate leader. "Hold on a sec there...Mud. you actually call yourself that? i’ve got to say you might want to think about hiring better help next time. your hangar crew didn’t put up much of a fight, but we can talk when i come see you in person."

the comm-link went dead just before the captain bashed his blaster into the speaker in roar of frustration. “what are you waiting for you goons. i want both of them dead!

The first thing Freki did during his escape was to grab the comm link attached to the guards' ear, placing it within his own ear canal so he could hear what goes over the comms and loudspeakers. 'It is not made for my ear but it will work for now. Time to get my gear.' Over the next few minutes, the Hound made his way to the contaiment area of the security area, breaking in and grabbing his gear. A tan robe that snugly fit against the males' body, covering most of his chest besides a slight tuff of black fur escaping right below the neck. The garb hung over the legs, covering them as well. It was soft, light material with plently of pockets sewn in to the garb to hide and store tools Freki keeps. It may not provide ample protection but he is of the mind, you must be able to hit someone before you do any damage to them. A personal datapad was securely tucked away in a secret portion of the garb, right next to his weapon. A single-bladed lightsaber his handler had given him many years ago. The hours of training he had placed in to his body and this weapon, it finally is starting to come to fruition. All that time...

Taking the hilt from his garb and placing it lightly in his right hand, Freki would think about what to do next, 'Engineering next. Cut the power to the ship, lock the Captain in the Bridge. These men of his are not trained enough to fight in the dark, especially against something they would not be able to see. Walking forth, the engine room was across the Cargo Bay and underneath it, one would have to go back to the Cargo Room and cross it before heading back down to reach the engine room. That is where the Hunter started when his comm-link buzzed with the Captains and new intruder's voice.

"Interesting. Seems like another party has decided to show up. As long as he doesn't get in the Organization's way, he should be okay."

Some minutes later, guards had approached the Hanger bay, surrounded by two doors. One leading to the Cargo Bay and the other door, down to the security holding areas. They knew that Prisoner would have to make his exit sometime and this was the only way out. All of a sudden, they could feel a presence. Dark, creeping, it slowly moved forth on to these ragtag soldiers. The pressure of this force, it scared them. The doors forth open and a figure stood in darkness, seven feet tall, must have weighed almost 300 pounds. It was holding something, a hilt. The pressure, it was too much, this man, no...this thing...A burst of orange leapt from the hilt, at this exact moment, the fear fully took hold of this group of men and they fainted, passed out from this beast's dark side presence.

Freki walked forward, stepping over the bodies of fallen raiders. "No resolve. Barely tapping in to the Force, but yet they cripple. How Mother Jaina would have destroyed these miserable excuses of henchmen." Continuing forth, the Cargo Bay doors opened up, showing off Freki with his glowing lightsaber and the guards laying right behind him. "Engineering room, where are you?"

shutting off the comm-link Geir stood up from the most recent of the raiders he had killed in the hangar bay. they were still smoldering from where he had struck most of them with his staff. the male walked over their forms like one would avoid an overturned log in a forest, not paying it much mind. he thought for a moment wondering which way to go about the ship. Geir could try to find the special stowage areas, perhaps find a manifest of all of the valuables on board. most likely the captain and a few others would have the most important stuff unregistered. it wasn't like these pirates to keep things well documented anyways.

there was a moment of halting presence that suddenly approached. at first he had thought it was from all of the malicious intent and various atrocities these scum had been up to or held but it was just on the other side of the blast door. Geir's heart increased slightly and he smiled as he felt the pure rage on the other side without even attempting to reach out and sense what was there. fear fluttered before fading and the doors parted from the other side.

what the agent saw was a rather large, black fur covered beast of a being. it wore robes and most peculiar of all held an orange lightsaber and all around it were bodies of other corsairs. the male cocked an eyebrow and held Vagabond casually with both hands in front of him. "you're not here for me are you?"

Yellow eyes gazed at the male before him, he seemed unassuming, confident and suave. A man who strived for life. The voice was also of the one earlier who mocked the Captain of this ship about his bodyguards. Reaching out with the Force, there was a raw natural body within this mans own. Untapped potential, the man was Force-Sensitive but most likely did not even know. Bringing his left paw up and placing it below his chin in a thinking manner, 'How saddening. He has no idea, does he? Oh well. He is not important right now. The key is.'

Letting his left appendage down, the right arm would press the lightsaber's button, deactivating it for now. The man before him could attack, but Freki trusted the Force to give him plenty of time to react, let alone his bodies natural dexterity. "Depends. Are you going to get in my way..." Freki said while walking forward and right past the man before hime. He did not ask a question, it was a rhetorical. This man was an ordinary being, quite a disadvantage compared to the Hunter even just racially if one would not include Force Training. Plus it seemed like the male wasnt here to cause trouble for others besides the Raiders.

any ill intent towards Geir was not evident in the wolf-man’s appearance. he had deactivated his lightsaber and was not of the jedi order obviously and didn’t seem like the usual sith warrior. the male still had his helmet on so his expression was not visible though everything that the shistavanen did made it obvious that Geir didn’t know enough about the male. he was curious but held back any of the more personal questions, for now.

the large being walked past two meter tall male and he just watched him pass though he ended up voicing a question of his own. “can I ask what you’re after at least?” twirling his staff he seated it once again on his back where it had been before he had used it to take out the occupants of the hangar.

"The Captain of this Vessel. I am on my way to the engine room to destroy their electricity flow. Once that happens, their power will go out. I suggest if you would like to leave unscathed, you leave now before the airlock doors shut without a plasma torch. You never know what may come out in the dark..." Freki simply stated facts during his brisk walk. He was in no hurry, the Captain was most likely watching them right now. A scared, trapped little animal he must feel like. Knowing that all he can do is feel stuck, helpless. The power that coursed through Freki's veins, enough to quell these Raiders. No wonder people mistrusted Jedi and Sith alike, they were dangerous, dangerous enough to take out entire cities if not more so by themselves if their plans were well thought out.

Geir took in the words the large individual said. he thought them over for a moment before shrugging. he already knew where the bridge was. Mudrauder would have the answers he was looking for and know where the priceless items were that the raiders had acquired. at the very least he could download any of the information the bridge computer had. Geir felt that the wolf-man didn’t know the extent at which the station operated. the male always figured out how to get himself out of sticky situation even if sometimes it was by the skin of his teeth.

leaving the hangar he grabbed a blaster rifle from one of the downed raiders and set off on a trot barely slowing down to kick one of the raiders in the face as he tried to rise from where the wrathful agent had dropped him. Geir whispered to himself as he used his Heads Up Display to see what the best path to the bridge would be.

Freki continued making his way towards the engine room. The man he had met went his own way, undoiubtly heading towards the bridge of the craft. Freki could care less as long as the man did not take the necklace that lay on the Captains neck. If he did that, the Hunt would continue towards this inidividual and Freki has never lost a Hunt, especially a personal such as this. First true test of the mans resolve in the wide open galaxy by himself. Nor did the man know that after taking the necklace, Freki was supposed to send the spacecraft downwards in to the planets orbit and everntually crash in to it. It was one of the main reasons why he was targeting the engine room first.

Freki started to move at a quick pace, front paws hitting the ground as he eloped on four appendages, his speed greatly increasing. Once he made it to the engine block, he found a couple inidividuals hidden inside it. No doubt engineers. "Turn off all power to the ship and make it so it can not be fixed anytime soon. That is if you would like to not perish by my teeth like your prison guard did." A slight grin would come over the wolf-mans face, ever so enjoying himself and how this scenario is turning out. One thing the Organization always preached was honesty and Freki took that to heart. If he made a promise, he kept it. The engineers turned off the power, handed Freki a main component system that would have to be needed if repairs were to be done anytime soon. Slipping it inside his robes, Freki would release the Force to twist the two engineers up against the wall and place metal tubing on their bodies, holding them there so they could not get any hasty ideas while Freki went to the bridge. 'Too bad these men will die once this ship crashes in to the planet. If they do survive, then the Force was with them. Hmm"

With that, Freki turned and walked in to the black, his fur causing him to blend right in unseeing as he made his way towards the Bridge. Utilizing his lightsaber when needed to get through any blast doors that may or may not be closed.

the lights all around the ship went out. most stayed off but some sections returned to dim red emergency lighting provided by backup generators. this surprised Geir for a moment before they too dimmed and went out. he knew what was coming and hopped the wolf-man knew what he had just done and the effects it would have on such a shoddily made and poorly maintained instillation such as this.

just as he had expected hiss feet left the ground and didn't return on their own accord. No artificial gravity, the field in the hangar bay is probably gone so the blast doors have sealed meaning it won't be easy getting off this hunk of junk. the life support would go soon too if it hadn't already. but there should be enough oxygen to survive long enough to get what he came for. Geir's mind thought of the number of bodies he had left in the hangar bay and imagined them being sucked out into the void. good thing they were already dead otherwise that would be a terrible way to die. hopefully the Z-10 seeker he had flown in on was not damaged though he wouldn't be able to get out of the hangar directly. it would be a few moments at this pace before he reached the bridge. he launched himself forward down the corridor and on through the next. the lifts wouldn't be working nor any other electronic quick travel. the uninterrupted power supplies for the bridge equipment had less than twenty minutes before they would lose power and Geir would be unable to retrieve data from them and that was in peak efficiency. so he estimated he probably had somewhere between ten to fifteen minutes before they lost power for good.

"maybe i should make that a priority after all." he blink clicked across his HUD and selected a song to play on repeat until he arrived. it was not uncommon for him to get pumped up before action and he wanted something to help focus his attention and get in the moment. after the first few moments he was grinning from ear to ear from under his helm and eager to get what he wanted.

there had been a few doors in the way and even fewer fights against any remaining raiders that were onboard. Geir had used the Vagabond to get past both of these since they were equally inconvenient and in his way. he barely even called them fights since they had little to no experience in zero gravity environments. it reminded him of a time when a corellian corvette had been commandeered by a group of spice smugglers that had made the mistake of using their own product. the one that had put a bounty on their head was also the owner of the ship and so they had hired the "Pale Fox" to recover the stolen property with minimal damage. Geir had done something similar to what the shistavanen had done here though the ship was was much smaller and Geir was more prepared for the floating combat that ensued. apparently drugs combined with a loss of equilibrium don't mix well. Geir didn't have to do much to the self proclaimed crew on that job and it was fairly easy credits though he had to make some special negotiations with the client since he wasn't pleased with his methods of messing with his property.

Geir pulled himself out of the memory as he arrived right outside the bridge. he took a deep breath and slammed his hand against the bulkhead so it would ring dully to the other side so the occupants of the compartment would hear his presence. he then proceeded to open up the communications link he had used to taunt the captain before only now he used the codes through his own helmet's system instead of the pirate's.

"Mud, buddy. I'm giving you a fair chance here. I've infiltrated your base, killed...a lot of your men and I'm literally right outside your door." he spoke with feigned concern as if he was convincing him to react on behalf of his own benefit even though he was backed into a corner. "you're stuck on the bridge with no power, no life support, very few guns and basically no other options." the armor clad male placed the two thermal charges he had brought with him against the door and backed away to a safe distance. he could wait and let the life support take them out but that would mean the terminals he wanted to get data from would have been dead and unusable as well as the remaining crew would be very desperate for oxygen and he hadn't figured a surefire way of getting off of this death trap. not to mention the wolf-man was probably on his way here now and would end the captain if he got his fangs near him. "last chance Mud-man." he said only a second before the explosives went off.

his HUD switched to thermal imagery and picked out the body heat of two individuals which Geir put down with two blaster bolts each to their center of mass before chucking the blaster into the opening he had made. the chaos and moving shrapnel and debris caused by the explosion floated in the air and the remaining body guard who had been sensible enough to not stand directly on the other side of the door fired his weapon off at the movement only to swing back around a moment later and fire a single shot off at the approaching individual who batted it aside into a terminal operator and following up by separating the bodyguard's head from his shoulders.

the captain who had been hiding behind the safety of his throne until now raised his own weapon and fire off several shots only to either miss or have them being deflected into the bulkhead or deck of the bridge. Geir swung the Vagabond around with swift precision and used the shoto blade to cut the weapon and the hand of the captain down the almost completely atomising the man's middle finger. the captain yelped and fell backward clutching his damaged appendage by his forearm.

"told ya." Geir said before walking past a few of the raiders that remained at their terminals. the armored man brandished his three-sectioned light staff before commanding the direct attention of the whole bridge "if you don't want to die today you'll leave immediately and find legitimate businesses and become a contributing member of society." there was little to no hesitation as the few remnants fled through the blasted door to other parts of the ship in the hopes of finding an escape pod or some other means of getting as far away from the individual that had single-handed defeated their leader.

Geir walked over to several terminals and plugged a data-pad into each one. little more than a storage device. the captain struggled to keep himself from making noises of pain but under his helmet Geir had a bored expression on his face. "Look captain, i just want to know where you keep the really good stuff. the kind of things you don't..." he glanced at the dead bodies of the men he had killed just moments ago. "didn't tell your own men."

there was no response from the captain for a moment except a look of defiance followed by a bit of spit that found its way to his faceplate. geir sighed and took his still lit lightsaff and cut off the captain's arm. Mudrauder cried out in pain and surprise and continued to wail as Geir used the unburnt dry part of the man's sleeve still wrapped around the severed arm to wipe away the spit from his faceplate. Geir tossed it aside like one might throw an empty fruit peel after removing the fruit from within.

"i'm a man of my word, and i promise i won't kill you if you give me what i want. now, i've already got a lot of information from your database and maybe even already have what you know in my possession. just tell me where it is and i don't have to move my blade a few inches one way instead of keeping it still." the tone he now used was one of indifference. he didn't care really if the man told him or not. he probably would find some decent stuff from the locations he had acquired on his datapads as well as potential intel on various subjects from the data-base of the pirate instillation.

the captain mulled it over though the resistance in his eyes faded back a little, understanding he was in no position to resist let alone come out on top. the least he could do was live through the day so he finally spoke with something other than a curse or slur. "fine. you can find a crate in the mass food freezer beneath the smelly fish packages."

Geir stood up and looked at the male for a moment. he knew the man was half expecting to be killed regardless now and probably regretted saying anything at all but the Fox meant what he said and turned and pushed off to go back to the cargo area that was beneath the hangar where he had come in on, leaving the captain to clutching his severed arm. "to bad the shistavanen won't be as merciful as me probably." he muttered himself as he stowed the dataslates in his backpack.
