Sith Corvette The Crusader
~En route to Malastare~

[beebox4=70%]OBJECTIVE: The Sith Temple on Korriban needs to be rebuilt. Hard labor is not the choice of trained assassins; that work is for droids. I'm sending you on a mission to bring back a dozen set of construction droids to begin work on the temple renovations. But something goes horribly wrong on the return journey as the droids wake up and begin attacking the crew.

Secondary Objective:
  • Spare as many droids as possible. We don't want to lose our product.
  • Find the culprit behind the sabotage

RULES: Players cannot be aware of the droid attack prior to the mission. It must be an implied surprise.[/beebox4]

This would be the first chance for the Ra'Kul Clan to prove their worth to the Sith Brotherhood. Bellatrix Ra'Kul herself would be joining this special endearver to bring some aid to her Sith Brothers out there rebuilding their temple. She'd heard of a shipment of construction droids had been delayed due to a transport issue. Bellatrix quickly snatched up the opportunity. She would requisition one of the Sith Corvette's to fly out there and pick up the droids herself. It would cost her a pretty penny to pay the Captain to fly out there, but if a reputation blossomed with the Brotherhood then the payment was worth it. While her apprentice, Sarabi Morienna (AKA: Kitten), procured her personal shuttle, The Thunderstorm, to take her and her mistress up to the Corvette, Bellatrix felt that something was missing. If she was ever going to let her clan rise and spread on their own, she would need to start trusting them with missions.

She was currently wearing her red battle suit given to her by the leader of the Dark Knights of Sin. The base of the suit was red but the outer metal plates were red and gold. It was based on the leader's Arbitrator P.A.K and given a more vampiric look to the helmet to match her sister's who was often referred to as The Vampiric Sister. The armor was pretty standard in design and use but customized to have boosters in the legs for additional lift during a jump or contrarily a landing. Also, the back of the spine held a secret compartment that could carry a lightsaber, but Bellatrix owned no such weapon. For a time the child had been a part of the Dark Knights, but difficulties with her sister caused her to drop out. That was all in the past though.

Bellatrix walked over to the group of kids who were sparring with one another and call out, "My children! I have a question to ask of you."

"Yes, Mother," they would reply out of respect for her position and power in the clan. The kids stopped their fighting and all came to her side. Those that had once been at another's throat gently helped their brothers to their feet so the two could walk as equals. This is what family was really about. No hatred. No jealousy. Just a drive to be better and stronger as a unit. This is why Bellatrix stayed with them. The Ra'Kul clan would one day be a force to be reckoned with.

"As you know, I am going to be gone for a week or so on a mission for the Brotherhood. I have already left things in order to continue your training in my absence, but there is something else that bothers me. It's occurred to me none of you have ever worked with me personally. Who among you feels worthy enough to join me on my quest?"

This was Vega’s first mission since leaving his fostered Mandalorian family. As he was informed, this was also the first time the Brotherhood would dispatch the Ra’Kul clan on a recovery mission. It would seem his aspirations were in line with the leader of this clan: to prove their worth to the Brotherhood.

“Who among you feels worthy enough to join me on my quest?”

To Vega’s surprise, this Beatrix Ra’Kul looked no older than himself, though much smaller. He gazed at the leader, clad in crimson battle armor. She spoke to the apprentices around her with a stern, but amiable voice. Knowing himself to be young, he wouldn't underestimate his companion on this mission. Vega also knew this girl to be an ally of the renown Knights of Sin. He’d never had a mentor himself, and he was far too skilled to search for a master at this age. He was searching for a group, a guild, of strong Sith; he would become stronger by fighting alongside formidable comrades. He was under the impression that some of the construction droids he’d be recovering would be delivered to the Knights to aid the reconstruction of their base. If Vega were to assist in seizing these droids, maybe the Knights might let him fight along side them.

Vega parted through the crowd of apprentices with ease as they were younger and smaller than him. He removed the black hood that sheathed his face, and ran his fingers through his dirty blonde hair. “I'm worthy,” he said warmly, almost chuckling. He’d already been assigned the mission on his last trip to Korriban. This was first time he’d meet his comrade; he was rather interested.

I'm worthy,”

Hearing the boy's voice, Bellatrix would turn to address it. Her eyes looked him over, judging his skill by his appearance. It wasn't anything too overpowering, but she could see the truth in his eyes. He was ready to fight. Bellatrix put her hands on her hips and would start to walk around him, another tactic to judge him.

"You, Huh? Vega, right? Well you look the part. Not that we'll be running into trouble or anything. But will you fight for your Mother if the time comes?"

The boy would feel the young teen's Force presence flowing over him, guiding him, searching his feelings. She would know if he was planning on lying to her. She would sense any doubt or fear he had. Bellatrix knew that the older members of the clan would lay their lives down for her at a moment's notice. They did it as a sign of respect. Not sorely to Bellatrix, but to the leader of their clan. Whoever was the strongest was their leader and they would fight. Would Vega do the same?

Vega didn't have to look down at Bellatrix to see her scrutinizing glare, as she circled around him like a curious lioness. The surrounding apprentices also watched inquisitively. "Well," he finally broke the silence. "I killed my mother long ago." He smirked as he finally turned around to face Bellatrix when she stopped circling him. "And my loyalty lies with the Brotherhood, as does your's. But if you are the tenacious Mother Ru'Kal, then I will certainly fight alongside my comrade." Everything he witnessed was intriguing to him: the strength of the room full of youth, and the idea that someone around his age was the leader of it all. "You look a little young to mother this many children," He joked, though, possessing adequate social skills--it didn't come out as funny as intended.

"Does my age have anything to do with my love for them?" she would say coldly. She didn't quite get his joke either so his words came off as an insult to her, a threat and challenge to her power. "My loyalty may lie to the Brotherhood, but that's only so far as they are of use to me. I've seen Sith kill off one another on their greater quest for power. We are not about that here. The Ra'Kul are family. We look out for one another. Everyone one of them will fight and die for me. Can I trust you to do the same?"

"Hm," there was much to take in from Bellatrix's response. "I've never known family," Vega nearly shivered at the word as it brought only wrathful emotions. "But, I too, will stand by those who prove of use to me. I will fight for you, Mother Bellatrix, as our goals are the same. But as it proves on the battlefield, we must be willing to die for each other if we are to succeed in any mission." Vega was never one to throw his life away for another's, let alone someone he'd just met, but he understood that in the field of battle if one didn't have their comrade's back--it could be the end for the both of them. "If no other sith wish to aid us," he spoke to younglings that surrounded them. "Then we should soon depart. I'd like to get back to Korriban as soon as possible." He flashed Bellatrix a sly smile. "I look forward to fighting alongside you, Mother Ra'Kul." Vega outstretched his hand in search for a handshake.

A wicked smirk would appear on the girl's face while he spoke, and then she returned his shake, "I look forward to seeing what you are capable of then. Welcome to the Ra'Kul Clan. We'll be taking off in five minutes. Hurry and get your gear."

She would then let him run off to prepare whatever baggage he needed for the journey. When he was all set, the ramp door would shut behind him as he walked onto the Thunderstorm. There were several different rooms on the starship, but not enough to value giving any sort of tour of it. Bellatrix figured he could do just fine figuring it out on his own. Though, if he tried going into her personal quarters she'd have to have a very difficult talk with the boy.

With a nod Vega walked onto the Thunderbird, not a large ship but certainly well equipped to get the job done. Vega walked to the hangar until the ship would depart, and readied himself for what was to come. He didn't carry a huge arsenal on him as many Sith did these days. Beneath his black hooded trench coat were dark assassin garbs fastened tightly around his growing muscles. He'd been training a lot since he'd left Mandalor, as he hadn't been appointed a mission until now. Strapped to his left leg was a simple blaster pistol, and inside his right boot was a vibro-dagger. In his hands was the long hilt of his lightsaber pike, which he leaned against--relaxing until the mission would begin. He wondered what the leader, this Mother, was doing at the moment. He was eager to fight beside her and compare himself to someone else so youthful; but he knew this mission was a simple appropriation of construction droids.

The trip up to the corvette would not take long at all. There was only the matter of flying out of Korriban's atmosphere before they would dock with the large cruiser awaiting them in orbit. No less than a half hour's journey the three of them would depart the Thunderstorm and onto The Crusader. The group would be met by one of the ship's officers, but the Captain was currently on the bridge. Bellatrix would ask to be taken there so she could discuss details with the man, and so she would take her leave. However, before she left she would do something that would likely intrigue the young Sith.

Bellatrix would walk over to Sarabi and ask her to kneel down. The girl got on her knees before everyone in the hanger deck while Bellatrix whispered into her ears. The girl gasped; her eyes shifted over to Vega for a brief moment before returning to her mistress. She would continue to give instruction and then suddenly pull the redhead into a rough embrace and kiss her. A large blush appeared over the girl's face before Bellatrix released her. She would then start to leave and wave to her pet and say, "See you later, Kitten! Have fun!"

Sarabi slowly rose to her feet and would gulp slightly as she tried to hide the blush on her cheeks. One of the officers would then address Vega and ask him if he would like to be shown to his quarters. Sarabi was welcome to come as well for her room was just down the hall from where Vega would be staying. The two Sith, accompanied now by the fleet officer and one of his protocol droids, would enter into the turbo lift and descend four floors to the living quarters. After a long walk, seemingly on the entire other side of the ship, the man would finally stop at one of the cabins and swipe a keycard which he then handed to Vega.

"This will be your pass, do not lose it. Mistress Ra'Kul has informed us of your late arrival and we happy to accommodate her wishes. This card will get you onto any floor that you wish, but we ask that you not enter employee areas while the ship is in transit. Have a good evening, Master Vega Sir."

The man and his droid would start to walk off expecting Sarabi to follow after him to her room. However, before she went she would turn and say to Vega, "If there is anything at all I can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to ask. My mistress has asked me to help you in whatever you ask of me."

Vega stared in awe as Mother Ra'Kul embraced one of her subordinates with a kiss. His young mind spiraled as he hadn't often witnessed public affection, let alone with a Sith...and two women. His life in the Republic, and his time with the Mandolorians were sheltered. His mind would spiral only for a short time before one of the officers escorted him to his quarters. He was handed a pass.

"My mistress has asked me to help you in whatever you ask of me."

"I don't need any assistance for now. I will be ready as soon as we reach The Crusader." Vega turned his back to the girl and attempted to open the door to his quarters.

"I don't need any assistance for now. I will be ready as soon as we reach The Crusader."

"As you wish," she would say and take her leave.

His private room was probably smaller than he expected it to be. It had two beds, oddly enough, and seemed to be fit for a large family. With little time to accommodate for him they merely gave him one of their guest rooms which were usually rented out to any sort of royalty or nobility that were accompanying them on their voyage. The room started off in a small living space with a couch and a mini table. The room also had a fridge as well as a stove. Beyond that room held a restroom to the right and a small closet to the left. The final room of the quarters were where the two beds were placed and a nightstand between the two. There was a fake window installed with the curtains closed to give the room a more lively feeling.
